I'M A THINKING AGAIN
May 06, 2008 | 8:03PM | report this

I'M A THINKING AGAIN AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.

There has been over 100,000 blogs since Saturday night over the Dale Jr / Kyle Bush incident. Enough said? OK! Enough is not said yet. Let them both get in a 2 car race for ten laps  with no rules, no penalties, and anything goes. Put it on national T.V. Talk about excitement. Whoa Nellie. Nascar's ratings would go up 10,000 points. Dale Jr. thinks it is a good idea.

Of course we all know Boyer had that race handed to him on a sliver platter. Seriously though. Boyer has used this tactic most of the last two years. Stay up close to the front and hope for the front runners to have problems.  Well three of them did and this tactic finally paid off.

Who was that no name driver in the N.W. Dega race that pulled onto the track going 80 MPH when about 30 cars were comming around the corner doing 200 MPH. Then he has the ordacity to first say he wasn't the reason for the "Big One".Hello ! Any body home? I though you had to be a professional race car driver to run in N.W. or at least intelligent.

There is still talk about Tony Stewart leaving JGR. Only if he retires and marries a Celestial Virgin from Venus. AH. Grid gals in NASCAR?

I hear Jamie Mc Murray is looking for greener pastures  as the Cat in the Hat cuts down to 4 teams. I have heard Greg Biffel is too.  Wonder if they know something we don't?

On to my favorite driver for jabs. Mikey Waltrip. did you finally see he had some anger and acted like a race car driver last Saturday even though he was a few laps down?

The Monday night ringer on Track Side ( Speed Channel) was Chad Knaus asking Mikey if he would be a better driver if he stopped looking around at everything going on during the race. I am thinking Chad might be onto something there.

Well I am all thinked out.

Jeff Burton, Matt Kenseth, Casey Mears, those are my favorites. Can you think about them a little please? LOL Great work by you and I enjoyed it. Don't hurt yourself thinking too much.

Always thinkin' eh Photo?! I personally liked JJ's quote from the racecar about Mikey trying to kill Mears...

I am thinkin' NASCAR *loves* this new drama between Kyle and Jr and will milk it for all its worth.

I am also thinkin' Hamlin seems awfully upset about the events on Sat night, more proof the drivers really are affected by the fans reactions.

Finally, I am thinkin' NASCAR and its fans are more in need of shrinks than ever before! LOL

Good that you are thinking. That wears me out right now.

NASCAR milking the cash cow ( Dale Jr. and Kyle incident). That is precisely the reason I suggested the 10 lap duke it out race with National TV coverage.

Yep I am considering going back to school to get a shrink degree. I could handle being one of the shrinks for NASCAR. Trust me. There is plenty of work for shrinks in NASCAR circles.

Ah ha, The Thinker strikes again. That no name driver is Kevin Lepage. He's been a #### his whole career. Couldn't ever keep a ride with any team accept his or his family's.

I'm thinking, a win is a win (except for Danica's). Bowyer finished ahead of everyone else. I think the one race that he won last year. He was strong, not just lucky.

Did you see Humphy gave Kyle half a $100 bill. Told the other half comes if he keeps up the excitment. Wonder what Jr. got. And Mikey..what a basher...lol.

Over 100,000 blogs on Kyle vs. Dale Jr.? Damn. Guess I have a lot more catching up to do than I thought.

Kevin LePage was the knucklhead at 'Dega. But it figures since he hasn't had a full-time ride since the Cat-in-the-Hat dumped him.

Sorry to hear that your a Mikey fan, Photo. Waltrip, to me, is the ultimate example (other than Kyle Petty) of one who made it to Cup based on family name, not talent.

Kevin Lepage it is. Just could not remember his name. I do recall he never finishes a race he gets in. Usually goes out with in a couple laps with a mystery engine problem.

I think the shootout should be in three parts, the race, an open debate, and a slap fight. Who will control the rioting and rampant bloggers afterward?

NASCAR still doesn't. This was the Aron's grid gals. Yep. the Dale Jr./Kyle shootout would be a big hit. Wonder if I could rent a track on an off week in NASCAR to promote this my self. UUMMM.

Now that you mentioned it, I nominate you to control the riots. I have to count the cash this event would bring in.

Imagine over 100,000 Jr. and Kyle fans roiting at a track.Gives me shudders.

I did enjoy Mikey when he was on Inside Winston Cup with Kenny Scrhader, Johhny Benson and Allen Bestwick. That show was a laugh riot. Bestwick always looked like he either wanted to throw something at Waltrip/Schrader or he was trying to keep from busting out laughing.

But Mikey's act just seems kind of contrived now. He isn't the goof that he plays in the media and is a bit hypocritical when it comes to critiquing his friends vs. other drivers. I remember one race he got together with Bobby Labonte at Rockingham and he was really kind of flippant about Bobby on the show. In reality, it looked obvious that Waltrip was blocking but Bobby was the better man and actually came on the Trackside show and apologized. The excuse he gave about his conduct toward Casey Mears at Richmond was very typical of how he is now - Casey was clueless, I lost my cool for a few seconds, but I still want to hear from Casey. It just seems like he rationalizes everything. Oh well, that's my take on MW.

Photogr,
Thinking is way over-rated in my opinion - most people can tell that easily by what I write. But in your case, your thinking is always interesting and worthwhile reading.

One - no great level of intelligence is required to be allowed to put your right foot on the gas pedal, turn left, and create havoc at any level of racing since there are no intellectual requirements for the owners either.

Two - EVERY Celestial Virgin I know says she wouldn't marry Tony even if he was mentally stable which he obviously is not - especially if he loves good ol' American Chevys so much that he leaves the best manufacturer and one of the best owners in Cup racing.

Three - it will be surprising to many if da Bif leaves Roush but maybe Jamie can take over Kevin Lepage's ride in the Nationwide series if that team manages to end the season with any rebuildable cars. (NOT likely with KL driving them though)

Four - Mikey must not be any better at "acting" like a race driver than he is in commercials trying to "act" like an actor. He definitely needs some long couch sessions with Kristen "HOT or NOT" Valus.

Anyway, thanks for thinking again - it saves me so much effort. I'm a thinking I'm a done a thinking about your thinkin at least for now.

Mikey may be the only race 'personality' on TV that is worse than Darrell. Remember a few years back what Robby Gordon said about Mikey after a run-in, at NH, I think. He said something like, "Everyone thinks Mikey's a good guy. Well, he's not. He's a piece of ####." That may be the only time I ever though Robby was right.

Is it actually possible for Waltrip to get angry ? As the expression on his face rarely seems to change. Just my own observations mind you .

I've a new post up under this guise titled Under The Radar No More ! Let me know what you think as ot the merits of the piece ? I'll look forward to reading your comments.

Hsm2488: All 43 drivers would be total mayhem. We have to control the excitement to a degree. Other wise it may filter out to the surrounding areas and level the towns.

Will do.

I would imagine many fans would. Especially the Jr Nation ones.

Oh no. Lets not go that far. We might loose the GGW Racing Team.

Over billing health care? They got limits that they allow here but they do a great job if you are self insured on over billing.
Just have to scream and yell till you get what you want to pay. I saved a large bundle doing that.

Uh Forensic. On the photo shoot, Do I have clothes on? Don't want to excite the gals or 24x2.

I would say Penske W ...because he has done international racing and spec series...and would hit the ground running (so to speak) He already has an open wheel team.

"I hear Jamie Mc Murray is looking for greener pastures as the Cat in the Hat cuts down to 4 teams. I have heard Greg Biffel is too. Wonder if they know something we don't?"

I hear Jamie has sponsorship from Crown Royal and Irwin through 2010 which leads me to believe Jamie is staying.

At this point everything is pending on Biffle. If Biffle leaves voluntarily, neither McMurray nor Ragan would be forced to leave by the four car limitation.

I would have to go with Beavers suggestion (Penske).

It is possible Biffle may be leaving on his own as rumor has it he is not happy.

My concern is how long can the Hat guy afford the wrecked cars Jamie is accumulating. His performance does not look impressive.

photogr it is always interesting to see what thoughts come out of your brain. lol

A two car race between Kyle and Jr. would be a big draw. But I am sure that Jr. Nation would say it was rigid when Kyle beat the golden child to the checkers. (I am ducking now, don't want to get hit by flying beer cans j/k)

I don't think Smoke is going anywhere either. As well as all the JGR teams are running, he would be crazy to leave now.
