Jeff made something outa nothing at Atlanta. His crew did an awsome job of making a top 20 car a top 10 car. He was able to hold the lead. Not a bad day. Maybe with out Jr.s misfortune he could have got higher. Maybe not. He was able to avoid all the crashes and debre from tires. So he holds a 9 point lead over Jimmie.
Jimmie did what he has done alot this year, sweep for the third time at a track. WOW. what a run. And he got lucky Kyle "shrub" Busch got caught in the Hamlin mishap. Kyle would have caught him. It turned out like alot of races this year with the #48 pushing to the front. He is only 9 points back of Jeff. I dont see them getting to racey against eachother in the next 2 races. But if the are still this close when we get to Homestead look out.
What about Clint. He and the #07 team are doing all they can to stay in the chase. He is only 111 points back and still running great. He has the a great avrage finish in all the chase races. He is also proving the win in chase race 1 wasnt a fluke. He is up near the front most of the chase races. Clint will continue to fight for the top and if Jimmie and Jeff have 1 problem in either of the next 3 races, Clint will be there to grab the hardware.
Tony kinda fell out with his problems at Atlanta. But as always Smoke will go down swinging. I would not be surprised with another win at Texas for Tony. Smoke and his team wont give up. I still wonder if there will be a chance of him getting out of the Toyota deal and going to RCR. maybe maybe not. This will be a good offseason.
Well the "shrub" Kyle Busch will be the thorn in the side of the chasers 1-3 as well. I see him trying harder and harder every week to go out with a win. He had said he was going for broke sunday and he was either going to the front or wrecking it after the pitstop jack mishap. He should have came out in the top 5. Instead back like 12th or 15th. then getting in the Hamlin wreck. Yea "shrub" will be swinging even harder come Homestead. He wants to show Hendrick what he gave up.
So now its off to Texas. For the championship its a 3 car fight. It will be fun to watch. I would like to see non chasers and even chasers outa of the championship fight come out with all the fight in them they had at Daytona. I dont want to see anyone moving over for 1-3 on the chase. I dont see anyone doing that either. No it will come down to Homestead and hopefully with all three having a shot.
That's about the way I see it. Tony will not give up but it will be hard to make up the difference. He seems to do better when he's in a box (sort of speak). Let's just have fun and enjoy the rest of the races.
Even though it will probably be an HMS car to take the championship this season, I still like to root for the underdog. I am excited to see Bowyer still staying in the hunt with the HMS boys. Of course they need to make a mistake(s) for him to truly have a chance at the Cup.
Gerrel Clint needs to have the #24 & #48 to have problems. It will be fun to watch. I also seeeee Kyle and th #5 team not backing off and getting a win in the last 3 races.
Well I am a Father of an awsome 9 yearold junior flaggman. Together we are the biggest racefans. We have an awsome diecast collection and love to get to any races we can. I became a fan with my mother, and now my son with me. I work full time as a machinist, and father. This will be something new and enjoyable, I will also get my sons view and let you no that as well. Well now about the teams and drivers we like. I am a Hendrick fan #24 preferably, and Noah my son Roush and the #17. So last spring was fun when we went to Bristol.
