Finally!!! I was about to write Kwaame off as another B. Cook/ Samaki Walker/ EldenCampbell, you know," Laker Wannabe's". The basketball gods did not allow you to go in the first round for nothing, man. I have never wavered in my faith in your skills. You have GAME. All your other teammates are GETTING IT this year. YOUR TIME IS NOW Kwaame Brown! I know you can GET IT too.
It's unfortunate that OUR BIG MAN is out for eight weeks. I feel that the rest of the team should pull their own weight. We've won THREE RINGSby guys not playing up to their potential. How sweet life would be in LAKERLAND if everybody pulled their own weight. Say what you want about THE BEST PLAYER NOW!!!(Kobe Bryant), but remember we are on the outside looking in!!!
i keep thinking how awesome it would be if Kwame actually plays like he's a $9 million player... but then something hits me... HE'S NOT. I find it hard to beleive that a Laker fan could actually respect kwame after all he's done to us... or should i say 'all he's NOT done.'
I'll respect Kwame if he fills the gap that Drew is leaving... but that's highly unlikely, thus, the haterade continues.
oh dude....what are you smoking? Kwame is one of the worst centers/players in the NBA. He couldn't hold a ball in his hands and dish it off at the right moment unless Kobe went streaking by and grabbed it himself. He is just awful.....
I hope you are right laanisamzun! I have a hard time seeing it. I like Kwaame's defense, but offensively, he is no Bynum. In fact, every time I hear a loud "SMACK!" I think someone passed Kwamme the ball again.
First of all, Elden Campbell does not belong in the same sentence as Brian Cook and Samaki Walker.
Campbell, albeit inconsistent, was always a solid offensive weapon. You obviously don't remember many-a-times Elden put up 20 and 10 for the Lakers in the nineties.
In fact, he scored 40 on Patrick Ewing during a Lakers victory at the Forum, and scored 20+ more than a few times during his Laker career. Tell me the last time Samaki or B-Cook scored over 30?
As far as Kwame goes, I'll take him over Cook and Walker anyday. But Brown is certainly no Campbell. Brown is more on the level of a J.R. Reid or Corie Blount.

What about going to a three-forward or three-guard formation in the interim, until Bynum comes back? Some #### suggested that the Lakers TRADE Bynum and Odom for Jermaine (Stiff) O'Neal!!! I responded that it was one of the WORST posts of the ENTIRE year.
campbell always did a good job when filling in for the injury prone shaq. he was a solid player.
i hate that bynum is out for so long. i was hoping we would be in first place by the end of the week after we bet the suns. i'm not sure now. i hope we don't miss him as much as i think we will.
... i forgot to say that kwame has the worst hands in the nba. the only thing worse than his hands is his ability to finish at the rim. hopefully him being benched and all the attention bynum is getting sparks something inside of him... yeah right
JON464: "These next two months will make or break Kwame Brown."
Make - get a double-double every other game (we can't expect EVERY game because that's what BYNUM does), make 70% of his free throws, and stay out of foul trouble.
