Why does it suck so much to be a Buckeye? I mean, come on. We made it to both the football and basketball national championship games this year. Granted, we choked in football, and we really didn’t stand a chance in basketball, but why did we have to lose to Florida in both games? It’s never fun being a punching bag. Gawd…I almost feel like the Cubs fans right now. Will the pain ever end?

Oh yea, I got in to USC and Boston for graduate school in journalism. I got wait-listed for NYU and I'm just waiting on Columbia. If I get in to Columbia, that's where I am going. My heart is pulling for USC but Boston offered me 10K to go to their school. What's a girl to do?

To be completely objective...was it really so surprising that Florida won? Not really. Did I want to see Noah beat his chest in joy? Definitely not!!! Man, I can't stand that kid. At least Greg Oden is the silent type. Of course, he'll be silent in the NBA by next season. I hate to see him go, but what's the point in sticking around? If I was 19 years old and people offered me millions of dollars to play basketball, I doubt I'd turn it down. Then again, I'm just stoked that some school wants to offer me 10K to pay for one semester of graduate school.

There's always next year...

Congrats kid! Sounds like you did well on the testing for those kinds of offers. How is the gig going in Vegas? More importantly, how are the bi-monthly conjugal visits working out!!!!

As for the Final Four, I couldn't get excited after watching my Patriots run last year. It seemed like everyone supposed to be there was, hence not much drama.

Sorry to beat you guys up so bad.

I did, however, attend the final game with one of my best buddies, an Ohio State grad.

I plan on posting something about our trip, once I've fully recovered.

However, I can tell you, as we walked around town prior to the game, EVERYONE came up to us commenting on how we could possibly be hanging together. It was pretty funny to see everyone do a double-take when looking at the blue shirt, then the red shirt.

Interesting how two major institutions that have never played each other in a game that mattered has now become arguably the biggest non-conference rivalry in college sports.

I knew the dual beating of Ohio State at the hands of Florida in another championship game had to bring you back or nothing would.

Ohio State impressed greatly just by getting there to begin with. Most people were thinking the winner of Georgetown vs. North Carolina was going to go the final game. A lot of people also thought that Texas A&M would keep Ohio State from the Final Four period.

I see you are still pondering which school to accept, and I wish you luck being accepted into Columbia so it makes your decision a no-brainer.

If not Columbia, USC is definitely the way to go. Go with what's in your heart.

I'm wondering how the Vegas thing is going if you're thinking about schools on both coasts.....

Hopefully it's going well!

Who says a theater girl can't love sports? I may be a Northwestern graduate, but I'm an Ohio State Buckeye at heart. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, I relocated to New York City to find a life on the stage. After four years of trying, (and finding some success), I am preparing to return to graduate school to pursue journalism. As an NGS II finalist, I got my feet wet as a FoxSports blogger and think it may be my new calling. Like theater, I doubt a job in online journalism will pay very well...but what can you do? I sing, I dance, and I can drink beer and eat chicken wings at a sports bar like the best of them...what more could you ask for?
