I know everyone says he is greedy and selfish, but, he was OFFERED the huge dollars! This guy is one of the best players out there and has been for quite a while. I watched him as a teenager in Seattle and was blown away at his pure talent. I hated seeing him leave for texas but they OFFERED him that huge contract and Seattle couldn't afford that! Granted that killed Texas but whose fault is that? A-rod? I think not-he didn't demand that money texas OFFERED it to him!
This guy hit 170 HR's and over 500 RBI's in NY alone! If he is so greedy name me another athlete that said " Oh I couldn't possibley take that much money for playing a game! Please cut my pay in half!" I can't think of a single one!
Also shame on you Yankee fans for not appreciating what a great player he has been for you. You sure seemed to like him this year because you couldn't cheer for anyone else on your team!
And before you start about his post season slumps lets not forget HE IS the reason you even had a post season, where was Jeter and the rest of the team?
Just mellow Montanan thought and I am curious what everybody else thinks about A-rod.

Last night I was watching the sox-tribe game and once again Manny being Manny hit a bomb to right center field and stand there for 30 seconds with his hands in the air starring at his home run. Now I'm all for the long ball but that is pretty unsportsman like, especially in someone else's park to show up the pitcher and other team and fans! I am surprised someone hasn't earholed him in this post season. He does it everytime he hits a home run!
What ever happened to just doing your job, put your head down and run the bases? I know little leagures that dont do that and they aren't getting paid millions of dollars to "act" like a professional! I like the bosox and I'm not trying to call just Manny out for this, plenty of others are guilty as well. Just a little rant and curious to see what everyone else thinks about this. I think its embarrassing but what do I know-just a laid back Montanan!
I was born and raised in Billings Mt and moved after H.S. I lived in Seattle for 17 years and moved back here to Montana 5 years ago and miss all those Seattle teams! GO SEAHAWKS Turn ons: anytime the yankees lose! Damn the evil empire!!! I also am a huge fan of one of the greatest pure hitters of our time Edgar Martinez! HOF no question in my mind. Oh theres also that other Seattle hitter, I think his name is ICHIRO or something like that!
