I am not a Giants fan. In fact, I despise most New York teams. This isn’t because I hate the New York teams themselves; nor is it because I hate the New Yorkers or North Jersey people that call themselves fans (even when they are being obnoxious). What really makes me despise New York teams is the South Jersey people who call themselves New York fans (80-90% of which have never set foot in New York or the Meadowlands in New Jersey) and take every chance they get to try to shoot down the local Philadelphia teams. These hypocritical ####s are the worse.
I will, however, give credit where credit is due. Last night’s Super Bowl was a hard fought game in which I found myself cheering for the Giants to win. And here are three reasons why:
The Kevin Curtis watch continues against the Buffalo Bills this week.
Let’s just reinterate that this “Kevin Curtis” watch was a direct response to comments that Gary Cobb made after week 2, declaring Kevin Curtis a mistake, and stating that the Philadelphia Eagles should have re-signed Donte Stallworth.
Kevin Curtis had 7 receptions for 62 yards yesterday giving him a yearly total of 77 receptions for 1,110 yards and 6 touchdowns. Donte Stallworth, on the other hand, finished the season with 46 receptions for 697 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Kevin Curtis watch continues against the New Orleans Saints this week.
Kevin Curtis had 6 receptions fo 78 yards and 1 touchdown yesterday against a New Orleans Saints team fighting for the playoffs. That gives Kevin 70 receptions for 1,048 yards and 6 touchdowns for the season. Far better than any wide receiver on the Eagles roster – with the exception of Terrell Owens – during the Andy Reid era.
The Kevin Curtis watch continues against the Dallas Cowboys this week.
Kevin Curtis had 5 receptions for 40 yards against the Dallas Cowboys this week, while giving Donovan McNabb a clutch threat in the receiving corps. This gives Curtis a total of 64 receptions for 970 yards and 5 touchdowns for the season with two games left.
