The Av's are stupid. Letting Peter Forsberg (Top 10 in league) a.k.a. "Peter the Great" go. I would of payed what ever it took to keep him.  And this year he let Rob Blake (Top 5 Defensive Player in the game) go back home when he fit the Av's system perfectly.  The Av's also traded Alex Tanguay for a no name player and worthless second round pick.  I would of asked for a quality player because drafting a hockey play is a hard work unless your scouting someone with the last name of Staal. Also last year he let go of Adam Foote go when you could of kept him for a very cheap price. I should also mention the departure of Danny Hinote, an Av's Vet.

I hate to say it but I don't think the Av's are going to make the playoffs next year. The only people I can think of on the Av's that are worth mention are Sakic, Svatos, Theodore, Hejduk and a few others that are too talented. Who knows maybe they will be gone by next season as well. This kind of Reminds me of the Florida Marlins and their yard sale, but with Lots more talent.

I would Guarantee you 99.9% that if the lockout and/ or change of team cap's wouldn't of happen the Av's MIGHT have one a couple of Cups.

So Now it seems like this is the closest the Av's going to come to winning the cup, but there is always room for Hope!
