Hall of Fame predictions/performance enhancer predictions (does not include greenies):

Craig Biggio will be a Hall of Famer/not enhanced - 3000+ hits

Frank Thomas will be a Hall of Famer/not enhanced - 500+ home runs

Ichiro will not be a Hall of Famer/not enhanced - too short of a MLB career although it was the most prolific base hitting career we'll ever see

Barry Bonds will be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - obvious why he's in

Mark McGwire will not be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - one dimensional, Congress hearing sunk him

Rafael Palmeiro will not be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - see above

Tom Glavine will be a Hall of Famer/not enhanced - 300 wins

Pedro Martinez will not be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - hurt too much

Chipper Jones will not be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - hurt too much

Sammy Sosa will not be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - see McGwire and Palmeiro

John Smoltz will be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - Wins and Saves

Roger Clemens will be a Hall of Famer/enhanced - Too many wins to keep out

A lot of people seem to forget that Frank Thomas was a consistent .300 hitter up until a few years ago. I think he's a lock for the Hall of Fame. If Ichiro ends up playing 15 years, he may end up in the Hall, especially if he averages 200 hits a year. Ichiro is a hitting savant. Too bad he's going to end up in the Evil Empire aka the New York Yankees.

It'll pe interesting if Pedro pitches into his 40s...

Frank should get their with 4 more productive seasons, 600 homers...

Hmmm...Good stuff, but we shall see,,,

Itchy Rolls will be a HOF man. He's not done yet and the voters will want international players to show they're PC.

Sosa will be in. If Barry can get in, so can Sammy.

Ichiro will make the Hall of Fame, not only in Major League Baseball but also in Japan. He's the single season hits leader of all time. He's won a gold glove every year he's played. He won Rookie of the Year and MVP, in his first season. He will easily reach 3,000 hits before he retires. He hits about .330 or higher every year and steals about 40 bases per season. By the time he calls it quits, he will have incredible career statistics.

But he's not a Hall of Famer? Are you freakin' kidding me?

I also think Pedro, if healthy, in a couple more seasons will prove Hall worthy.

Of course these are only my opinions folks and based upon no evidence or research on my part. I figured if everyone can sit around and say Bonds was a user then I can make some observations that have little to no merit. On we go...

Josh Q - You don't? I figured the only way to explain someone that small throwing that hard, must have taken some unnatural substance. I mean do you think he could naturally muster up that much arm speed without them?

jon - Thanks for dropping in. If Thomas retired today he should get in. Not many agree but stick his numbers and his lack of use of steroids and I don't know how you could keep him out.

Ed - you da man! Frank will be in 5 years after he retires. If the writers are that insistent on saying roid users won't get in, then Thomas is like the only guy not on the juice to get to 500. Alhtough the hypocritical coverage of this steroid usage phenomenon could have me fooled.

I'd be surprised if Pedro makes 20 more ML starts.

sls - I just don't think Suzuki will have a long enough career to do what he has to do. The writers are very critical of his lack of production to go along with his base hits. Bonds will get in because he's one of the best players of all time. Sosa won't get in because he's one dimensional.

PF - don't get out of joint brother. Ichiro won't make it in. I know you're a Mariners fan but he is not HOF worthy. If he'd been here his whole career, then maybe. Just not gonna happen.

Well, I think you have it covered. Its too bad the year Big Mac and Sosa went round-for-round in HR's will be ever tainted, oh yah same goes for the HR record.
