Who would be a good PROFSSIONAL WRESTLER
Mar 27, 2008 | 2:50PM | report this

in each league im going to select one person, and my reason for selecting them... kind of a stupid post, but it could be fun for any wrestling fans out there...

NFL- Terrell Owens, a perfect heel. the fans would hate him... or hate to love him. he's big, strong, quick, he talks a good game and heals quickly. so admirable traits for a would be WWE superstar. Plus he's comfortable in tights.

MLB- John Kruk- i know he's retired but give him earthquake's old ring gear and it'd be perfect. haha

NHL- Chris Simon - with the violence he brings to hockey, he might be too wild for wrestling. i mean it's just as important to not injure someone as it is to make it look like your kicking his butt... and im not sure he's capable of not hurting people. but it'd be fun.

Soccer- Zidane, he's already got a finishing move. The French Head Cracker

NBA- Shaq... screw Money Mayweather versus Big Show i wanna see Big Show Vs The Diesel Shaquille Oneal. i know he's gotten slow but he'd fun to watch and he's so damn big. No tights though please.

Nascar- Tony Stewart and or Car Edwards- Tony's got the fire and the popularity to probably actually be a draw. and car edwards back flip could be used as a finishing move i guess...

Tennis- James Blake- i dont know why but i'd love to see someone carry a tennis racket to the ring again ala jim cornetter circa 1980's

that's it just a quick one cause it was on my mind.

I would think Jeremy Shockey would be a not-as-cool-as-he-thinks-he-is heel. Like Kevin Nash.

Check out the Jim Cornette video from Dairy Queen on You Tube.

illfastgto2005- nice car by the way

i dont think there would be very many nfl players who could win in MMA, i have expereince in brazilian jujitsu and wrestled for thirteen years. Rashard Evans and i wrestled against each other over fifteen times in our high school careers. but i'd get killed by almost everysingle one of em. i doubt seriously that anymore than 3% of the NFL would have any training or expereince for MMA.

though i'd love to see someone train Anquan Boldin to fight. he's a beast... or how about Jake Long.

Well, I'd like to see Kellen Winslow II get in the ring with his "I'm a F---ing Soldier" act and get killed by Batista.

Pedro Martinez could try throwing around HHH like he did with Don Zimmer.

But I like tm85's suggestion of Ray Lewis. He could do that silly little dance of his on his way to the ring and Ed Reed could be his "manager" and come out in a pimp suit. Or maybe Chad Johnson, with the gold teeth and a gold walking cane to use as a "foreign" object. We don't see as many of foreign objects in pro wrestling as there used to be.

hey you gave me an idea moseby...

how about Tom Brady... Giselle could be his valet, and Randy Moss could be his enforcer...

set him a match with Kurt Angle and let the olympic gold medalist literally break his ankle into twelve pieces. then he could wear that lil boot he wore in NY before the super bowl.

Yeah, I like that

What about the Manning Brothers in a 20 foot steel cage match with Ron Jaworski as their manager, carrying their robes to the ring? Put them up against Roddy Piper and Ric Flair - First Blood Match.

how about Chad Johnson. He constantly is doing something to show off and no body likes him any way.

When I was 12 i thought 'wrasslin'' was cool. Then I grew up. Anybody over the age of 18 who enjoys 'wrasslin''.......... WOW! General Hospital is on every morning. Maybe you should check it out. The maid says it ain't too bad.

like im gonna believe that anyone in Nebraska has a made... j/k

hey to each there own man... im not a fan like i was when i was a kid, it's more entertainment and a good laugh usually. the traditional wrestling i dont really care for anymore but i certainly do respect and admire the things they do in the ring. it is one of the most physically challenging sports out there. now it's more entertainment then sports and shouldnt be considered a sport in the natural sense... but all the same, some of those guys are extremely athletic and accomplished.

anyhow... i thought of one more... friggin Canseco... i'd love to see someone screw up a move on this guy and land him on his size 9 head.
