Brett Favre is a man's man. He is football to its purest form. If you thrived off victorious comebacks, dramatic finishes, heartbreaking losses, and couragous performances, then Brett Favre was that guy. If you lived for moment when a team back is against the wall without any hope, and yet one person spark the prevailing moment, look no futher than number 4 himself. Also, if good ole' bad weather games, adversity to the highest point, the underdog that everyone loved to root for and personified the " not even my advisaries hated me" type of mentality a guy possessed, Brett Favre was your man. We have seen it all from a guy i have coined, "The Adversarial Loved One", which gave meaning that if a person didn't like the Packers, they couldn't hate Brett Favre. Now that the Favre era has ended, no need to look down Packer fans. The future is bright for you guys. Last season, we all saw something that has never happened. Brett Favre needed the Greenbay Packers. Yes, i said it. For the first time, as much as I hate to say it, the Greenbay Packers carried Favre. Year after year, no matter what system was implimented, Favre and his "gunslinging" play carried the Packers even when the system wasn't verry well designed. But last season, when Favre was basically on his last leg, had nothing to play for, and actually played within the system. The wide receivers carried him. Sure we all still saw Brett Favre. But less is better. And that's exactly what happened. When Favre decided to be himself. The early interceptions in Dallas was a notification and the interception that caused the team their season also was the notitfication of what Brett Favre needed and didn't need to do. Guys such as Donald Driver, James Jones, Greg Jennings, Ruvell Martin and others carried Brett Favre. Yes i do grant that Brett Favre was able to be the good ole' gunslinger that we were accustomed to seeing, not as often as we are use to seeing. Last season was an indicator that showed how talented the Greenbay Packers are. All sides of the ball was great. Come 2008, the Packers are still the favorite to win their division. They are good offensively, defensively, and on are pretty good on special teams. For every CheeseHead fan out there that worried about Aaron Rogers, well, don't. If Rogers play within the system and don't try to be Favre-ish, the Packers will in my book be as good or better off. No, this is not a persecution of Brett Favre's , this is a revelation to the Packers team as far as talent and continuity.
Yes, plays like this always kept the packers in games. and often saved them. Even left us wondering the possibilities of his greatness.
But Plays like this seldomly left us scratching our heads and hurt.
No Pressure young Aaron Rogers......
All you have to do is win one of these.....
