The Philadelphia Phillies signed Geoff Jenkins and Chad Durbin to round out some roster spots.
Even with the Phillies losing Aaron Rowand, they still had a formidable outfield platoon. That outfield just got a little stronger yesterday with the signing of Geoff Jenkins to a 2 year deal.
Jenkins will compete with Jayson Werth for the starting right field position, and adds some good power to an already strong batting order. He strikes out more than you would like, but his power should be enough to offset some of the loss of Aaron Rowands bat.
