Reality Check for Seahawk fans and Coach H.
Feb 07, 2006 | 11:24AM | report this
Reality Check, It is unbelievable to me that there are Seattle fans that actually believe they won the game and equally unbelievable that a respected great coach like Mike H. would do this much whining, he started at half-time. How much confidence do you have in your team if you begin making excuses at half-time. The Seahawks had many opportunities and failed to cash them in. As far as the turn over ratio that the Henchman uses as hard evidence for his Oliver Stone conspiracy theory, look at the tapes, one of those interceptions because of its depth and quick defense, functioned as punt. The Steelers were also uncharacteristically quick-scorers on offense which altered time of posession. The holding call was Bogus, but there was a face mask (five yarder) uncalled on that play. The PI in the endzone was consistant with the season. Anytime a WR has straightened his arm out on a DB and altered his pursuit it HAS BEEN CALLED. Michael Irving who made a living assaulting DB's is hardly the source I would use to bolster an argument. The block below the waste was also Bogus, but, it has been called several times this year and on Big Ben when a QB attempts to tackle and someone stumbles over them it should not be BBWaiste. Good teams win the games they are supposed to and thats what Seattle did all year. Great teams overcome adversity (injuries/bad calls) and win SuperBowls and that is what the Pittsburgh Steelers DID
