This guy said he needs to be a better role model?! Maybe he should win a few games before he talks about peoples' perception of him. Last time I checked he couldnt beat out a senior citizen for the starting job. No one cares what he does off the field if he has the same game play as Joey Harrington.
Talk about being a joke . . . Leinart has two of the best WR's in football and a top ten running back. Give Cutler that much talent or Young that much talent and see how fast they become playoff bound. There is a good reason Young was drafted before Matt Leinart.
I wonder if the Broncos' Marshall will be playing this season. Cutler called him out earlier this off season, but I guess it didnt work.
I agree with this blog 100%. All Leinart is worried about is the "star status" he gets from being in the NFL. People haven't heard that much about Tony Romo this offseason because the guy is off working on his footwork, wanting to get better. You dont see the rest of the best NFL QB's being like this guy either. How many times has anyone see Tom brady,Peyton Manning, etc in the news for stupid stuff either? The 2 biggest differences between Leinart and most of the REAL QB's in the league is the REAL ones want to be great and their greatness allows them to branch out into other areas. Leinart just wants the fame so he can get women and party it up. Leinart, from what I've seen so far isn't even an improvement over a QB like rex grossman. And at least Chicago dont have to worry about rex doing something stupid and being in the headlines for it. Some athletes can get away with more than others because of thei productivity on the field. This guy hasnt proved he deserves even that leeway. Some other player in the Cardinals lockeroom needs to pull this guy aside and tell him to straighten up or get lost. Do it before even team management does. this guy needs to realize that he hasnt proved himself good enough at professional football to warrant getting many chances after he messes up.I also think he is scared of being in a leadership role too. If anyone remembers, one of the first things this clown did after getting drafted was go out with Paris Hilton. But one could apply the same criticisms to reggie bush too.It must be a USC thing. You got two guys there that were big shots for a

Say what you will about Rex Grossman, but he has 10X more heart now than Matt Leinart will EVER have. Leinart would rather roll with wannabe Hollywood D-listers and skanks than to be a great QB. Leinart's in it for the paycheck.
Too bad Jay Cutler wasn't drafted by the Cardinals. He'd have them in the playoffs year after year.
This is just sour grapes because Kellen Clemens and Chad Pennington couldn't attract a gutter #### prostitute down in Hunt's Point in the Bronx if they were in a limo and flashing $100 dollar bills.
You same New York guys threw Eli under the bus months, wait... years before he won a Super Bowl. You all live in a self-serving "I want it now" world. By your standards, Clemens and Pennington are LONG ESTABLISHED BUSTS, so what's your point?
I'm not a Leinart backer, but jeeze give the guy a chance. You were all charging the Giants camp like an angry mob, with torches and pitchforks to hang Eli only a couple of months before you put him on a pedestal during the Super Bowl Parade. You guys up there expect instant gratification and have short attention spans. Chill... relax... exhale.
You guys? WTF? Im Jets fan! Small market and smaller talent. so chill before you talk about instant grat.
J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
BTW I hate the New York Media! Regarding Eli he is ok, but watch the film and notice how much time he has under center, I mean seriously this guy has more time than Tom Brady. I couldnt care less about Eli or the Giants. Though I am happy they won the superbowl! Cause I HATE every team in the AFC east save the Jets. k?
You obviously dont know about football to compare Clemens and Pennington to Leinart. Matt Leinart was said to be the next great things since Peyton. Pennington and Clemens, uh NO. Pennington never had an arm and he still took his team to the playoffs . . . so get it right. Clemens? Uh second round anyone. Expectations for a second round QB arent that hi my friend.
Matt Leinart dismissed Vince Young after the NT, IDK if you watched that game or not, prob not. Matt Leinart has attitude issues for someone that isnt all that. You dont hear anything about Penn and Clem cause they are practicing instead of yapping. They arent that talented but they hustle which is more than I can say for Matt.
Hey what do you know about hunts point hahahahahah!
Totally agree. Being a star is great, but first you have to be good at your profession, and not get an attitude if you arent handed the starting job when you have done nothing to earn it.
Look at Brady Quinn he has the right attitude. He was upset about not starting (which is natural) but at least he works out like crazy to earn it so that when his time comes he'll be ready unlike Leinart who complains about the media all sour faced.
Well we will soo find out if he learned his lesson when he gets his chance to start.
The funny thing is though he has been handed the starting job (AGAIN), Warner is right behind him. The Cards wont be getting rid of him anytime soon, and its funny when a 35 year old back up has leverage his employer when askin for a new contract.
I am glad people are starting to realize how overrated this dude is. I thought he was a joke when he was at USC. Hanging out with all the movie stars and whatnot. It would not surprise me if he is next one to be exposed at USC for taking money from a booster or something else. Good post, I agree with you a million percent.

Leianart is a complete a##hole and one can see it in his every demeanor. There's nothing wrong in thinking that you've got all the talent in the world. But until you put that talent on show on the field . All you'll ever be viewed is nothing more than a pompous and narcissistic a## .
Cruise in his role of Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible III .
He doesn't have the respect of his teammates and it tells you all you need to know when he's being beaten out for the starting position by an aging Kurt Warner. That's like saying that Tom Cruise has just been beaten out for a role in an upcoming action movie by none other than Richard Simmons.
Sweatin' to the Oldies as only Richard Simmons can. His next role will be as a secret agent on investigating the causes of erectile dysfunction in sexually promiscous eighty year old men.
