I cannot believe the Yankees would let him go like that! I am amazed at the fact that a manager that brings the franchise 4 world series titles, is now gone. What are they doing down there. The next guy that comes in, will have a tougher road. There is no way you replace a Joe Torre, with his track record. How are you going to offer a 1-year, 5 million contract with incentives to make the World Series. Steinbrenner should get all the blame on this one. Well it should be an interesting season in 2008.
Well Bears fans, you finally done something right, for once. But this was long over due on benching Grossman for Griese. This should have happen last season, what took so long? I for one would blame his coach Lovie Smith for this. But the coach got it right, even though its 1 season too late. They are 1-2 (won-loss record) right now, but still have a chance to save your season. Sadly, i do not see a return to the super bowl this year. Heck! I really did not think ya'll had a chance anyway. Griese is no better, but I don't understand you Bear fans wanting this guy to be your starting quarterback. He was not any good in Denver, Miami, or Tampa Bay (who have a bad history of keeping Quarterbacks). So I really don't see the Bears doing anything this season. Green Bay and Detroit are off to good starts already, and I think it will be tough to catch them at this point. Well Bear fans, get ready for a bad season. Hope the Cubs don't break your hearts like in 2003 (sorry! can't let that one go)
I do not believe this guy, tried to go after an umpire. But that is what you get with a player like Milton Bradley. The umpire (Winters) here is totally to blame, and he gets suspended by MLB for the rest of the season. I find this very interesting that the umpire would provoke a player to come after him. Bradley on the other hand, may have cost his team a bat for the postseason (if they are still in it). But bradley can't seem to get his head #### on at all. That was the case in Cleveland, LA Dodgers, Oakland, Montreal (can't imagine), and now San Diego. i mean what is wrong with this guy. I for one cannot figure this guy out. He got all the talent in the world, but he is a head case. Now San Diego is really gonna miss this guy (if they go to the postseason). Won't matter because they are going to get beat anyway. i predict Colorado will get in the postseason, they deserve it more than San Diego and Arizona put together. By the way, don't arizona and colorado play each other this weekend. That should be fun!!!
Wow! Charlie what a performance, i really have to commend on that performance vs. Pittsburgh. For a second there I could have sworn that was about the worst display at the quarterback position that I have ever seen. This is how I would sum up Fyre's play! Gets pulled in the 2nd Quarter, in favor of Derek Anderson (who did no better). 2 days later gets traded to seattle, and there is a stupid and pointless poll going around about when to put Brady Quinn in. That will not happen unless they really want him to play now. You know the Browns have not have had a stable QB since Tim Couch. Ouch! Browns fans i hate to say it, but it will be a long season for you. I guess all cleveland sports fans should look forward to the Indians getting beat in the playoffs in October. Well see ya on the flip side, and keep them dogs on the sideline. ruff! ruff!
Well I am not surprised by Garner getting fired. What I am surprised at is. What took so long, he should have been gone before the all star break. But I really can't blame him in this instance. His GM (who also got fired) pulled some lopsided trades with Colorado, of all teams Colorado! I don't get this guy, they didn't even have a pick in the first 2 rounds of the draft this past June. What could Phil do about it, his hands were tied. His team didn't sign Andy Petitte or Roger Clemens (both gone to the Yankees), so he had to work with a not-so-talented roster. The Astros was just in the World Series, not too long ago. Now they are in the basement (last place) of the NL Central division. Oh, how the mighty have fallen, especially in Houston, Texas. I believe the Astros will be back one day, it just won't be any time soon. See you in the 2012 world series against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Oh, thats right they won't be there, either!
Well Billy Bean has got to be wondering what went wrong in the ALCS. His manager gets fired, and everybody has got to be wondering what happened? Ken wasn't even on the hot seat. He did what he had to do, and that was make the playoffs. I just am surprised that he gets fired after taking the Athletics to the ALCS, and the Yankees don't fired Joe Torre. Torre didn't win a playoff series, but he don't get fired. Something about this doesn't seem right? Well, they did have a great comeback in the 2nd half of the season. But it seemed like something bad was about to happen. Getting swept by Detroit was totally unexpected! Well maybe they should bring Art Howe back or something. But this is clearly a huge setback for Oakland. By the way, Oakland is not a good sports town and that just prove it. Is there anybody that wants to prove me wrong, go ahead!!!
Well as the playoffs begin to sort itself out, we know there is one team that is not going. The Chicago White Sox (thank goodness for that), are not going to make it. At this point, they have 11 games left, and it would be tough to jump over 2 teams in the standings. But the White Sox shot themselves in the foot, by not winning the games that they needed down the stretch here! Also, another team out there will not make the postseason is the Atlanta Braves. Now you know I could not leave that alone. There problem was early bullpen woes. So it cost them to make history! So they will officially be eliminated from postesason contention on Thursday . I know I will not be shedding any tears for them.Well the Dodgers are going back and forth between having the wild card or the division title. Hey LA, choose one already! Well at least the Yankees and Mets are going, because this puts a hectic on the postseason TV schedule. Which basically means a new york team every night for as long as they are in it. So that is it for me, feel free to comment Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!
