My chase predictions..Still fighting for 12th
Jun 25, 2008 | 2:49AM | report this

Ok. Its not that I think I know it all. Just going by the way drivers are at the present.

 1. Kyle "Shrub" Busch #18 easy pick.

 2. Jeff Burton #31 Suttle but like Mark Martin there when it counts.

 3. June Bug #88 he is doing what needs to be done with good cars that dont break...

 4. Carl "Flipper" Edwards #99 The guy is getting all his ducks in a row. He has been winning.

 5. Jeff Gordon #24 I hope the #24 team can hold it together and be willing to take a chance at a win or two.

 6. Greg Biffle #16 The guy is proving he is the right choice for the "Cat in th Hat"

 7. Clint "JackMan" Boyer #07 Yea he is bring the Ohh#7 back in the fight.

 8. Tony "Smoke" Stewart He wants to leave gibbs on great turms. He will win before the chace.

 9. J.J. #48 why so far back. I think him and Chad will stumble in the heat of the summer.

 10. Matt "The Brat" Kenseth #17. I dont know he has a championship car and team this year. But looks like with Robbie gone they are getting it together.

 11. Brian "I know he aint there yet" Vickers. He would be here if at Charlottoe he wouldn't have lost that tire. He is having a career year. He will give RedBull its first win soon.

 12. Its a toss up. Kahne#9 I know he was hot. He cooled quick. Hamlin #11 stumblin over his own two feet. Harvick #29 If he would stop trying to come from 5th or 6th to win a race that is to far out of reach. These three cars and teams will be fighting it out at Richmond.

It will be a good race. I will not predict who will get it. Only the team and driver that step up to the plate and hit it out of here will make 12th. I know I will enjoy watching the races to get there. I hope you enjoy it as much as Noah and I.

Ok From the biggest anti Jr fan.
Jun 17, 2008 | 3:06PM | report this

I did rant to much. Jr. Did what he needed to do to win. The man is good. I will give him that. The #88 team is doing better in the COT than the Champs from Hendrick. My biggest driver Jeff GOrdon is fighting to finish on the lead lap.

I hated when Hendrick got rid of Kyle for Jr. Kyle is a KID with alot of tallent. I like that. When you go back to Richmond it looked like to kids fighting for first at any dirt track. That was racing. I dint want that wreck to happen. But I did like the fact they both went harder for it. And they both lost. Bet they would do it again if they had the chance.

That is good racing. Kyle is doing it his way. Kinda like Sr. in his first half of his career. Jr. does it his way. Kinda like Hendricks call and collective drivers. No Kyle didn't fir the Hendrick style. Jr. does. That still wont make me a fan of his. Yet he did what he had to.

Nascar has done that alot with the passing shutting off and coasting. My fav. Guy Jeff got it back in Dega years ago. Thankyou frevr3 for reminding me. Nascar has done that alot. I wonder if the rule after this will be in Black n White? Or will they leave it grey as it is?

Again I am sorry for my rant. This weekend will be a good one. Noah and I will be in Milwaukee for the trucks and Nationwide cars. Then we will be home to enjoy the race in Cali. Were the drivers will turn Right as well as left.

Be sure to watch and see if you see Noah he as always will be near the flagstand flagging. And thankyou Frevr3 for reminding me of what has been for a while.

ALSO one last time..(And it hurts) congadultions to Dale Jr. and the #88 team.

Kyle vs Jr. with 14 down and 22 to go.
Jun 13, 2008 | 1:25AM | report this

Well Kyle in the stats is kicking the rubber off Jrs. car. We have 14 races down and 22 to go. It is fun as an anti Earnhardt fan. "Still hate he is at Hendrick"..LOL..It is kinda fun to watch. What the black sheep from Hendricks camp is doing. I am enjoying this.

 Ok lets break it down.

Kyle has 4 wins. Jr has.......O wins..Hmm Kyle is winning here.

 Ok lets do top fives.

Kyle has 9 top fives..wow nine in 14 races.  Jr. has 6. Not to shabby there.

 Ok top tens 6th-10th.

Kyle 1. Well 9 others are top fives...ok what about Jr. 3. well that puts them almost even with total top 10s. So Jr. isnt doing to bad.

Now Kyle also has the worst finish of 43. Jr has 40th. So Jr. is better there.

They are also even with outside the top 20 2 A piece.

So I guess they are not to far apart on the year. Other than the 4 wins.

Jr. has to be happy with just  not blowing up. And Kyle he is on top of the world.

Oh wait another stat. Kyle has won in all 3 big series this year...How many has Jr. got..Hmm.O again. Ok Ok.. I will stop picking. Jr. is doing better than last year.

Kyle on the other hand. Well he is Kicking #### and taking names. This is a fun thing to watch. Cant wait till Kyle wins in Chevy,Dodge, and Fords back yard...Though I am still a Chevy man...And hope Jeff Gordon pulls out the victory. It is a great year..

Jeff Gordon
May 31, 2008 | 3:32AM | report this

Well for as bad a year as Jeff has had, he is in the top 10 in points. We are at Dover this week. A track Jeff can run good at as well as he has won here. Is it time to get the monkee off the #24 teams back? Is it time for Jeff to get back to victory circle?

Those are questions I hope as a Gordon fan will be answered in a positive way. From the run he had in practice he looks good. The whole #24 team looks like they are ready to get put of this funk. I know last week with mileage they got a top five with a top 20 car. That might have put a little pep in their step.

Who would have thought after last seasons win fest for Hendrick and there domination with the COT that they would struggle? Or that Jr. would be Hendricks poster boy? I still wonder if Rick is thinking twice about dumping the Shrub? Things to wonder about.

Remember the one Hendrick win by J.J. was a milage race. There has not been a good domination race by Hendricks cars yet. I think thats about to change. This week I predict Jeff Gordon, leading the most laps. He will win the race sunday at Dover. He will be a happy Daddy in victory lane.

J.J. will be close by. He has a top five car. Casey Mears will be a leadlap car all day holding a nice top ten. As for Jr. I am not a fan. So I will not predict anything good or bad for him. I am sure Jr. nation will tell me something about him..LOL..

Also I am getting ready for my treck to Eldora. I am leaving at five am wensday morning. Its a seven hour treck. I cant wait. Again if they have HiFi I will use my laptop to give you a post race update. Also I will let you know about the Dream. It is going to be an awsome week of racing. Wish you could all be there. Watch for Noah flaggin if you get the payper view. We are sitting at the flagstand and Noah will have his flaggs.

Also get the PayPer View on HBO. Tony has set up for the money to go to some great causes. The Victory Junction Camp is the big one. Please help out. As I will Have the race taped on my PayPer View at home. As well as going to the race. Rember its not that much and it is an awsome cause. Be sure to thank Tony Stewart for giving this to us. As well as all the drivers to give there time.

From Noahspop and Noah. Thankyou Tony Stewart.

Eldora..and the Prelude to the Dream
May 22, 2008 | 12:40AM | report this

Yes Noah will be at the flagstand waving his flags. I have seats right at the flagstand. Reserved. Just got them last week. I am hopefull that they will have WiFi internet. If so I am taking my laptop. I will try to update over the weekend.

This will be mine and Noahs first trip to Eldora. We are so excited. The big guys on dirt. My favorite drivers Jeff Gordon, and yes I like the Shrub. Also Noahs favorite driver Matt "The Bratt" Kenseth will be there.

I am also staying for the Dream on saturday. Noah and I are camping across the street from the track. We will have to keep you posted on all that goes on. Also I know Photo will be there trying to get in the pits. That lucky dog. If we are lucky maybe we will get to run into eachother. I will be easy to spot. I will have a nine yearold flag man walking beside me.

Well like I said we will keep you updated. And thankyou very much Tony Stewart for putting this together. As well as all the drivers and sponsors making it possible for us to come and enjoy it. Also for those of you who cant make it. It will be on payper view on HBO "Thankyou HBO" for your viewing pleasure. I am DVRing it at home to watch it again. I know were we are sitting we cant see it all. But Noah will get to flag it.

Allstar Snooze fest.
May 19, 2008 | 12:28AM | report this

He lead. He broke. Oh well the #18 and all Gibbs teams took a shot at a motor that didn't work. Then Kahne took over and won. Congrats to the #9 Bud team. They needed a kick start.

Other than that the race was boring. No smackem crashem kinda run. I though with Kyle blowing up after stage 2 we would have some racing.. Little did I know it was just a test sesion. Humphy needs to go back to the invert. Make the faster guys have to earn it.

Also what the Heck is up with the #2 and the #12. They looked as if they were smacked in the left rear and still running. The right rear was sticking out like it was dog tracking. Are we missing something here. Is that legal. Did they find a way to set up diffrent?

Last but not least. The Hendrick team. I am a Hendrick fan. Except Jr. Didn't like before dont like now. Still like Kyle Busch. Anyway. They are still missing alot with the COT of 08. Jeff ran fast 2 laps and fell like a rock. Jimmy didn't get any better. Casey ran near the back. And even Jr. couldn't find a way up front. The need to change alot.

Well I hope the 600 brings a little more drama. If not hello early nap time after dinner on sunday night....

2nd 4th 6th and 7th..Ahh Hendrick
Mar 30, 2008 | 3:45PM | report this

Well 2nd for Gordon. Johnson got 4th. June Bug got 6th, and Mears 7th. Not bad for a team on the brink of..Oh wait that was the guys sayin Hendrick is having a bad year. What a rebound. Also that puts three Hendrick cars in the top ten in points. I would call that a good weekend.

You see Jeff had a little bad luck but whiule running good. It wasn't like he was runnin in the back of the field every week. Jimmie had troubles but still came back. Today with a 4th. Jr. Even though I am not a fan. Has proven he can drive with good equipment. I had doubts, he is proven me wrong. Yes Frevr3 we are tied at 3 apiece.

Now a good test comes next week and see if all the cars for Hendrick are good were the car has to handle on the track. We are at Texas the cookie style track. Hope for a good race.

I know Kyle Busch had a bad weekend. He finished last. But he had a good car till the rear end went away. A few cars had that problem. It wasnt limited to one make or team. Gibbs had the victory with Hamlin. Congradulations to Denny and the #11 team. The Gibbs team has 2 wins now. Proves how good Gibbs and Toyota are.

So in a nut shell. This year the team to beat seems to be Gibbs anf Toyota. Hendrick has proven they are not far off. RCR has also been near the front week in and week out.

I think the surprise though from Gibbs, as well as RCR, Smoke has not won yet. He was figured to be the strongest for Gibbs. He had a shot at Bristol, then a wreck. For RCR, the strong cars was thought to be the #29 and Harvick. Today Burton and Boyer were up front. Harvick wasn't around. He has not had a great start. Him and Tony are having Bumps in the road toward victory lane.

You know though. I can tell you like 30 other teams would call that a great year to have that kinda luck.

So Hendrick looked good as a whole team. Gibbs won but still had a bump in the road this weekend. RCR, had two outa three. Roush had cars in front back and the wall.

Lets see what happens next week at Texas. Also the points are a little tighter. Hope it stays this way till Richmond.

For the non belivers of the Shrub..
Mar 22, 2008 | 12:48PM | report this

You have alot of bloggers who have hate when Kyle is compared to Sr. I dont get it. The kid is good. He is winning in everything he drives. He has a voice that is heard, and listned to.

Why when some says that he reminds them of Dale Sr. do people get hate in their blood. I know noone will ever replace Sr. Just like their will never be another King and 200 wins. Just like we will probably never be another underdog driving an Underbird, like Alan Kulwiki.

I would love to see someone win races like the King. Kinda had that last year with Johnson and Gordon, then it got to be to much. I didnt like it then. Remeber when the King started winning they had like 60 plus races a year.

Now as for Alan and the Underbird, I dont know if we will ever have an owner driver win another championship. It was unheard of when he did it in 1992. That race for the championship at Atlanta that year was historic. You had 3 guys go in with a real chance of winning. Davey Allison had the points lead, Alan was a close second, and Bill Elliott was a close third. About halfway through Davey crashed hard on the fron strech. Bill went on to win the race and Alan won the championship finishing close behind Bill.

Also that day The king ran his last race. Also the new kid, Jeff Gordon made his first cup start. Yea that was a great day.

Now back to Kyle. Like Sr. he tells everyone how he feels about the car. The track, as well as anything good or bad towards nascar. You never had to wonder how Sr. felt. When you win races like Kyle they listen. When you win championships like Sr. they listen and react. He helped get actions toward his ideas as well as other drivers that were friends of Sr.s.

Kyle doesn't have that pull YET. Will he ever get it. Maybe. Tony Stewart has it. Jeff Gordon has it. Jeff though is not the out spoken kind like Sr. I as a fan wish Jeff was more like Sr. than a nascar poster boy. He did speak after Vegas. You can bet on softer barriers at spots like the one at Vegas.

Kyle is like Sr. in many ways. Driving, and attitude toward his driving. They both go for it on the track. They put the car anywhere they think it needs to be to pass and win. Sr. in the grass for the pass. Kyle on the flat of a track to pass. Yea I only have a few things to throw at you about the two.

Kyle if he can win a championship this year. "I think he can" will make this a little better of a comparision. So if you think I am out of my mind camparing the two, that is your opion. If Kyle keeps driving and winning this way, dont say I told ya so. Seven championships I dont think we will ever see that again with the Chase format. With out it Gordon would have 6 now.

This year and Kyle Busch are going to be awsome to watch. Rember I said this at the begining of the year. Kyle is alot like Sr. Just look back at my Bloggs. Anyway the Busch race in Nashville is on and Kyle is leading. Go figure. Gota watch it. Blog back at ya soon..

Kyle the Shrub is the real deal.
Feb 17, 2008 | 8:58AM | report this

I noticed in the truck race after a turn two wreck a few drivers whined about Kyle. When the wreck involved The Shrub, he didnt cause the truck on the bottom to drift up to the truck in the middle. Wich in turn spun the truck on the bottom into Shrubs truck...

Also in the Duel some drivers complained about the Shrub in Duel 2. He was high he was low. He didnt hit anyone and ran anywere he wanted.

Ahh Now its the sunday of the 50th running of the Daytona 500. Shrub is going to be good. Be all over. Yet someone will complain. Yes I am a Shrub fan. I am a Gordon fan and adopted the Shrub when he was his teamate. Now I am anti Earnhardt. So its only 3 Hendrick cars and a Gibbs Shrub...SHoulod be a good race today..

Frevr..Kyle will finish ahead of the June Bug...Hope to see you at somerace some time my friend...

Jr. wins......With alot of team help.
Feb 10, 2008 | 10:16AM | report this
Ok Jr. won. With Jimmy pushing him. Jr. won. With Jeff backing off from the #22 and not pushing Blaney around Jr. with only a couple laps to go. Jr. won. With all 3 of his Hendrick teamates working as a TEAM. Could he have done it with out them? Maybe. He would have had to deal with Tony and Vlaney ganging up on him though. If the Yodas could have got together they would have had a shot.  Jr. won with alot of help. Does he have a shot at the 500? Yes he is Dale Sr.s son. They are superspeedway guys. His father could "see the air" I dont know if anyone will ever be the man in black. But Jr. is close at the superspeedways. I hope he thanked Jimmy Johnson for the push. Jeff Gordon for the effort of not pushing Dave Blaney around him. Also Casey Mears for pushing behind Jimmy. The Hendrick Team all four cars won the Bud Shootout. The Team looked great. t remind me of a 500 when Jeff, Terry Labonte, and Ricky Craven finished 1-2-3 at the 500. The shootout last night was Jr. 1st Jimmy 3rd, Jeff 4th, and Casey 6th. cant wait for the 500...

Congrats to the #48 team
Nov 19, 2007 | 12:26AM | report this

Plain and simple, the best team during the chase.  Chad & Jummie put all there ducks in a row for the 10 race chase. Way to go.

Congrats to Jeff on 30 top 10s this year. That is an awsome new record. Jeff & Robbie got it good all year.

Way to go Clint and the #07 Jack team. The guys there did what was thought to be a imposible for them. He won his first race, the first in the chase and held on to third in points. Great job.

What a year the good the bad and the traing of points..Didnt understand it all. I know I didnt agree with it all. The races of 07 are over and 90 days till the 50th running of the Daytona 500 I cant wait. BigD I know you and Photo are reading this, let me know what ya think. Lori dont forget to pick me up for Daytona. And everyone else dont be to quiet in the off season. Lets keep bloggin a bit and sayin hi and keep up with the racing. It has been fun here....

Shrub=Awsome,
Nov 12, 2007 | 12:28AM | report this

Way to go Kyle "Shrub" Busch. He won the trucks, and Busch races. What the heck is Hendrick thinking. #8 in 43 do to his driving. I predict Shrub to win a championship before Jr. Probably a race as well. The kid is awsome. I didnt thinkI was going to be any kind of Yoda fan, but with the Shrub going to Gibbs and Yoda, I will have to be a fan. I will still like 3 out of 4 Hendrick cars. Still cant see myself as an Earnhardt fan. Just doesnt sit well in my gut.

Now looking forward to Homestead. Well the Shrub will be in his last race in the #5 car. Rember back at martinsville, when the orders were for Shrub to back off the #48? Well I hope he rembers he owes the #48. Dont get me wrong here, I am a Hendrick fan minus #88..lol The Shrub should if he has a chance get close to the #48 and make it interesting. I wouldnt say take him out, but make him very aware he is there.

When Shrub was givin the order to back off, he did. Now when #48 got to the back of the #24 he got all into his cookies. So I say what comes around goes around. I wouldnt shed a tear if the #48 went around late in the race. Jimmie pulled a Tony in the race at martinsville. Do as I say, not as I do.

For the Tony fans I made mad there. Rember back in Daytona 2006. He said to drive easier and not get push happy. Then turn around and slam Kenseth.

Ok with that I look forward to homestead. Cant wait till next year and the Shrub showing Hendrick what he gave up. Should be a good show sunday, and then only 91 days later the DAYTONA 500...and back to the FOX covrage......

3 races left, 3 contenders left.
Oct 30, 2007 | 12:29AM | report this

Jeff made something outa nothing at Atlanta. His crew did an awsome job of making a top 20 car a top 10 car. He was able to hold the lead. Not a bad day. Maybe with out Jr.s misfortune he could have got higher. Maybe not. He was able to avoid all the crashes and debre from tires. So he holds a 9 point lead over Jimmie.

Jimmie did what he has done alot this year, sweep for the third time at a track. WOW. what a run. And he got lucky Kyle "shrub" Busch got caught in the Hamlin mishap. Kyle would have caught him. It turned out like alot of races this year with the #48 pushing to the front. He is only 9 points back of Jeff. I dont see them getting to racey against eachother in the next 2 races. But if the are still this close when we get to Homestead look out.

What about Clint. He and the #07 team are doing all they can to stay in the chase. He is only 111 points back and still running great. He has the a great avrage finish in all the chase races. He is also proving the win in chase race 1 wasnt a fluke. He is up near the front most of the chase races. Clint will continue to fight for the top and if Jimmie and Jeff have 1 problem in either of the next 3 races, Clint will be there to grab the hardware.

Tony kinda fell out with his problems at Atlanta. But as always Smoke will go down swinging. I would not be surprised with another win at Texas for Tony. Smoke and his team wont give up. I still wonder if there will be a chance of him getting out of the Toyota deal and going to RCR. maybe maybe not. This will be a good offseason.

Well the "shrub" Kyle Busch will be the thorn in the side of the chasers 1-3 as well. I see him trying harder and harder every week to go out with a win. He had said he was going for broke sunday and he was either going to the front or wrecking it after the pitstop jack mishap. He should have came out in the top 5. Instead back like 12th or 15th. then getting in the Hamlin wreck. Yea "shrub" will be swinging even harder come Homestead. He wants to show Hendrick what he gave up.

So now its off to Texas. For the championship its a 3 car fight. It will be fun to watch. I would like to see non chasers and even chasers outa of the championship fight come out with all the fight in them they had at Daytona. I dont want to see anyone moving over for 1-3 on the chase. I dont see anyone doing that either. No it will come down to Homestead and hopefully with all three having a shot.

Ok 4 left, races and chasers.
Oct 26, 2007 | 10:36PM | report this

Tony is a long #### at 249 back. He needs help from the gremlins. He is capeable of doing it but like I said needs help. He is good at all four tracks left. Though his qualifing is not been good of late. That has bittin him hard on pit road. And again lackluster at Atlanta. Maybe he has another motivation, RCR? Maybe he is a bowtie man. His dirt cars all have chevy motors. Hmm. Anyway I will leave that for you to wonder about.

Clint 115 back and the black RCR car runnig for a championship again. Myself I was a hater of Earnhardt, my mom loved him. You know the saying you either loved him or hated him but always respected him. So yea its nice to see the black RCR car there. Not the same but still nice. The kid Clint though is the real deal. Rember back in 2003 when Matt the bratt won 1 race and the championship? Well the changed it to the chase so the winner of the race got more and could win it. Well Clint won race 1 of the chase and has a good shot with CONSITANCY to win the cup like Matt did. Yea he is not a fluke. He is the real deal as well as RCR being back to championship status. Oh and cant wait to se Tony there. Oh wait that is not yet official.

Jimmie 53 back and defending champ. Well he is doing what he has to do. But Jeff is to. Jimmie needs to keep winning and also hope for a gremlin. He is one of the best this year. But he seems to be either winning or spinning. I just wish him and Chad would stop whyning about Kyle. Kyle had the car to beat him and Jeff. The boys asked him to back off. Now he has a coupl of shots owd to him"Jimmie" and I think if Kyle has a shot at a win in the last couple of races and Jimmie is in front of him. Being out of Hendrick and all, there will be no love lost using the chrome horn. Look for Kyle to have no mearse in the last to races. I see Jimmie lading and Kyle second at Homestead. Kyle either gets Jimmie to lt him pass or punt him out of the way.

Jeff leader. If he keps doing what he is doing, top 5 top 10 every race and no gremlin bites the championship is his. With his new wife and becoming a father, he is on cloud nine. The man is the man to beat. The chase took his lead away and he got it back. Jimmie has won more races this year but still behind. I dont think anyone will catch him. Not this year. Jeff has taken this year to a new level. He gets along with his teamates. He lets thm know great job when they win. He lets them lean his way when they have bad weeks. Also he has welcomed Jr. and said goodbye to a friend in Kyle and wished him best of luck.

This year I dont see any surprise. Jeff is going to win his 5th. Jr. is going to be his teamate, I still wont be a Jr. fan. lol. And Kyle taks out Jimmie at Homestead. Will we see Tony at RCR next year. Rember Richard wants a 4th car. Tony is a GM poster boy. His dirt is all chevy. 2007 has been a good year, and there are 4 great races left. Lets make them all safe. And wait to se the last Nextel champ.

Well now about the teams and drivers we like. I am a Hendrick fan #24 preferably, and Noah my son Roush and the #17. So last spring was fun when we went to Bristol.
