IT'S TIME TO BE A THINKING AGAIN

I hear on the news that Stewart has made a pubic announcement he is buying into Haas Racing. I certainly hope he really checks out the accounting records on that team. Seems to me there were other teams just ripe for a major take over at a fraction of the cost of Haas racing. Kinda reminds me of A.J. Foyt when he started his own INDY car team. Nothing but disappointments for Foyt.

I hear DEI is trying to get investors to buy into their racing operation.  NO wait they are wanting to sell. No they are courting investors. Quite frankly who in their right mind would want an operation that has a warehouse  full of bagged sugar.

The ante has been upped with silliness this season.  Mark Martin the ever prepetual retiree is comming back to race 2 full time seasons with HMS. Just in case he might win a championship with HMS power. Well the odds of that happening is as great as Mikey Waltrip winning a race doing 55 MPH. Where are the beer cans comming from?

Brad K. and Joey L. are the latest hot NW drivers but where do they fit in on the silly season as far as getting a CUP ride next year?

UMM. Let me see. Stewart has 2 cars open for drivers if he stays out of one of the cars. At his age, it is time to pull a Rick Hendrick and run the team. I see success in that set up but failure other wise. OK. Quit throwing the beer cans!

Kyle Busch.  This year he is the golden boy of NASCAR. Next year watch out for Joey L. and Brad K. or any other hot young gun comming up from the NW ranks. Sorry Kyle, your days are numbered. NASCAR has announced you have to race with  a V6 engine to equalize the HP ratings. What. No Beer cans? Do I hear cheers?

Dale Jr. Boy is sheep dip going to hit the fan on this one. HMS has given Jr. the best set ups and the fastest cars the first half of the season. Sadly he has not won many races but has finished in the top 5 a few times. Sadly Jeff and Jimmie is about fed up with the favoritism and are demanding the better cars the rest of the season. They also want him to play like he was a team member and help them try to win rather than hang them out to dry. Ouch! The beer cans are flying now.

Thats enough for now. Ya'all come back now ya heah!

Geese are you ok, photo? I'd imagine those beer cans had to hurt... lol.

And Mikey ALMOST won going 55 a few weeks ago, maybe he'll get lucky and the field will wreck and he'll be the only one left LOL.

Tony Stewart will not win another championship as a car owner. Kyle Busch will want to leave JGR when Logano takes over as the star.
Good article. Will there be beer cans thrown at Logano?...

Ahhh Photo, you're probably more right than you are wrong. Keep your helmet on, those beer cans hurt. Try to catch some though, if they're dumb enough to throw em full, you might as well have yourself a cold one on them!!!

Oh Photo, you and that accent! =)

Last I heard, Tony put no money down for HAAS, just gave them rights to his name. I am not sure I would want to buy a biz where the owner is in jail...I agree, Tony wont win a championship in his own car, I dont think anyone could there is just too much biz nowadays to interfere with the racing.

One more thing, no way is Jr getting the best equipment, his cars are not housed with JJ and JG, they are with Casey and the 88 and 5 teams work together closer than with the 24 and 48. I just dont see it. BUT I wont throw any beer cans at you!

It ought to be business as usual unless you happen to find out that the accountant was an employee of Arthur Andersen & Co. You know the guys who steadfastly implied that Enron was still a healthy company even though it was hemorrhaging more blood than could be seen on the battlefields of Fallujah and Baghdad combined.

I can only assume that Smoke had one of his guys look over the books of Haas Racing before coming to a decision ? Dale's doing his best to be a team player but it's hard to do that when Jeff and Jimmie just want to go home to their wives. And all Dale wants to do is to hit every strip joint on the NASCAR circuit to have a good time.

See my latest post and let me know what you think as to the merits of the piece ? I think that you'll find the content very interesting. I'll provide a direct link to each of the pieces in question and just click on the link(site) to view each piece in its entirety.

If they run V6's, can they take the plates off at Dega and Daytona, photoman?

Dale Sr. must be throwing up in his grave right now.

Ah my deah Klvaus. Had Ida knowed your perchant with accents, I would a done it sooner dahlin. Nothin like a cool glass of mint juleps to quench youra thirst as we say heah in the South. LOL.

Tony and putting money into Haas Racing. Well I certainly hope he didn't if any. I hope he knows what he is getting into.

Dale Jr. certainly has talent to drive junk and finish well as evidenced with DEI. If that is a fact, then why aren't Jeffy and Jimmie doing any better? Seems Dale Jr. has been the flag carrier for HMS lately in the showings.

That is a fact. Right now I would think NASCAR and the teams are desperate for any kind of sponsor. Hey even Obama was approached to sponsor a car. Talk about beer cans being thrown.

Victoria Secret might even get in on the action from what I hear if NASCAR allows a female to race in CUP.

I really don't know if it is dumb or not. Using paper cups just don't give the same effect. Something to do with aero dynamics.

Midnight:

Kyle could kick butt in a go kart. Ya know. I purposely mentioned a V6 engine. It might possibly be the new generation racing engine in the future.

Back in the late 80s, there was a company that built a Pro Stock drag car using the Buick V6 engine in a Buick Grand National body with twin turbos. Can't remember their name though. It was faster ( 10 MPH) than the conventional 500 C.I. big blocks that NHRA mandated. Sadly NHRA failed to sanction it. Some of the older drag fans might remember that.

Would be nice if NASCAR would allow development on that power plant. Always felt it had tremendous potential to deliver more HP than the V8s. I can remember the street stock Buick Grand Nationals would pull down 11.99 to 12.99s in the quarter back then with a little tweaking.

Gosh I missed this blog yesterday, but I see you are busy doing the thinking for us.

While I love the "idea" that Mark Martin will have a better shot at winning a championship with HMS the next two years...he will have his work cut out for him against all the young guns.

But...I am sorry to say that it just may be a tie concerning whether Waltrip wins another race first, or Martin a championship.

No photogr you know that Stewart is not going to stay out of that car. He is not even 40 yet. He still has at least another 20 good years. (J/K)

Besides Stewart would be far more successful if he stays in the car and let others make all the decisions concerning the business and the cars. Just set up the cars and let him drive.

And I was wondering too how long Gordon and Johnson were going to sit quietly back and allow Jr. to dominate. Guess you gave us our answer.
