This whole attitude of some professional athletes that it is okay to carry guns is beyond belief. Stephen Jackson admits he fired his weapon into the air in order to help break up a brawl outside of a nightclub. Whoop dee do, does he deserve a medal for telling the truth? Of course he admits it because people saw him fire the weapon. What was he doing carrying a pistol into a night club in the first place? This isn’t the Texas of the 1890’s where cowboys pulled up to the saloon and fired off a few rounds after downing a few shots. Come on Stephen, if you take a gun out late at night you had better expect trouble; or is that what you were planning from the beginning, trouble? Who do you think you are? #### Cheney!
No, I am not an anti-gun liberal left-wing kind of guy. In fact, I own several weapons and we shall not discuss the length of my barrel, but suffice it to say that my weapons are only fired in the field during hunting season. The point is, unless you have a permit to carry a firearm you should leave it at home. Even with a permit, you shouldn’t carry it somewhere like a bar. If you are afraid for your life, then hire a bodyguard and let him get in trouble. Better yet, drink at home.
