The Detroit Pistons must do this!
Jun 16, 2008 | 6:13PM | report this
I already made a post about the Pistons offseason but I have a new revised one. Joe Dumars said he's not afraid to move players for the right value. So the Pistons trade Billups to the Nuggets for Anthony. Then Rasheed and Hamilton for Tracey McGrady and there 1st rounder. then sign Arenas as a free agent and if you can Okafor.

then your starting lineup is
Arenas
McGrady
Carmelo
Prince
Okafor

Then off the bench Stuckey

I respectfully submit the following answer to your trade:
No
I don’t think the economics of this trade will work due to cap issues. Additionally, while the Nuggets may want to move Melo, they wont do it for another guard who likes shooting a lot. While T-Mac is a talent, he cant escape the first round. He plays marginal defense and placing him with another shoot first guard in Arenas is not the answer. Okafor at center? And whom do you give up for him? I also think that lineup doesn’t work since Prince and Melo play the same position. Besides, if Joe D really wanted Melo, he would have drafted him instead of Darko.
But don’t let me wake you.

I think T-Mac needs a better team to get out of the first round. The Rockets have T-Mac and Yao Ming when Yao was hurt the whole team was T-Mac put him with those guys and you got the big 5 CHAMPIONSHIP!

I might not know the dude who wrote this but, i have a answer for him as well...Hell-to-tha-nawl!!! I mean don't get me wrong rasheed and rip are a good deal for houston but, why trade Mcgrady...yea we havent made it out the first round with him but, why trade him off just like that after a magnificent season...that line-up would neva happen though. Too many stars not enough balls.

That line-up should give up about 102 points per game.

I think the only move they need to make is RASHEED. He is a hell-of-a talent, but also a head-case. He will NEVER learn to shut-up and play ball. They will be right there next year too, but they can't have players quit during the game. But I do question the head coaching desision. They have played more basketball the last six years than any other team. Tayshaun needs to bulk-up some too.
