Silly Phillies
Aug 27, 2006 | 10:12AM | report this

This all started back in 1998 when JD Drew refused to come play in that "hellhole." The Phils drafted the mighty Pat "the bat" Burrell golden spikes winner from the U of Miami. He was legend on and off the field...more on that later. So to make sure he`d sign, the Phils took his best bud and drinking pal Jason Michaels in round 4. Add to that mix over the years Jeremy Giambi and you have a trio very interested in the MLB nightlife. Burrell`s career in Philly has been all over the place, from showing world class power like new star Ryan Howard to hitting .200 and now being a ten million dollar platoon player. C`mon Phils you clearly traded the wrong outfielder and have to eventually clean up the play pen of drinking and chasing female groupies...err fans that is Pat Burrell!  Rest assured Stand Pat Gillick won`t get it done and Charlie Manuel isn`t gonna last long.  But hey...Pat may be mediocre on the field, but he is a hall of famer chasing tail off it. If only his stories of conquests could help the Phils or get him in the hall of fame.  Don`t stop chasin em Pat!!!
