I'm doing a contest based on what it means to be a fan of your team. Well it's been a little over 24 hrs since I first posted this contest. I have lined up my (3) MYSTERY judges and (1) Alternate judge.
12 of the 30 spots are gone. Not bad since we started on a Sunday afternoon which is a slow blogger day. I need a few more fans..... so I'm CALLING OUT ALL Cub/ Cardinal/ Pirate/ Phillie/ Met/ Astro/ Brave/ National/ Brewers/ Diamondback and Padre fans in the N.L.
In the A.L. I need six teams Blue Jays...The..Dan are you out there! Tigers/ Twins/ Royals/ Rangers/ and Devil Rays.
So go over to my other post and sign up. It's easy and will be alot of fun.
Rev I think the biggest problem was putting it up on a Sunday afternoon. Got a good response but come noon today the 24 hr exposure window faded. Just trying to keep it going. I know there's alot of fans out there. ShooterB is a Pirate Fan, Ultra's a Phillie. Mean's contemplating the Cubbies, Morisanto a Ranger fan, there out their they've just got to see the blog. A little bad timing, but that's okay. We'll fill it. Thanks for the hook up Rev. I'll send him a note.
Where's Ultra for the Phillies you know he brings it good or bad, there is some great history for the Pirates, the "we are family" come on Shooter where are ya? Whats up Socrates!
Vearl I already e-mail ultra to no avail as of yet. E-mail ShooterB (Pirates), The..Dan(Blue Jays), Boltsfan(Devil Rays), Morisato(Rangers).. no responses yet. That's for the socal lead, I'll try to get him aboard.
But the good NEWS is the ASTROS...GONE, taken by the wayside and Forgotten Fan's gonna show us some Stro love that's outta this world! Good Luck Forgotten.
There's aton of Tiger fans. Where they are no one knows. They got an awesome fanbase and a great history. One of the reasons I wanted to do this contest was for us to remember what the history of the game is all about. Maybe get the younger fans a little more excited about their team, and look up their past. I'll check Hoit out, thanks Ian.

Hey Josh how are you doing bro? I got a e-mail in to pumodude with no response yet. We still have 9 days to fill 16 slots. They'll be filled, though the NATIONALS will be tough.
My man Hoit, thirtyoneandsix said he would do it if there were no other takers. I asked him to firm up the commitment and he didn't. The Tigers are YOURS. Alot of great players , tradition , history. The Tigers take back seat to on one. They may not have 26 championships like the YANKS, but they still got swagger. I know you'll do detroit well. The Tigers go to Hoit! Good Luck!

Nooch you can still get in the game. Alot of fans have a favorite in both leagues. If you're passionate about baseball pick up the D-Rays, Royals, Pods. They're all good.
Guys you need to be a little more committed when picking teams. thirtyoneandsix stated in the other blog he would take the Tigers if there wasn't any other takers. I tried to tell him to grab it while he can. He didn't readdress it. Hoit came around and stated outright he would do the Tigers. He was a solid YES. That's why I awarded the Tigers to hoit. I'm trying to be fair.

bosox61, I knew you'll come around. SAWX fans love the underdawgs! The Rays may not have alot of history but they do have alot of spunk! They're young, aggressive and have a ton of talented youngsters to build upon. I know you'll do them right and being a D-Ray season ticket holder give it your best effort! RAYS off the board! We need NLer's. I would like a dozen NL entries. We need Mets, Pirates, Phillies, Braves, DBacks, Padres, Cardinals, Nationals, and Cubs....only Twins and Blue Jays in the AL left. This weekend is the last chance to get in.
You should probably make another post about it so that it'll be at the top of the baseball section and more people will see it. I saw a post by a Mets fan today named CarolynT. If you haven't contacted her about the contest she might be interested.

I'm wondering if some people read their blog mail. You can only see that you have a message if you look at your profile, and I know that I personally rarely go to my profile page. Maybe some of them don't even realize that you've sent them anything. I've seen some people on here who leave comments on blogs plugging their latest posts, so perhaps that's more effective.
