One of the hot new shows on NBC this year is Heroes. In it, different characters learn about their special abilities as they try to save the world. Well, I would like to do a parody comparing certain sports figures to the Heroes of NBC. Without further adieu, I give you Sports Heroes.
NBC Hero: Nathan Petrelli, he can fly but has trouble remaining faithful to his wife.
Sports Hero: Kobe Bryant whose high flying antics include a few trips to Vale.
Fox Blogger Hero: TravisDW. Also looks like he has been flying a bit in his avatar.
NBC Hero: Hiro Nakamura, he can bend the time and space continuum.
Sports Hero: Ichiro whose swing is from the Ted Williams era.
Fox Blogger Hero: Dudski whose posts are from a different era.
NBC Hero: Claire Bennet the Cheerleader who can regenerate.
Sports Hero: Scottie Pippen, the ageless one who is trying to regenerate his career. (although you will never confuse his mugshot for that of a cheerleader)
Fox Blogger Hero: Dusty Outlaw who just never dies.
NBC Hero: Peter Petrelli, he absorbs others powers and is possibly the strongest hero of all.
Sports Hero: Steve Nash, is there anything he can’t do on the court.
Fox Blogger Hero: ShooterB who pops up when needed. His writing is powerful and versatile.
NBC Hero: D.L. Hawkins who can pass through solid objects.
Sports Hero: LaDainian Tomlinson who passes through the walls of linemen in the NFL.
Fox Blogger Hero: Demonicume who has an obstacle to overcome every day in South Carolina.
NBC Hero: Niki Sanders who has a deadly alter ego.
Sports Hero: Pacman Jones who is always causing trouble.
Fox Blogger Hero: Lisa who has a dark side. Watch as she defeats her opponents in Rev’s bracket challenge. Also, she is willing to sleep with the judges for gain much like Nike slept with Nathan to clear her debt.
NBC Hero: Matt Parkman who can read peoples’ thoughts.
Sports Hero: Peyton Manning. He knows what the other team is thinking when he calls out his audibles from the line of scrimmage. He also knows what everyone thought of him prior to this Super Bowl.
Fox Blogger Hero: MeanDovine who always knows what to say to bloggers.
NBC Hero: Isaac Mendez who can paint the future.
Sports Hero: Gilbert Arenas who seems to know when he will score 50 points weeks in advance; if only his predictions were as accurate as Mendez’s paintings.
Fox Blogger Hero: Norcal who ranks the draft better than anyone.
NBC Villain: Sylar, who is very powerful. He absorbs the powers of the other heroes.
Sports Villain: Barry Bonds who is about to surpass Hank Aaron for the new all time HR record. Is anyone more hated in sports? Also like Sylar, he absorbs his powers from other sources.
Fox Blogger Villain: You decide who the Fox Sports Villain is and post below.
wow...thanks for the kind(?) words about me. Ok, I am a lady with a dark *####* side.
On to most villianous blogger....REVERAND! He got 64 people to trash talk each other and never suggested we do that! We did it by ourselves once we saw the brackets! He draws strength (blog hits) from other sources (Blogheads)
As for your dark side, we all have a bit inside of us. I know I do, but I keep it in check until I am with the right person.
Of course I almost made you the cheerleader because I know you will survive and you are hot, but then again I figured you did not want to be stereotypically cast.

Lots of fun SOCAL. Sure to light up the boards. Like bronco girl ,I wrote a true open story about myself. Today's an anniversary of sorts with our Dad. Not a story to make you laugh, but my blog allows me to vent out, even at myself or Dad.
rivjo.....
Socalsportsfan..........
Save the cheerleader save the world. But who's gonna save us from Barry once he's broken Aaron's recoed ? We'll probably have to put up with his insufferable whining that he's not getting any respect much like Rodney Dangerfield !
Anyway I find the article to be a good one and rather comical.
Sorry about that, I've been watching too many reruns of "The Office".
Nice post. The only part that makes me cringe is seeing the words "hero" & "Pacman Jones" in the same sentence. I see the angle you took with that, but still...it's just too scary.
Unfortunately, I haven't watched this TV show yet. I may have to give it a look now to see how accurate your hero assignments were.
socal..well, I don't know any of the NBC heros..so I can't really comment on that one.
My Sports Hero would have to be Cal Ripken Jr. I think he stood and still stands for all that is right in sports. He was loyal to his team, his fans, and his family for many years. And he never disputed over money!! Can't beat that!!
Blogging Hero would have to be southerncindi...she is still blogging away, even tough she's fighting for her life!! She just posted on Dusty's blog..and it made me think about some things. She's definitely a hero in my book.
Dusty, you are a liar. I have never cursed you in my life. Go back and read my comments and print the first curse word I have ever used. You can't find it and I have called out your lies before. I refuse to comment on your blogs anymore. Good riddance.
Dusty, I am saving every correspondance you write to prove my case should I ever need too. You are a liar and I dare you to prove it. Show where I curse you. Go ahead. You can't because you are the one taking the Lord's name in vain on my blog. I have ceased to leave comments on your site. Don't threaten me because it won't work. I don't have to take your hate anymore.
Socal ...... Tell me that you and Dusty are going to bury the hatchet soon ? Because all this in fighting and backbiting ain't cool ! It's not as if you're intent on burying the thing in his head are you ? The two of you are above that kind of #### as you're both mature adults. I can sense it in the way you both convey yourselves in your writing but it doesn't seem to be coming out that way at present as he seems to be antagonizing you.
Ramp, I am over it. Dusty will have all comments deleted from my posts and I do not plan on visiting his site anymore. He will not have any comments on his site for any reason. He can never "lie" again and say I have come to his site cursing him out. When have I ever cursed anyone out Ramp?
I will have nothing to do with him unless he apologizes. As for writing anything else about him, I won't if he stops attacking me, but at present every post he puts up he slanders my good name and attacks me. He does it in a way that claims it is me, but look at his posts and look at mine. I will defend myself it needed, but I will not provoke him. If he truly is pathological, then there is nothing I can say to change his mind anyway so I am better to just ignore him.
socal,
i said this on bronco girls blog: the only way this will stop is if we stop writing about it. stop commenting on all his ridiculous blogs. like mom always says: don't encourage him. and just go about our business. growed folks business. sports business.
Hey Socal- I know you cant block one person from posting a comment. But maybe you should go and make it so the comments need to be approved by you before they are posted on your blog that way if he does post something to make your post look bad then it will never be posted. Just some friendly advice :)
Cuz, you must not hate him enough because I never see Dusty giving you a hard time.
Bronco, thanks for the advice. As for approving comments, I hate that feature. If someone takes the time to write me, I want it posted. WHen I read it, if it is offensive to me, then I will delete it.
I know its a pain but if he cant post anything then he will have to go sometime. But you make a good point I dont want to write you something then have to wait for you to approve it. You might not post it then I will be sad!!!!!

Yes Ed, i would agree. I used to think he just had a bad memory, but I have come to realize that he is either delusional or worse he is inciting this mess on purpose.
Socal .........I can honestly say that you've never cursed me and that if anyhting you've been one of the more pleasant contributors to the forum. Besides I for one feel that if you need to stoop to such lengths just proves one of two things. You're either not that well educated or that you have the complete mindset of a child if you can't use the English language withou having to revert to using profanity to get your point across. It's best used anger some people think but I feel it's best not used at all ! But there again that's just my opinion ! I've found that being able to get your point across with substantial diction is better than reverting to the language of the gutter. I've got a new post up under the tophatal guise that deals with De La Hoya's upcoming fight against Mayweather Jr. If you're interested it's entitled Bigger Than The Rumble In The Jungle Or Bigger Than Thriller In Manila ' ?
Check it out and let me know what you think ?
