I know that the draft has taken place yet but I'm going to predict each division winner and wild card team, plus the championship games and Super Bowl.
NFC
East- Philadelphia Eagles(12-4)- When Donovan McNabb is healthy the Eagles can compete for a Super Bowl. The last time he was... they did.
North- Green Bay Packers(11-5)- I don't care that Brett is gone because Aaron Rodgers is GOOD.
South- New Orleans Saints(11-5)- They had a let down last year after being one game from the Super Bowl... it won't happen again.
West-Seattle Seahawks(10-6)- How many straight times have they won this?
Wild Card- Cowboys(11-5) and Giants(10-6)
Close but no cigar- Redskins, Buccaneers, Rams
NFC CHAMPIONSHIP- Eagles vs Saints
AFC
East- Patriots(13-3)- No explanation needed.
North- Cleveland Browns(11-5)- First surprise as the Browns take down the Steelers. I like their offseason additions.
South- Jacksonville Jaguars(12-4)- The toughest division in football lands in the hands of the team with the best run game in the NFL. They win some crazy tiebreaker over the also 12-4 Colts.
West- San Diego Chargers(12-4)- The rest of the division is trash and the Chargers aren't. That Simple.
Wild Card- Colts(12-4) and Steelers(10-6)
Close but no cigar- Texans, Titans, Broncos
AFC Championship- Jaguars vs Chargers
SUPER BOWL
Eagles vs Chargers
Winner- Eagles
Super Bowl MVP- Donovan McNabb
This pick might be slightly biased but nothing else in this is.
Man redsoxrawesome, you are really stepping out on a thin limb!
I expect the Eagles to be better this next season, but the Super Bowl Champion? I guess I would have said the same thing last year at this time about the Giants...
That's the great thing about the NFL, from one year to the next anyone has a chance!
While I think the Eagles will be better, I don't see them in the Super Bowl. McNabb's knee should be fully healed. I don't think any team in the NFC will go 12-4. If they do, they'll get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I do agree with the Seahawks' record of 10-6. Green Bay will take a small step back and go 10-6 as well. In fact, 11-5 will get home field advantage.
I put no explanation needed for the Patriots because I know for a fact they are better then the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins. And they still have Tom Brady and Randy Moss.
LOL....dreaming man. I'm sorry, but you're 0-4 on your NFC picks. Eagles will struggle to stay out of the cellar in the competitive NFC East. You say they're a Super Bowl contender with a healthy McNabb. Ok...not true to start with, but even if it was...him getting injured is just inevitable. It's time to start thinking about life with Kolb. Packers? Eh...Rodgers is good, but I see a definite drop back to earth for them. Look for the upstart Vikings to take that division. Saints? They might be better. Maybe. The running game just won't be there. I said before Reggie got drafted he'd be a mediocre pro and I stand by that. The South is a weak division, and of your four division winners, the Saints are probably the best. But I still think they're short of winning it. Seahawks...sure they're the de facto pick. But that offense isn't getting any younger and the Cardinals are closing the gap.
I think it wouldn't hurt to wait until the NFL draft to write this article. Look at last year where the Giants drafted many key players to their title run in the draft. Things could look a lot different by the end of the month.
That said, I can't see the Eagles getting to the Super Bowl. You are basing the prediction on McNabb staying healthy. He didn't do that in 05, 06, or 07. Why will he in 08? Still, I would like to see how the Eagles do in the draft before I discount them or any other team.
Slightly biast? I'll say, that is if you're an Eagles fan. I don't think that their one pick-up this off-season is good enough to get them back to the big game. They also lost Takeo Spikes and Jevon Kearse, which make their chances slimmer.
As of right now, I say Super Bowl 43 will feature:
New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks
As of right now!
BTW- Who are New England's 3 losses? they have the easiest schedule (by strength) and I see only 1 possible loss: Colts. Who do you think?
Oh My God!! I can't believe you're picking against my Steelers! That's so ridiculous!
Just Kidding. Seriously, though, I think it's way to early to be making NFL predictions right now. We haven't even seen the draft yet, let alone training camp. Your predictions might be spot on. But, that's a very slim possibility at this point.
Best running game in the NFL is the Jags? They are one the best. But their points allowed and yards allowed does not compare to the Colts. Indy was 1st and 3rd in those respective areas. I just don't see the Jags winning the division. However, they will come in a close 2nd for sure.
You must be on crack!!! The Eagles wont even win 8 games. The top of the NFC will be the Cowboys followed by the Vikes. AFC is an easy pick with the Pats followed by the Steelies. I am going to say the Colts are a bust this year and the big turn around team will be the Radiers. The Browns will compete but there still not ready. Sorry all you Giants fans last year was a fluke and will nevere happen again. Giants 8-8. The #### Lions will win as many as the Eagles!!!!!

I don't think the Packers will go 11-5. I think the Bears will be better and they did sweep the Pack last year. Aaron Rodgers is a good qb but w/o Favre's presence there's a good chance he could struggle. I say they go either 8-8 at the worst, a more probable record would be 9-7.
Being a huge eagles fan, I can see them going 12-4 if they get a #1 receiver. I like all other aspects of the defense, and yes McNabb is complete Super Bowl Caliber when healthy. If the O-Line can give him some time to get a pass out, and if they continue to balance with the run, the Eagles can be unstoppable. Heck they beat the Cowboys with their team last year!
Darn dude, what are you smokin'. Philly is done, this will finally be Dallas' year eventhough I hate em. Minnesota finally gets over the hump this year with Favre out of the picture the wheels come off in G.B. Tampa is done look for a tight race between Carolina and New Orleans with them splitting and the Saints winning the division with more conference wins. Seattle is still the team to beat in the N.F.C. West, but look for a challenge from AZ. In the A.F.C. the Pats are still the best and don't look for that to change much until Tom Brady retires or gets injured as much as I hate em. Pittsburghs days are numbered and all of the sudden they are playing in the toughest division in the A.F.C. and I never thought I would say that. Look for Cleveland to challenge or win the title outright. Indy is gonna win the South until Peyton retires or goes somewhere else so forget about it. I hate the Chargers, and what was for years the toughest division in football is all the sudden a laugher and no one is even in sight as they run away with the division, although look for the Raiders to start approaching the 500 mark. The wildcards will be J-Ville and the 2nd place team out of the North-Cleveland or Pittsburgh. In the N.F.C. It will be the Panthers or Saints whoever comes in 2nd and the Skins. Look for the Giants to fall off the map. Look for J-Ville and New England in the A.F.C. title game and Dallas and New Orleans in in the N.F.C. with Dallas handing New England there 2nd straight loss in the Bowl
For Dallas' sake it better be their year, they are not getting any younger on offense, and we all know how poorly Romo plays without T.O. to draw a double coverage.
The Vikes have to many holes to win the division, and don't forget the Packers have a very young core group of players. Rodgers was also a potential first overall pick.
My Picks:
AFC: Colts over Pittsburg
NFC: Seattle over Philly or GB
Colts have no glaring weakness on their roster, and Seattle has tons of playoff expierence and is a very underrated team lacking only a TE and DT.
As any predictions can be accurate or completely off the wall, I suggest you think before you type.
AFC,
East: Pats, lose round 1 bad
West: Chargers, advance depending on health
South: Jags, lose round 1 close
North: Browns, young rising team(sorry steelers)
wild cards: Titans, Colts(Titans can beat anyone in the AFC if they show up)
Don't care about the NFC enough to predict.
All I can say is Patriots will lose in the first round with their cheating geriatric squad, Browns will play in the AFC championship IF they get homefield throughout, Chargers go to the big dance IF their stars are healthy, and Titans will be the BIG SUPRISE if they play turnover free ball.
Why is everyone pickign against the Steelers to even make the post-season at all? I'm talking about these commenters.
My predictions:
AFC:
N: Pittsburgh (It DOES have an "h")
S: Indy
E: Pats
W: Chargers
WC: Jags and Browns
NFC:
N: Packers
S: Saints
E: Cowboys
W: Seahawks
WC: Giants and Cardinals/Vikings/Eagles
That last one's a tough call. I'll go with the ARIZONA CARDINALS.
Redsox....good predictions (except for the eagles). Unless they pick up a top receiver, westbrook can't carry the load himself AGAIN for an entire season. I may as well be biased too.
Cowboys vs Vikings NFC title game
Jaguars vs Chargers AFC title game
Cowboys vs Jaguars superbowl
Jaguars win their first superbowl in franchise history...wishful thinking!
The only way the eagles make the superbowl is if the trade ronors are true and they some how bagg chad johnson, along with kevin curtis, and west brook massive wepons, but they still are not the best team coming out of that division. All will be beter, the boys skins and expesially the Superbowl champs. I think the pack takes a step back the vikes are very dominate and David Booty will end up satrting and leading them to the divison title. reggie bush has to run tuff between the tackles to get any credit to help the saints topple the bucs. and Seahawks only comp may be the Cardnals if they can stick to one QB. Predics: Nfc east: Cowboys (11-5) West: Seahawks (9-7), South: Bucs (9-7), North Panthers(9-7) WC. Giants (10-6), cards (9-7)
Nfc East Cowboys Redskins Giants Eagles. Nfc south Tampabay Bucs Falcons Saints Panthers Nfc west Rams Seahawks cards niners nfc north Vikings Bears Lions Packers afc east New England Bills dolphins Jets Afc central Steelers Ravens Browns Bengels afc south colts texans jags titians and Chargers radiers denver chiefs . playoffs winners nfc Champions Tampabay afc Chargers Super Bowl Flip A quater lol its way to early to be talking playoffs
Dmitch, theyve been saying that about the seahawks for the last 5 years. seriously when is the media going to grow up and just accept the fact that under holmgren the seahawks will consistently been a better than average team and that the cardinals will never EVER be a good team. They have a losing attitude out there. Theyre always the hot pick b/c they have alot of young talent. You know what they dont have? A defense.
You see that white truck with the siren blaring, comin down the street its the good humor guys comin to take you away after they wrap you up in the long sleeved tux :))
The Eagles are in probably the toughest division in football. Finishing with a winning record, and having McNabb be upright all season, should be their more realistic goals.
I expect the Seahawks to be in the Super Bowl as well. I think you were right on with the Jags and Bolts though.
dude this is the worst prediction i have ever seen. Green Bay!? HA Aaron Rogers wont do anything and they know it in Green Bay. The Vikings will win that division hands down. And as far as the Eagles pick, i wont even comment on that.
