Who do you think will win the Stanley Cup Finals, Pittsburgh or Detroit? I think that the Pens will win in 6 games. They are on a roll right now and I don't think any team can beat them 4 times in a 7 game series. What are your thoughts?
You seem a tad biased, I mean your name says pens87crosby. However, I think it'll be a fun and close series against two teams that haven't gotten a strong challenge all playoffs. Detroit will win if they can continue the puck control that has worked for them all playoffs, and Pittsburgh should win if their explosive offense gets going.
It will be a good series, that does seem a bit too close to call at this point. The offenses for both are great, and while the Wings D has gotten mad respect all year, people are finally starting to come around on how good the Pens D has become. Whoever plays the better defense is going to win this series. Remember in '95 the Devils put that trap on Wings and swept them. That Devils team wasn't nearly as good as the Pens, and the even though Therrian won't call it a trap, it is basically what they play. Not saying they will sweep the Wings, but I sure hope they come out on top. LET'S GO PENS!
In the beginning of the year, i had the Penguins beating San Jose in seven games. I will change it a little, and say the Pens beat Detroit in seven, Crosby Conn Smythe

But there will be this the defensive depth of the Wings and the neutral zone puck control game will show pens fans something.
and those pens that say they are not comparable to the stars really do not understand the Stars at all.
I really want Pens to win in seven with their offensive explosion, but if you look at last year, the offensive power was shut down by a great defense. This will be a GREAT series. Pens in seven.
Dud i disagre i dont think Pittsburgh can beat Detriot 4 times in a 7 games searis because Detriot does have the home field advange and they are really hard to beat at Joe Louis Arena and they can win on the road as well i just can not see pittsburgh wining the stanley cup four thoes reasons i really belve The Detriot Red Wings win the staley cup because of them haveing the home field advange if it goes 7 games but The Deriot Red Wings will brobley win this in 6 games but it would not surprise me if it was 5.
BenStarkey, Detroit is not an overrated team at all! Uh, the number one in goals against average for the season AND the playoffs, the second highest scoring team in the playoffs (only to Pens) and they are the most precise passing and positioning team i have seen play this year.
