Jose Can...seco you see
Jul 03, 2006 | 9:19PM | report this

HE IS BACK!!!  Not only back to playing baseball in the Independent leagues but back taking down the MLB.  Mafia Legion of Baseball.  That is right.  Jose Canseco is playing baseball and investigating the MLB.  Opening our eyes to the evil that Bud Selig is up to.  Canseco actually called the MLB "the mafia."

Crying about being blackballed and all the protection of big names and blackballing of Cubans that is still active in the Majors.

All I know is that after I read Juiced, everyone Canseco accused either got busted, mysteriously lost tons of weight, retired, got injured, or just plain dissapeared.  The man speaks the truth.

Save our National pastime Canseco.  You are our only hope.

i beg to differ on the "mafia" comment he made. if that were true, he would have been wearing concrete shoes at the bottom of the ocean a long time ago.

other than that, he sure isnt afraid to open his mouth and speak his mind (if he really has one).

Steroids have fried Jose's brain. He did not even touch the ball as a Surf Dawg last night. He got on base because he was hit by a pitch, otherwise he was whiffing at slow motion pitches.

As for being black balled, Jose was paid well while he was a player, his lack of defense, and then loss of offensive production was the reason he was cut. It is no different than Sammy Sosa who could not hit a ball in his last year with Baltimore. If you hit plus 300, any team will pick you up.

Geez, Jose Canseco went to my high school and they named the street after him. What else can we expect! LOL

There is a plethora of latin players that have been protected, obviously.

Why is Giambi still able to play without any MLB regard?

Because the league is a type of mafia, not the mafia, a mafia.

If the media translates it, it's wrong. If one person professes it, listen.

Canseco is correct in almost all he says.

giambi sold his soul to mlb so they'd let him play...otherwise he'd be selling white walls in ohio somewhere.

no, i dont think anyone believes baseball is exactly like "the mafia", because if they were, canseco would have gotten the hoffa treatment a long time ago. but still, if they were anything like "a mafia", he still would have been silenced somehow. the fact they continue to allow him to run his mouth tells me they're counting on him making a complete fool of himself....i'd have to say he's doing a pretty good job of it.

The fact is MLB is a mafia of sort. Not all mafia types "silence" critics. Look up the definition if you don't understand.

If Canseco was a babbling ####, and had not truth in what he says, then there would be no need to respond? Correct? He's just a crazy loon? But no, they respond, and a series of media outlets respond. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Some can smell it, other's need to see a house fire on the news to believe it.

If any old baseball player started rambling about hGH being on the loose, then it wouldn't be an issue. What we have is a "user" stepping forward and letting the cat out of the bag. If you haven't seen the players "disolve" in the last year then your blind.

The next question is when will MLB take down some marque players like Ortiz, Pujols, or Tejada. They won't, the government will have to.

i'm sure MLB immediately called their own press conference, and went running to the podium, desperately trying to come up with a solid statement in response to canseco's comments.

seriously, what are they going to say? "yeah, everything he's telling you is 100% true. we're a bunch of slimeballs." even if they are, they'd have to be completely stupid to say that, or not make some sort of statement about it. it's not like the media would just walk away if mlb's rebuttal was "no comment." this whole thing is a waste of time, everybody knows it. but whenever things quiet down again, whaddyaknow, there's canseco spouting off again.

i just heard he got his wish too...claiming he has his daughter for the rest of the summer, and doesnt want to drag her from hotel to hotel....i'll refrain from any jokes accusing her of being conceived in one, that's just too easy.

anyway, he signed by his own free will with 1 team, and less than a week later he wants a trade because of his custody situation? how could he not see this coming? talk about a team getting more than it dreamed for...publicity for signing mr. controversy, and trading him for actual talent..well, whoever they get cant be as old, slow, lame, dumb, and hard-headed as canseco.
