*****Note: I had to change my Panthers/Vikings pick due to the injury to Peterson, and the return of Smith. The information I received on those two players was after I posted my picks on 09/16. Thanks***********
ALL HEED THIS: Ignore the above prediction that the Vikings will beat Carolina...NOT HAPPENING Prepare for another UPSET. Can't say the HULK didn't tell you so.
Carolina over Minnesota. There's a reason Gus Frerotte is a backup in Minny. He couldn't even beat out Tavaris Jackson in preseason. Now he's the starter?? Who does he have to throw the ball to?
With Steve Smith back, that will open up the Panthers' running game. Instead of putting 8 in the box, the Vikes will have to account for Smith and take a couple of defenders out of the box. PANTHERS 34, VIKINGS 20.
Probably one of the toughest picks. 2-0 team on the road against 0-2 and desperate (and at least decent) team with veteran backup handed the starting role.
BB21 & Carolinatightends - I really thought about this, and I was almost inclined to pick the Panthers.....but....the Viks down 0/2 with a new QB coming in will be desperate for a win. I think they pull it out against a good Panther team.
Oh, that goes for everyone else too! Just say that the Viks over the Panthers is my upset pick of week three. Thanx for the comments guys. I will post again after Sunday........
netsteeler- Haha! I knew there would be at least one Steeler fan show up and post a comment. Come on 10 points against the Browns? Little note here....the Eagles have scored 75 points in the last two games! They should be 2/0 right now....
i agree on most of the picks, but don't let that Eagles performance against the Cowbows fool ya.......with the balanced offense & the defense that the Steelers have, you may want to reconsider that one
I'll add that Jake Delhomme is one of the very best in the NFL at recognizing who's got the hot hand on the offense. If it's a RB, he'll get him the ball. If it's Steve Smith, he'll make sure Smith gets 15-20 touches. In Week 2, Jonathan Stewart had the hot hand and Delhomme kept getting him the ball. With Smith on the field, if he scores a couple of early TDs, it will force the Vikings' defense to double and triple team him, thus opening up the ground game. On the other side, Frerotte will have to abandon the running game, allowing the Panthers to pin their ears back and go after him.
Panther haters, keep sleeping on the Panthers, keep sleeping on them....
Steelers@Eagles - Big Ben's shoulder may interfere with his performance in the passing game. Parker is about to face his fear factor against the eagles defense( did not show much in Dallas, made some adjustments with this match-up, pick Eagles by 10.
Cowboys@Packers - they done it once, they'll do it again, enough said Cowboys by 14 because of T.O.
nba is the worst- I just found out about Peterson and I really don't think the Vik's are going to starting him. To make things worse Smith is returning as well.....So with that said I think I have no other choice but to change my pick...
sf8- the 49er's have 2 wins over the Seahawks & Lions....they have the next 3 games against NO, NE, and Philly.....beat those teams before you say "lay down the pipe" the 49er's are going no where!

Hello all, my name is P_REZ. I have always been involved in sports. From playing, to coaching, to watching, and betting. I am a native Houstonian. Which means I take Houston sports very seriously! The Astro's, Rocket's, and Texan's (Oiler's) are my favorite Teams! I don't always agree with some of the moves they tend to make (via trades, play calling, moving a franchise) but I do support them. Make no mistake about that! I think I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to sports. I have written a few blog's and will be writting a lot more in the future (or at least when I think certain things need to be addressed) I'll let you be the judge. So feel free to post a comment on my blog's and let me know what you think. Thanks! T/C until next time......... ..........PEA CE!
