NFL Game of the Day: Vikings at Bears
Oct 14, 2007 | 1:35PM | report this

What do these numbers have in common?  89, 60, 39, 67, 73, 35, 33, 81

Add 55 to end the game.

These are the distances of Touchdowns in today's game.  I followed the game on Fox GameTrax.  Thanks Fox.

         PLUS

= OFFENSE

The average Touchdown distance was 60 yards.

Hester and Peterson ran wild.  Griese likely had a poor QB rating.

Fittingly, the game ended on a long, 55 yard field goal.

sure Fox did a better job than CBS. Cant beleive they skipped the first 3 minutes of Pats/Cowboys to show us the end of 37-17 jags/texan game.

Sports - We didn't get the game here, either. We were stuck with GB/WASH.

Texas - CBS switched over @ 3:15 in North Texas. Why did they keep us on a dead game!

Hester is now officially the most exciting player in the NFL! Poor Bears ... finally put up some points and it's not enough. Don't cry Bears Fans ... it's still a long year.

The game was devastating for me as a Bears fan, but it was the most exciting game i have seen in pro football in a while, probably since last year's monday nighter with the Bears and Cardinals. On thr bright side, i got to watch the coming out party of the best running back in the NFC, possibly the NFL. Most of you probably think saying that is a bit premature, but believe me, it isnt. Everyone in the world knows that all the Vikings can do is run and he ran all over the Bears all day long. He did things that i havent seen any running back do in my lifetime. He has LT's moves, Steven Jackson's strength and Devin hester's breakaway speed and elusiveness.
The two most explosive players in the NFC were on display today and did not dissapoint. Hetser's deep bomb was unreal.

husker. Same in west texas. I for one didnt want to watch 3 chain mesurements, a trash td from a team traling 37-9, and a few kneel downs by Rosenfels, when i could have seen the Boys/Pats.
oh well. as of right now (28-24 after the refs just handed 1st and G to Moss) its a great game.

Chitown - I hope this is replayed on the NFL network this week. If it'd been a night game, it the tape would be in the HOF. Average touchdowns of 60 yards...amazing.

Texas - The Cowboys fans will start yelling "Conspiracy" soon. Dallas is getting the penalties and the Pats are getting the benefit.

I'd definitely rate Adrian Peterson as every bit as dangerous/exciting as Hester...more so, IMO.
