According to Scout.com there is a slim chance (a chance nonetheless) that LJ could be heading to Dallas. They simply do not want to give him the money he is asking for.
The Chiefs must be crazy if they think they can win without him at the helm: THEY WENT TO THE PLAYOFFS LAST SEASON BECAUSE HE WAS A CHIEF AND THEIR SAVIOR!!
LJ wants LT money and I say give it to him. Tomlinson is considered by many to be the best RB in the league, but LJ is the most used RB in the league. The Charger are a solid team without Tomlinson, yet the Chiefs would be a 3 win team without Johnson. Yes! LT is the best but LJ is more important to the Chiefs than LT is to the Chargers.
Herm is a defensive minded coach that likes pounding the ball. Who will take over if LJ goes? I love J. Jones and M. Barber but they cannot replave LJ at all. I guarantee that the Chiefs will rival last year's Raiders and Cardinals if he goes.
emerson...I'm a huge LJ fan..but not a Dallas fan. So I'm a little torn on that one. Although I would like to see him go to an NFC team...the NFC needs all the help they can get!!
My sister got her Phd in Developemental Psychology from Fordham. Her husband, ironically enough, graduated from Fordham's School of Law. It has an excellent program...and he has done very well for himself. He works for a law firm in Raleigh, NC....and my sister does research at the Research Triangle Park around the Raleigh area, and she is an Assistant Professor at Duke, which is where they both got their undergraduate degrees. I like LJ too. But I think LJ returning as a Chief is improbable. I do not know if you heard but the Chiefs are shopping him around. Initially it was just a rumor (from a credible source) about him being sent to the Cowboys. But, it is no longer a secret they are looking to send him away and doing so less incon####uously.
They just do not want to pay him, and he refuses to play for less than his demands.
I WILL PAY FOR HIS WAY TOO DALLAS AND WILL GLADLY PAY FOR JONES TOO LEAVE DALLAS THIS WOULD BE A STEAL LIKE WHEN MINNESOTA TOOK HERSCHEL AND GAVE US THE WORLD
you know it really makes me laugh how everyone thinks they know the answer. im one of them and i laugh at myself too. i dont think the chiefs will get rid of LJ. im sure they will settle on something but if they can get something good for him like a couple of first day draft picks like a 1st and 3rd at the very least then i say let him go. but do you remember when tony gonzalez was at the end of his contract and everyone thought he was gonna be traded and that he would never play for the chiefs again well look what happened. the chiefs knew he was a great player and they made it work. i think they will do the same with LJ. just my opinion though so who knows.
i dont claim to know all about football or all the current events that occur in football thats just my opinion. i get a little sick of all the #### with people who think that they know everything about whats going to happen. because i mean seriously all you have to do is stop and think.
I try to be as accurate as possible, and I only use information from reliable sources - whatever that means. I got my information from a reputable Kansas City reporter who said that the Chiefs do not like the way he is handling the situation and they think he is behaving unprofessionally. They also do not want to give him that much money in guarantees because they fear another Priest Holmes situation.
