I’m actually pumped the BCS might get the A-bomb. This is my best case scenario. Do you think the rest of the country would be with me? Let me warn you that I’m not a CF fan like Nos or Norcal, and I don’t have any evidence that this is even feasible.
National Championship
Mizzou vs. West Virginia (only my best case scenario cough cough, wheez, hack, cough, because it gives us some other much needed bowl match-ups)
Rose Bowl
USC vs. Ohio State (good old fashioned rose bowl the way it used to be, and we can settle this lovely arguement till next year)
Sugar Bowl
LSU vs. Kansas (Kansas should be recognized for their great season, this is one way to do it)
Orange Bowl
VT vs. Georgia (assuming VT wins ACC, cross your fingers)
Fiesta Bowl
Florida vs. Hawaii (A great chance for the pollsters to pray that Florida hands it to Hawaii, otherwise you know what might happen…my gut says the BCS would be too afraid to give Hawaii the chance, you might get another Boise State fiasco)
Four things have to happen to make this dream a reality...
#1 VT wins
#2 Mizzou wins
#3 LSU wins
#4 West Virginia wins
#5 Hawaii wins
Say your prayers America
A Completely Separate but Completely Equal Observation
How pathetic are these television anchors and coaches throwing the names around of the people they want to win the Heisman. I heard Tebow and Heisman in the same sentence about 400 times. He doesn't deserve it America!!!!!!! How is he any different than Brady Quinn last year?? Answer me that idiots.
The real Heisman race shapes up as follows, until next week at least...
#1 Colt Brennan (should win hands down in a legit Heisman race)
#2 Chase Daniel (Obviously)
#3 Patrick White (although he's a front runner little baby who only wants to play when they're winning)
#4 Darren McFadden (Arkansas would have won 2 games without him)
I see what you're saying. I also took into account the rankings. If the two teams lose that I say, it doesn't matter who wins the SEC all three teams will be there, don't you think?
I don't think there's much hope for Florida's chances over a one-loss Arizona State, but think they are a much better team.
Check my blog for some scary scenarios as well... you got me thinking with this one and I discovered one scenario that no one expects... I call it the worst case...

Brennan would throw as many interceptions as touchdowns in the SEC, Pac 10 and Big 12.
I totally disagree with you. I haven't really looked at the numbers carefully enough, but Tebow has tremendous fandom pushing him, especially after the broken hand was an after thought during the game. Amazing kid, but he has three losses.
I like:
1. Chase (duh)
2. Tebow
3. McFadden
Yes, I know McFadden will be great in the pros. This award isn't and never will be about who is going to be better in the pros.
ALSO - to answer the last question -
NO. Two teams only. I foresee another rule change.

Don't be too quick to annoit Colt Brennan. Sure, he is a gutsy kid with good feet, excellant field view and a great accurate arm... against WAC teams. However, since the Heisman is supposed to go to the best college football player in the country, it seems to me only appropriate that the winner must actually have played against teams (plural) that represent the upper echelons of college football. That is certainly not the WAC. No slam against exciting, high scoring football, but I don't think the overall quality of the teams, and particularly the defenses, is such that it will support the Heisman crown.
By the way; I think the Heisman thing is almost as stupid as the BCS, for the same reasons - It simply is impossible to accurately measure who is number one, and we shouldn't try. I think the only reason we engage in such foolishness is because lots of people make lots of bucks from it.
This bowl going to be be excellent. I think West Virginia will beat Missouri, I hope one of them loses this week as a Buckeye fan, but USC and OSU would be a good game. I think Kansas would beat LSU. UGA would CRUSH VT. Hawaii would probably end up playing Arizona St. I don't think Florida even deserves to be nunber 10. I completely agree about Tim Tebow, he's overrated!! I think Darren Mcfadden needs to be in the frontrunning especially after he dominated the LSU defense putting up 205 yards or maybe more I forgot. Nice Post.
I definitely appreciate the mention sporthink. And I agree that Hawaii should be given a chance just like Boise State last year. I have been a pretty harsh critic of them all year, and they have done nothing but step up to the plate every weekend. If they beat Washington, they deserve the opportunity to play in the BCS just like Boise got. As for the Heisman, I am a big Tebow supporter. They would likely be .500 without him right now. Plus he is the 1st to ever produce the 20/20 stat. If I had a vote for the Heisman, it would definitely be Tebow, followed by McFadden and Chase Daniel. I'm also pretty sure Arkansas would have won at least 4 games without McFadden. Did you see their non-conference slate? As for Colt, he put up MUCH better numbers last year. If it is numbers you like than why not mention Graham Harrell from Texas Tech? He leads in virtually every passing stat in College Football this year.
brian - ASU has 2 losses, probably a typo on your part.
I love a lot of those bowls. The title game would be very exciting and produce probably 30+ points by both teams. Everyone wants to see a game like that, similar to USC-UT's Rose.
The Sugar would be GREAT. Another game people want to see. How good is Kansas really? I think their defense would present LSU problems while offensively they can attack them.
Orange I wouldn't care about. V-Tech I don't think beats BC and I'd rather see Georgia play someone else.
You CAN'T have 3 teams from the same conference in the BCS!!!!
Arizona State would be a nice opponent for Hawaii. The curious thing is that if BC beats VT then the ACC could get 2 teams into the BCS, especially if Hawaii loses to UW. It's going to be a weird finish.
Title: #1 Missouri vs. #2 West Virginia
Rose: #3 Ohio State vs. #8 USC
Sugar: #7 LSU vs. #10 Hawaii (last pick)
Orange: #6 Virginia Tech vs. #4 Georgia (1st pick)
Fiesta: #5 Kansas vs. #11 Arizona State
Fiesta will take ASU because the game is in Glendale. I'd rather see Kansas-Hawaii in that one honestly.
Of course, OU probably beats Missouri to totally screw all of this up. That would kick either the Tigers or Jayhawks out of the BCS. An 11-1 team not in the BCS?
Sportthink! I agree with you on the Heisman choice. Colt Brennan has set new records & even broken school records in CFL History. Ty Detmer had held the most TD record for so long & a lot of great QB who are now playing in the NFL has not even got closer to that record. Everyone should think about what this young man has accomplished to be the best and he deserve the best.
