VOTERS, VOTERS, VOTERS....THE MYSTERY JUDGES ARE....It's time to VOTE! Day #2
Sep 08, 2007 | 11:41PM | report this

Hi everyone welcome to the second blogger's voting page for the:

'Why I am a Fan of my Team'  contest.

We had quite a few hits on the first page, but not alot of votes.

I realize the weekend is time for FOOTBALL, but it only takes a minute to vote.

During timeouts, commercials, between games or at halftime, it's just takes a minute.

I would like express my thanks to the 3 MYSTERY judges. They put alot of thought and read everyone's entry. Thank you

The first judge I would like to introduce is a well respected blogger in this community. His Duckworthyness is muchly appreciated. It could only be the Philadelphia Phillies biggest newspaper duck reporter....

 edhardiman! Thank you ED.

The second judge tells me he has no knowledge of baseball at all. He's never followed the game really and spends alot of his time under the hood over in the NASCAR blogs. His ride has a SILVERSTREAK and he loves NUTS, BANANAS, and BABES...It's our favorite M*O*N*K*E*Y..I mean ####...

Photogr!  Thanks Photo I know the material must have been a challenge at times.

And the third judge is into horses. Not your ordinary kind of horses. She's more into BRONCIN' BRONCOS. Like that cute NEW foal that she's  bouncing on her knee. She's not only sleep deprived but she puts up a mean blog herself... it could only mean that..

broncogirl is IN THE HOUSE. Thank you broncs I know how hard it is with little ones and you're a trooper for being a judge.

Now broncogirl HASN'T voted yet. So here's your chance to sweet talk guys.

Be careful though, from what I heard she's got a WHIP and she's not afraid to use it!

Now remember you can vote for any entry. It doesn't have to be your own.

  VOTE!

Ok, so far tophat leads but only because of the judges. He's actually has the same amount of votes as others BUT he has 2 mystery judges votes so far. The more votes we get the less those judges votes matter.

Glad I could help out. It was a challenge and an honor to be a part of the Why I am a fan contest.

Thanks again Photo for your time. I know it must have been a bit difficult to follow sometimes.

But I do believe alot of these guys made the extra effort to portray their teams in a way that made them stand out. It was tough to vote for just one.

Socrates,

First, I want to thank everyone who voted for me and for all of the kind words. I am truly flattered and humbled.

Also, I want to thank you for organizing this contest. It has been great! Congrats to everyone who participated, everyone really brought their "A" games and produced some fantastic posts.

Man, it is tough to choose just one, but I'll go with KSP's post on the Orioles, fantastic mix of history, humor, and perspective. Like I said, though, I think everyone deserves a tip of the cap for a job well done!

This is really hard , Nooch your's was great. Ksp's was awesome, broblog...josh... HOIT was excellent. Tophat's was very informative like saxman's and morisato's. Golfblogger, ian, jon, cuz, marty, all nice writes. bosox's D-rays post was very good.

I think the one's that stood out to me were 3 in particular. Ksp's, Nooch's, and Forensic2's.
All three were in deeply rooted in history, players, great photographs.

I think the one that hit me the most was the one that cried out the most. That was Forensic2's.

He captured what it meant to be long suffering through the Indian's history and through tragedy.

His timeline was filled with events and players of different eras through today. It was a well written piece that gave Cleveland a face.

It was a face I could appreciate and root for. That was what this contest represented to me.

So I vote for...Forensic2's Indians.

I voted I voted. I had to get lil bit to sleep she has an ear infection in both ears so she hasnt been sleeping and really fussy. Then it took 20 minutes to post my new angry post and vote because fox didnt want to work with me. Do I have to keep my vote a secret? They were all really good and I learned about baseball which I am not into. I enjoyed reading all of them and am happy to be a judge.

Oh Em's must be having it tough! Ear infections are not fun. She has it in both ears? Owww...and any little noise must be like torture to her. I feel very sorry for her because I know it must be painful. I'm also sorry that you have to go through it with her. Hopefully the ear drops will make her feel better and put her to sleep. I'm praying that your night is a peaceful one.

As for your vote, nope you can put it out there plain as day. Thanks again.
