Everyone said I was on crack for picking the Eagles to win the Super Bowl in an earlier post, but I'm going to stick to that. I'm now going to do some more predictions.
MVP- Brian Westbrook...2,200 yards from scrimmage
Defensive Player of the Year- Mario Williams... 15 sacks
Defensive Rookie of the Year- Chris Long... 10 sacks
Offensive Rookie of the Year- Darren McFadden... 1,300 rushing yards
Best Players at skill positions
QB
1st. Tom Brady... who cares I hate him
2nd. Donovan McNabb... 28 passing TDs and 6 rushing
3rd. Peyton Manning... 30ish passing TDs
RB
1st. Brian Westbrook... already told you
2nd. LT... 20 total TDs
3rd. Steven Jackson... 2,000 yards from scrimmage
WR
1st. Braylon Edwards... around 15 TDs
2nd. Randy Moss... he admits he's ####... just kidding... that would be funny though
redsox...Gator blood but no favorite florida NFL team? Shame on you man...but you're a Gator so I got nothing but love for you.
Now, I'd like to agree with you on your Eagles prediction, but without a number one receiver...no a chance. Westbrook does EVERYTHING for Philly, run the ball, catch the ball, throw the ball, paint the lines on the field, sell the hotdogs, scalp the tickets! He needs help badly...and McNabb knows it that's why he was so frustrated when the Eagles didn't pull the trigger on a free agent WR.
Do you remember the last time the Jaguars played the Eagles? In Philly, score was 13-6. I remember vividly because I have a good soldier friend who's an Eagle fan. Shut the offense down...you know why? The entire offense runs through Westbrook, shut him down, you shutdown the Eagles. The Jags kept a LB on him every play, like a box in one defense in basketball....nothing for the Eagles that day. It was 2006...our season sucked but we knew how to beat the Eagles, and I'm sure other teams know too.
The only time the Eagles were a legitimate threat was when they had a legitimate #1 receiver. We both know Lurie will NEVER pay #1 money to a receiver again. He's just too tight with the cash. Eagles are one dimensional. Shut down Westbrook, Eagles lose. You are delusional if you think the Eagles will explode into the Patriots, with McGlass tossing 28 TD's.
The game plan against the Eagles is simple - force McBreakie to pass. It's a thin, understaffed receiving corp.
have to see how the Eagles receiving core plays before I would give Mcnabb those numbers. I also think that if the left tackle situation improves with Houston, a healthy Schaub has shown an ability to find Johnson with regularity in the endzone. Matt keeps his back clean, no telling how many.
Hmm... Favorite teams being the Eagles and Texans exlains why you have McNabb (?) up there, aas wella s Westbrook? Andre Johnson, okay, I'll take that one, but there is no way that McNabb has a better year than Manning, or Manning, or Roethlisberger, or Anderson, or Brees, or even Hasselbeck.
Westbrook better than LT? Now, that's funny. Steven Jackson 2,000 yards?! What?!
Braylon Edwards 15 TDs? Maybe, but doubtful.
HAH! You put Edwards above Randy! HAHA!
You also have Andre being better than Hines Ward, Plaxico Burress, and Wes Welker? HA.
Greenspire, Johnson can be better than those guys IF, and that is a big IF, they keep the
qb on his feet. There is no way Westbrook is better than LT. LT is special, pro bably already hall of fame bound.
OK everyone... I honestly believe that this is the Eagles year... and no i don't say that every year. The last time I was willing to bet money on the Eagles to win it all... they well lost to the Patriots by 3 in the Super Bowl. And I believe that McNabb will flourish this season... the last year he was healthy he had 31 passing TDs. Before he tore his ACL in 2006 there was MVP talk going around. And the Eagles offense did improve... despite not getting that #1 superstar wide out. LJ Smith is returning healthy which gives Donovan a redzone target. They added DeSean Jackson who could give McNabb a couple(not a ton) of easy touchdown by breaking one big. They also added Lorenzo Booker to get catches and run the ball, in various formations. Their receiving core is not bad. People forget that Kevin Curtis had 1100 yards last year, and this time last year Reggie Brown was supposed to be the next big time receiver... maybe he's just a year late.
Andre Johnson had a huge year last year despite playing in only nine games. He had 60 receptions, 851 yards, and 8 TDs. That prorates to 107, 1512, and 14. He's in his prime and ready to break out.
Just because Steven Jackson was injured often last year doesn't mean that he can't play to his talent level...especially if Bulger and Holt open things up for the running game.
Did I leave anything unanswered?

REGGIE WAYNE, led the league in yards last year, will do it again, i know jacksons good, but id be really surprised if the rams offense can help him out enough to have those numbers
There was talk of McNabb being league MVP in 2006 before his injury?? Where? In Philly?
Eagles were 5-5 in games McNabb started in '06. It was after the injury that Jeff Garcia went 5-1 as a starter to put the Eagles in the playoffs.
Kevin Curtis is a #2 receiver in the #1 spot. Nothing more. That's why he has #2 stats. In 5 years he's never pulled in more than 6 TD's in a single season. Last season he had six TD's, with ZERO against NFC East teams, his own division. LOL.
And don't mention Reggie Brown. He had 4 TD's after starting 16 games last season. Collectively your two receiving "threats" have 2 TD catches in division games for '07. TWO. That won't get the Eagles in the playoffs, yet you paint the Eagles as the NFC's Super Bowl representative for 2008?
for midnight man... the first thing is yeah Curtis and Reggie arent number one recievers... but Westbrook is ten times better than any number one reciever... the eagles run west coast offense... that relies very little on recievers catching TD's... relies more on TE... which LJ is not a great blocking TE but he is a great recieving TE.... the eagles have a chance to make the playoffs... as does every team with a couple of exceptions in the NFC East... little twists can cause one team a playoff spot in that division... to the guy who put both the Mannings and Rothlesburger(Know im spelling that wrong) above McNabb, you got one out of three there.... Peyton will end up above McNabb.... but the other manning and Ben... ugh both of them are... and i totally right when i say this ... terrible... Eli got lucky because his team was hot... dont get me wrong... i wanted him to win the superbowl... but thats cause i hate the pats... he was TERRIBLE in teh regular season... terrible completion percentage... terrible... he sucks as a QB.... overrated because of his brother... he just got lucky and his team got hot at the right time... Then there is Ben... WOOOOWWWWW... no fricken way... he is even worse... bigger overrated QB in the NFL... he has such a great defense and his offense is a run based offense... looked what happened this year in the playoffs against the Jags.... they chewed him up because the steelers couldnt run... they had to pass the ball continiously and he couldnt do it... he is so dependent on the D and the run game... the best QBs are teh ones who have to play witho
WOW! I agree with your Westbrook predictions, but all the others are wrong wrong wrong!!! Braylon will not be the number one receiver of '08, Randy, Marvin, or MAYBE T.O....Maybe (if he doesn't drop every other ball). Defensive rookie of the year will be Keith Rivers, because linebackers get much more recognition than defensive ends. McNabb 28 TDs? No. BILLS TO THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR!!!!
Darren McFadden All the Way Baby . Chargers stink , niners stink even more and and last but not least the Patriots are Cheetin basterds and they are deffintly not going anywhere because Randy Is going to get hurt when they Lose to Oakland 60-0 this year.

Does bonacho mean I hate, therefore I make statements that aren't based on fact?
Ben Roethlisberger is "the most overrated quarterback in the NFL" lol The only TWO QB's to throw more TD's than Ben this year were Brady and Romo THAT IS IT. He threw 32 TD's and 11 INT's.Ben had the second highest QB rating also. Lets see.....did you happen to see the offensive line Ben worked behind this year?lol He was sacked the second most in the NFL and HE STILL put up those numbers.
Saying Ben is the most overrated QB in the league just doesn't make sense. Ben is dependent on the O-lINE just like any QB. Ask Tom Brady what went wrong in the Superbowl. I would ask myself what the difference is between a personal dislike for a player and his ACTUAL value or I should say..FACTUAL VALUE.
Wow! I wonder if you're an Eagles fan. Watch out for Marques Colston. He should have made the Pro Bowl last year. He will this year. He never stops working hard. He'll be even better.
