Bama to number 10? I would like to see them beat someone first. I cannot believe that a top 25 team gets 0 rushing yards against a lesser ranked team. Therefore, Clemson is not even a top 25 team. Bama will be this years ND. Pollsters love em but they still need to prove that kind of jump.
What did you think of the MU secondary? I gotta believe, every team in the big 12 probably had the game films FedEx'd (Or UPS'd I dont play favorites with parcel carriers) in immediately. They need to tighten up the CB and FS positions.

MO needs to take care of their defense. Tnn does not need to be rated. Auburn needs to be number two. Other than that, looks like ya took care of the Big 12, that OK.
Mizzou, are you a Mizzou fan? I think you are. I don't see how you give up that many points the first week and become #1, regardless of who you play. What happens when they run across a defense. Nebraska, you'll probably win, Texas will be close, and Kansas was a one hit wonder last year, but i haven't seen there schedule. I love how they didn't schedule Okla this year. If they do get that far though, its gonna bite them in the butt b/c they'll be in the Big-12 championship. Besides maybe 7-10 teams you got about right, the rest, by week 6 you'll be wondering what you were thinking.
Mizzou will lose 3 games this year, they looked terrible. 42 points given up to Illinois?! Jesus, this is absurd. Please tell me, how did Florida State earn a 19th ranking when they haven't played, and last year they sucked more than Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton combined...thats alot. KANSAS #6 ARE YOU DRUNK? I need to get like you after wasting my time on this...
Last year I had South Florida in my Top 10, then guess what... They were later ranked #2.
The Big 12 has two divisions: North and South. The North division and South division each have three "historical" opponents that they play every year and three others they rotate every two years.
The Big 12 also has a Championship game, so just because this year Oklahoma is not on the regular season schedule doesn't mean we won't play them.
Last year Texas got skipped, this year we head to Austin. Get it?
Also, you out of conferencers... Mizzou has speed not matched by many in the country.
In fact, there are very few teams that can match them. Oklahoma, USC, LSU, Florida. Maybe a couple more from the SEC. That's it.
SRMgenuis, MO is going to lose two, I don't know where you get the third, most likley just one, I have a little bit of wishful thinking that is clouding my judgement. But if I was Florida, I quit worrying about everyone else and take care of business, Auburn is the SEC Power Team for 2008 and most likley will be playing for the National Championship, Florida is going to be playing against Texas in the Cotton Bowl. revbrianblack, I kind of like your chatter, but be careful about Nebraska, they just might reach up and bite your tail. Nebraska started seven guys on defense that never played before, by time we get to you they will have some experence. Nebraska Offense is every bit as good as MO. Joe finished 2nd in the Big 12 and eight in the Country, ahead of Chase I might add.
On Auburn, not so fast. We get this talk out of the SEC every year about how fast or how physical Auburn is and every year they prove they are not the contenders they should be given the talent level.
Don't get me wrong they are stronger this year than they were last year.
That said, they will lose three games this year before going bowling. Oct. 23 at West Virginia and Nov. 29th at Alabama. The other loss will either be LSU or Georgia. So maybe they lose four.
I don't know which schedules ya'll are looking at, but this is one of the easiest schedules for Mizzou in many years. (Well as easy as Big 12 schedules can be.) The only game I am truly worried about is Nov. 15 at Iowa State. We have won games there before that officials literally GAVE away to Iowa State. (which has happened a lot to Mizzou... ie: Nebraska and Colorado) It is also the last game before we head to Arrowhead Stadium for our second regular season bowl game... vs. Kansas.
I foresee both teams having BCS bids riding on the game. Kansas was no fluke last year. Mark my words.
The first game you should be worried about is at Nebraska, I know, everyone has lost respect for Nebraska, but I'm telling ya, don't look past them. I like MO chances of winning the big 12, but at the moment I'm questioning their defense. Chase is great, but ya don't win big games with Offense. I wish ya luck, be talking to ya in the future.....
Sorry, think I still think some folks may be a little to close to campus for an objective view on an unproven squad. Sure they are great, but will they over look someone again this year???
Maybe that's why I think Florida is THE team to beat this year come BCS time.
You and Nost need to get off of this Florida kick, I wish we were all in the same area, I bet ya that Auburn win SEC. You and Nost just don't get it, you win big games with DEFENSE, that is what is going to keep Texas Tech from winning the Big 12. USC, Ohio State, are two teams that have great defense and good offenses, that make for great teams. Auburn has a Great Defense, Offense is good and getting better. Nebraska won a National Championship with great defense and a good solid offense. LSU won last year with great defense. So think about that when you are rooting for your beloved Tigers....................
I have been blogging here for so long, I forgot my old password and had to set up a new blog this year. BOO!
Anyway, my old space was at community.fox sports.com/bl ogs/brianblac k in case you think you've heard the trash talk before... It's the same this year as it was last year... Mizzou is #1!!!!!!! Go Cowboys! Go Rays!
