The bombshell right now by Scottie Pippen. Saying Lebron is better right now than Jordan was at that stage. Incredible statement. Selling out the dude you won 6 Ships with. Is Pipster being dead honest or does he still have a tiny Michael beef and knows how much this will bug him? I don't know maybe a little of both. But let's face it. Lebron exceeded expectations when he dusted the Wizards in the incredible fashion he did it in. I was astonished but not shocked.
NOW I AM SHOCKED!!
Three wins in a row over the Pistons. I am still in a bit of shock. And it is the complete package. A huge steal in the last few minutes forcing Big Shot Billups to foul out. Lebrons scoring from the inside, outside, half court, fastbreak. EVERYTHING.
Anyway just wondering what you all think of Lebron and if you put him over Michael. I have to agree with Pippen. At this stage Lebron is better.
just said it on that 4 letter word network some show called center sports or something like that. in a little interview. they were talking year 3 and comparing when jordan knocked off the cavs.

I would have to agree with Pippen at this stage of the careers. We just have to wait a few more years to see if Lebron keeps it up. For an article thats related to all this, check this out, its a good topic to debate.

gud stuff... tuff call who will be bron's pippen. Maybe he won't have one or maybe one might get drafted or Hughes or Flip Murray will be his sidekick. Its alil different situation to cuz Bron is the SF and Jordan was a SG... so bron needs a SG for a sidekick
I didn't hear the statement, but I imagine it wasn't meant quite as bad as it sounds.
Mainly, that LeBron plays at a very mature level...and basically got a headstart to his career over Michael. LeBron should still be learning the game in college, instead...he has quickly risen to the best player in the game.
I don't like comparisons that much...but it's hard not to when you speak of LeBron.
I also thought that the Cavs were still a player or two away from greatness. Would be nice to see him team up with a Pippen-like player.
i seen part of the interview. i tend to think he said it based more on the fact that the cavs have made it a series (and could even win) against the pistons, who are the supposed best team in the league right now. jordan was great at year 3, but couldnt get past the celtics back then, later it was the pistons. but when you look at it, who did jordan have on his team in his 3rd year? the cavs to me are much more athletic, and specialized. (donyell marshall and damon jones for 3's, gooden and variejo (sp?) for rebounding, big Z in the middle, and flip as a potential #2 scoring threat) dont forget hughes, when he's there. not saying that lebron isnt really really good, i just think that he's got more help than jordan did, which makes his game appear better.
i also dont think pippen meant anything negative towards MJ with the statement. i thought the guy pippen really didnt like in chicago was toni kukoc, AFTER jordan retired the 1st time.
Its like John Lennon saying Yoko was better at any point than Paul McCartney.
I don't know, Pippen's entitled but this is up there with the world is flat...
This statement came from Scottie Pippen? The Scottie Pippen? Scottie "I'm gonna sit on my #### with 1.8 seconds left on the clock because the ball isn't coming to me" Pippen? What an ####! Scottie was named to the NBA's 50 greatest players not because he was so great, but because of a certain guard.

cuziffer- after seeing the interview twice I thought it was clear that he was saying Lebron was better in year three. And he didn't hmm in haa about how close it was either.
Lebron was amazing again tonight in game 6. But Pistons eeked it out. Bron Bron should have cranked up a triple at the end but can't blaem him for trying to find the open man in the corner.
