Top Ten Running Backs in the NFL
Aug 04, 2008 | 1:10PM | report this

I just got done critiquing another RBs blog and I just thought that I better put one of my own out there for people to compare, except that I'm going to rank the top ten instead of just the top five.

1. LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego Chargers): 1474 rushing yds, 15 TDs, 315 carries

2. Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings): 1341 yds, 12 TDs, 238 carries

3. Brian Westbrook (Philadelphia Eagles): 1333 yds, 7 TDs, 278 carries

4. Joseph Addai (Indianapolis Colts): 1072 yds, 12 TDs, 261 carries

5. Steven Jackson (St. ouis Rams): 1002 yds, 5 TDs, 237 carries

6. Frank Gore ( San Francisco 49ers): 1102 yds, 5 TDs, 260 carries

7. Marshawn #### (Buffalo Bills): 1115 yds, 7 TDs, 280 carries

8. Marion Barber (Dallas Cowboys): 975 yds, 10 TDs, 204 carries

9. Clinton Portis (Washington Redskins): 1262 yds, 11 TDs, 325 carries

10. Willis McGahee (Baltimore Ravens): 1207 yds, 7 TDs, 294 carries

This list isn't based solely on rushing statistics (recieving yds, rec. TDs, catches, fumbles, total yds, etc.).

Other notable running backs: Larry Johnson (Kansas City Chiefs), Ryan Grant (Green Bay Packers), Laurence Maroney (New England Patriots), Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville Jaguars), Willie Parker (Pittsburgh Steelers), and Ronnie Brown (Miami Dolphins)
