Brady won't be Best Male Athlete, since he didn't win the Super Bowl and SpyGate still stinks up voters.

Best Upset: Fresno State over Georgia. Here's why. NO ONE expected Fresno State to make the run they did. They BARELY won their conference, then their own conference tournament and were a #4 seed in the Region of Death, aka the Long Beach regional. They won that, then got hot and beat several teams in the top 10 en route to their national championship.

The New York Giants are a close second because their victory occurred in the NFL's biggest stage, the Super Bowl. They were a pretty good team themselves, finishing 10-6 and winning a wild card berth.

While App State's upset was huge, it did occur in the season opener, with no direct national championship implications. It did end Michigan's hopes of a national championship.

jon- the reason that i don't give fresno state the nod for the best upset is because they were a preseason top 25. everyone saw that that them had talent but they underachieved for the year which caused them to be so heavily doubted.

Was there a best college beatdown category ? As I'd like to have seen the nomination of Appalachian St and their victory over Michigan. I know that you got it there as Best College Upset but to my mind it was so much more than that !

Best Sporting Moment That Most Males Weren't Aware Of ? The Lingerie Bowl ....

See my latest piece on the NFL titled Greed Is Only Good When You Care Only About Yourselves And Not The Consumers Of The Product ! Let me know what you think as to the merits of the piece ? I'll look forward to reading your comments.
