I am wondering if there is any truth to this headline. I mean Seattle is a decent sports town, unlike Atlanta. But I cannot believe that the current Supersonics owner would even consider moving his team to Oklahoma City. I mean is the situation with Key Arena and its officials really that bad. I don't get it! And David Stern (can't stand the guy) has even said that if they move the team out of Seattle. They won't get another NBA team in the future. I for one would not prevent a proven sports town its right to get another franchise, unless otherwise. I can think of several cities that can use an NBA Franchise
Montreal, Quebec
Kansas city, Missouri
Nashville, Tennessee
Birmingham, Alabama
St. Louis
Hartford, Connecticut
and lot more
But it is a shame that Seattle is going to lose there franchise. Well Sonics fans enjoy it while you can!
Most of us figured out from the very beginning that he did not intend to leave the team here like he said he would. Now I just wish he would go away, he has told the city so many untruths.
I don't quite get you when you say "Seattle is a decent sports town". I know Seattle, think Seattle is one of the great cities in America. I like the people, like the "feel" of the city. But I sure don't think their personalities nor that constant drizzle or that same "feel" of Seattle is a "sports feel". Seattle is a...what's the word I'm looking for here? Maybe two words. Sophisticated Hippies? Love the city. Sports doesn't come to mind when I hear Seattle.
