It was a long summer but hockey's back!Here in Edmonton the main game is Pronger's return but he won't be the only one getting booed.Mr.Peca was saying all year how he hated Edmonton,why come here if you hate the city?Jaroslav Spacek left for Buffalo but we offered the same contract!Samsonov,Tarnstrom,Dvorak all joined the train also.Gonna be loud here in Rexall this year.Now where are those earplugs???? 

P.S TrueKingsFan don't answer my blog to bash the Oilers.That's all you've been doing this summer.

You might know about this already but roloson has been signed to a 3 year contract.I suppose this should come as a plus,but I wonder if his performance shall falter after that knee injury (thanks Ladd!).If so could Markkenan fill in?He should get some solid playing time and has proven himself when thrown into pressure.Conklin has left for the blue jackets(Edmonton forced him outta town LOL)so I don't think Markkenan should have a hard time getting the number two spot.I guess I'll find out on Oct.5 versus the Flames.Battle of Alberta!BRING IT ON!

Who would have thought that hamilton ti-cats would have been at 1-6?With Jason Maas,Corey Holmes and Terry Vaghn theyshould have exploded.Instead they imploded.With injuries to Corey Holmes early in the season and Jason Maas having problems with his hip,not to mention firing Greg Marshall and Craig Yeast,is this football team doomed?

Oilers leading scorer Ales Hemsky avoided a salary arbitration hearing by signing a six-year deal worth $24.6 million with Edmonton on Tuesday.Oneof the many emerging stars in the NHL,Hemsky had a career year scoring 19 goals,along with 58 assits.In the post-season he added 6 goals and 11 assists.

He scored four game-winning goals, one short-handed goal, registered a team-high 23 multiple-point games and posted 42 points on the power play last season.

Oilers assistant Gm said that Hemsky was a extremely important member of the club and that Hemsky should just keep on improving.

Hemsky adds to the list of oilers under contract including Rolie,Pisani,Horcoff,and Stoll.

Pronger gone,Peca gone,Spacek gone,Laraque gone! Whats a oiler fan supposed to do? Key players to our amazing run do we really have a chance this year.I am just wondering your thoughts people!Who do you think takes the cup this year.
