An Overhiped game.
Dec 13, 2007 | 5:40AM | report this
Great. This week, I can't watch my favorite sports shows. Not ESPNEWS, not Jim Rome is Burning, not Around the Horn, not PTI, not NFL Primetime, not NFL Network, and even not SportsCenter. Do you know why. Cause this is all you'll hear. "Revenge sweet Revenge for the Patriots this week. They will DESTROY New York."

Well, the game is still three days away and I'm already sick of hearing it. There are three "reasons" that all of the possible TV annalists in sports can come up with. Here they are.

Mangini and company turned the Patriots in for spygate
After the Jets got beat bad by the Patriots, Mangini decided to turn in Belichick  for using "spygate,"or staling the other team's signals with a camera. For cheating, (and changing their  http://www.secsportsfan.com/images/patriots_spygate_logo.gif
logo without permission,) they were fined:Belichick 500,000 dolars and Goodell docked the team $250,000 and a first-round draft pick next year (or a lesser pick if the Patriots miss the playoffs). It was the biggest fine ever for a coach -- it represents 12 percent of Belichick's scheduled 2007 salary, which is believed to be $4.2 million -- and would be the first time in NFL history a first-round draft pick has been confiscated as a penalty. The Taper Matt Estrada, will not be punished. How big of a deal is this? Well here is what I think. It happened 13 weeks ago, and even though it is tough to trust anything Belichick says anymore, I don't think the Patriots care anymore. They are over it. Every week, this team is focused on one thing. Their next opponent. and now, when you hear this, we're just focused on the Dolphins or we're just focused on the Giants, you can believe Belichick. If this team isn't focused, then no team has ever been focused before.

Mangini and Belicheck are Enemies now that Mangini turned Belicheck in
http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/2900/e9edd25a21a54d1fbb73676ui7.jpg

Because of the ever-growing animosity between Eric Mangini and former mentor Bill Belichick, the postgame handshake has become almost bigger than the actual game. It's always good theater when two adversaries, jaws clenched, extend their hands for an obligatory, if not heartfelt moment of sportsmanship.

Some who know Belichick believe the coach is so angry at Mangini, the perceived snitch in the "SpyGate" scandal, that they wouldn't be surprised if he skips the handshake and repairs immediately to the locker room Sunday at Gillette Stadium."The handshakes and the high-fives and all that. Right now, my attention is on the New York Jets, and that's really all I'm thinking about," Belichick said yesterday in Foxborough. "High-fives, cartwheels...I haven't given too much thought about that."

Yes, Belichick is angry with Mangini, but not the reason you think. I think Belichick is still mad about Mangini leaving New England. He has the right to be, doesn't he? 10 years of coaching service and Mangini slipped out the back door. Look at what Eric is missing out on now!\

Because Bill Belichick is their coach.

Bill Belichick is in his 33rd season as an NFL coach and is the only head coach in NFL history to win three Super Bowl championships in a four-year span.He was hired by Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft on Jan. 27, 2000 and is in his eighth season as Patriots head coach in 2007.

In his first seven seasons in New England, Belichick has delivered three Super Bowl championships, three conference titles, five division crowns and 12 playoff victories, while posting an overall record of 87-39. Belichick directed the Patriots to victories in Super Bowls XXXVI (2001), XXXVIII (2003) and XXXIX (2004), and New England's 12 playoff victories since 2001 mark the second highest playoff win total for any head coach in a six-year period. In 2001, just his second season as Patriots head coach, Belichick guided the Patriots to their first league title with a dramatic victory in Super Bowl XXXVI. In the seasons since then, he has directed New England to sustained success.

Belichick has led the Patriots to nine or more victories in each of the last six seasons, making the Patriots the only NFL franchise to accomplish that feat. Additionally, his teams have won the AFC East title and advanced in the playoffs in four straight seasons and have accomplished the feat in five of the last six seasons. The Patriots' four straight years of playoff advancement mark the longest such streak in the NFL and their string of four straight division crowns is a team record and is tied for the longest current streak in the league.

Belichick's accomplishments have placed him among the NFL's elite coaches. Belichick has led the Patriots to a 70-26 (.729) regular-season record since 2001, which is the best in the NFL over that period. New England's 12 playoff wins since 2001 are also a league best. Belichick owns a career playoff record of 13-3, with his .813 playoff winning percentage placing second in NFL history behind only the legendary Vince Lombardi (9-1, .900). Belichick's 13 career playoff wins rank fifth all-time.In 2006, Belichick directed the Patriots to a berth in the AFC Championship Game for the third time in four years and for the fourth time in six seasons. New England won the AFC East division for the fourth consecutive season, tying the all-time record for consecutive AFC East titles. Last year the Patriots set a franchise record by allowing just 14.8 points per game, and their 14 total victories tied the second highest total in franchise history, trailing only the 17 wins achieved in 2003 and 2004.

In 2005, New England won 11 games despite being forced to use 45 different starters, an NFL record for a division champion. After starting the season 4-4 and being faced with a rash of injuries, the Patriots won six of their next seven games to claim their third straight division title. From 2003-04, Belichick directed the Patriots through the most prosperous two-year period for any team in NFL history, netting back-to-back Super Bowl victories and consecutive 17-2 campaigns. The team's 34 victories in 2003-04 mark the highest two-year win total in the NFL's 87-year history. A winning streak of 21 consecutive games - also unprecedented in NFL annals - spanned the two seasons. The team's 17 wins in 2003 and 2004 are tied with the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins for the third-most in NFL history, trailing only the 1985 Chicago Bears and the 1984 San Francisco 49ers (both 18-1). New England was undefeated at home in both 2003 and 2004, and set a franchise record by winning 21 straight home games from 2002-05.

The 2004 season saw the Patriots tie the best regular-season record by a defending Super Bowl champion (14-2). New England capped off the year with another memorable playoff run, culminating in a 24-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX that made Belichick just the fourth head coach in NFL history to win at least three Super Bowl titles. Only one coach (Pittsburgh's Chuck Noll, 4) has won more Super Bowls. Belichick's three Super Bowl titles tie Washington's Joe Gibbs and San Francisco's Bill Walsh for second place on the NFL's all-time list. Noll, Gibbs and Walsh are all enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

One of the hallmarks of Belichick's teams have been their ability to consistently succeed against top competition. The Patriots enter the 2007 season with a record of 22-8 (.733) against playoff teams since the beginning of the 2003 season. In their 38 regular season and playoff games in 2003 and 2004, the Patriots played 23 contests against teams that finished the season with a record of .500 or better. New England recorded a remarkable 22-1 (.957) mark in those games, while the rest of the league was a cumulative 74-182 (.289) against the same squads. In the playoffs, Belichick's Patriots are a perfect 5-0 against teams holding the top seed in their conference.

Belichick's teams have consistently relied on the depth and resiliency of the roster to overcome injuries and setbacks. In 2001, the Patriots opened the season 0-2 before rebounding to win 14 of their next 17 games. In 2003, a 31-0 season-opening setback in Buffalo was answered triumphantly, as the team rebounded to win 17 of the next 18 games despite using 42 different starters (then an NFL record for a division champion). In 2004, injuries were overcome yet again, as the Patriots used 40 different starters, including nine different starters in the secondary. In 2005, New England started 4-4, but went on to claim the AFC East title by using 45 different starters, breaking the NFL record that it had set two years earlier for the most starters by a division champion.Belichick's Patriots have rarely been rattled and have been able to consistently maintain leads and bounce back following losses. Since 2001, his teams are 62-3 when leading at halftime and are 66-2 when leading after three quarters. Between 2001 and 2004, the Patriots won 38 consecutive games when leading after three quarters and 31 consecutive games when leading at halftime, with both marks setting post-merger NFL records. New England's resiliency was also on display when it went 57 games without losing back-to-back contests from 2002 to 2006, marking the NFL's second longest such streak since 1970.

In addition, the Patriots have maintained their focus throughout the year and have played their best football late in the season. Since 2001, the Patriots hold a 40-8 (.833) overall record in games played on Thanksgiving or later in the NFL season. As the season has gone on, the Patriots have only gotten better, posting a 19-3 (.864) mark in games played on Christmas or later in the NFL season.Belichick returned to the Patriots as head coach after three seasons with the New York Jets (1997-99) as the team's assistant head coach/secondary coach, holding the responsibility of calling the team's defensive plays. In 1998, the Jets surrendered just 266 points, propelling the team to its first division title. After finishing the regular season with a franchise-best 12-4 overall record, as the Jets advanced to the AFC Championship game. Following the season, Belichick filled in for Bill Parcells as the head coach of the AFC's squad in the 1999 Pro Bowl.

Belichick was named head coach of the New York Jets on Feb. 3, 1997, an interim position he held until Parcells was formally announced as head coach a week later. During that week, Belichick hired Scott Pioli as the team's director of pro personnel. After Parcells was named head coach, Belichick became the assistant head coach/secondary coach. In his first season with the Jets, his defense surrendered just 287 points, an average of 17.9 points per game, marking a significant 10.5-point improvement per game from 1996.Patriots fans witnessed Belichick's impact on a team firsthand in 1996 when he joined the Patriots after five seasons as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. That year, the Patriots claimed their first division title in 10 years with an 11-5 record and won their first two playoff games at Foxboro Stadium to advance to Super Bowl XXXI. The 1996 Patriots defense allowed just 19.6 points per game and forced 34 turnovers, second in the AFC. In two playoff games, the defense allowed just nine points combined, propelling the Patriots to a berth in Super Bowl XXXI against Green Bay.

Prior to joining the Patriots, Belichick spent five seasons (1991-95) rebuilding the Cleveland Browns, whose 3-13 finish in 1990 was the worst in the history of the franchise. By 1994, the Browns were again one of NFL's best teams, boasting the second-best record in the AFC. Belichick's first head coaching opportunity came following the 1990 season, when his defensive efforts with the New York Giants helped claim a second Super Bowl title in five years. At the age of 38, he became the NFL's youngest head coach. In his first season, Belichick began the rebuilding process by restoring the foundation of the aging squad he inherited. In 1991, the Browns improved to 6-10 and played in 11 games that were decided by a touchdown or less.

Following back-to-back 7-9 campaigns in 1992 and 1993, the Browns improved to 11-5 in 1994, a mark that is still tied for the second highest victory total in the 58-year history of the Browns franchise. The 1994 squad was defined by its defense, which allowed a league-low 204 points. In their return to the playoffs, the Browns eliminated Parcells' Patriots, 20-13, in a first-round wild-card game on New Year's Day 1995.

The 1995 season was disrupted by the mid-season announcement that the Cleveland Browns franchise would be moved to Baltimore at the conclusion of the campaign. The announcement caused an undeniable mid-season distraction resulting in a 5- 11 finish. Belichick did not accompany the franchise's move to Baltimore after the 1995 season. Why did you move them Modell?

Belichick began his coaching career after graduating from Wesleyan University and accepting a staff assistant position with the Baltimore Colts in 1975. At the age of 23, he was named special assistant to Head Coach Ted Marchibroda. In 1976, Belichick joined Rick Forzano's staff with the Detroit Lions as an assistant special teams coach. The following year, he was given his first positional coaching assignment as the Lions' tight ends and receivers coach. In 1978, Denver Broncos Head Coach Red Miller hired Belichick as the assistant special teams coach and assistant to defensive coordinator Joe Collier. In 1979, Belichick joined Ray Perkins' staff with the New York Giants as a defensive assistant and special teams coach, launching a 12-year tenure with the Giants. After the 1980 campaign, he drew the added responsibility of coaching the Giants linebackers. In 1983, he began coordinating the defense on Bill Parcells' staff and continued coaching the linebackers, a unit that would become known as one of the most dominant groups of all-time. He was officially appointed defensive coordinator in 1985, a position he held for the next six seasons. During his time as the Giants' defensive signal caller, his units were never ranked lower than 11th in the NFL and finished as high as second in the league three times, including the Super Bowl seasons of 1986 and 1990. His contributions with the Giants throughout the 1980s brought him national recognition as one of the best young assistant coaches in the NFL.

Seven former assistant coaches on Coach Belichick's staffs in Cleveland or New England have gone on to become head coaches at the NFL or collegiate level. Two current NFL head coaches worked on Belichick staffs: Cleveland's Romeo Crennel and the New York Jets' Eric Mangini. Additionally, five college head coaches were hired as assistants by Belichick: Notre Dame's Charlie Weis, Alabama's Nick Saban, Iowa's Kirk Ferentz, Fresno State's Pat Hill and Virginia's Al Groh.

Lets show SOME sportsmanship
Nov 19, 2007 | 11:08AM | report this
he The New England Patriots are showing no mercy to any opponent, not even the Buffalo Bills, a team for which coach Bill Belichick has publicly expressed affection.Scoring touchdowns on their first seven offensive possessions and getting the eighth on a turnover, the Patriots won their 10th straight game, routing Buffalo 56-10 Sunday night. Brady and Moss, ready to rewrite the NFL record books, led the romp.Brady was 31-for-39 for 373 yards with five TD passes, four to Moss, as New England became the 10th team since 1970 to start a season 10-0. The way they played, they appear unbeatable, and barring injury are an excellent bet to become the NFL's first perfect team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins

"Can this offense play any better? Of course we can," said Moss. "With all 11 guys executing, there's no telling what we can do."They've already done plenty. It was the ninth time in 10 games New England won by more than 17 points and the ninth time it scored more than 34 points. The Patriots did it coming off a bye week after their only close game of the season, a 24-20 win in Indianapolis in which they came back from a 10-point deficit with less than 10 minutes left. They also did it against a Buffalo team that came in 5-4 with four straight wins.

Brady, who has yet to throw fewer than three touchdown passes in a game, increased his TD passes to 38, just 11 short of Peyton Manning's single-season record, set in 2004. Moss' four TD catches gave him 16 for the season, six short of the record set by Jerry Rice in 1987."They are magnificent. They really are," said Buffalo president Marv Levy, who coached the Jim Kelly-led Bills that went to four Super Bowls between 1990-93 and, at the time, set the standard for offensive excellence. On New England's last two offensive TD drives, the Patriots went for it on fourth down as the Buffalo crowd shouted obscenities clearly aimed at Belichick. Eckel, a fourth-string running back who also scored a rub-it-in TD against Dallas, was a part of the later scores.

After the first week of the season, Belichick was fined $500,000 after illegal tapes of the New York Jets defense were confiscated by the NFL. The team was fined $250,000 and will forfeit a first-round draft pick.Since then, Belichick seems on a mission to demonstrate his team has no need to break the rules, several times seeming to run up the score. After their bye week, he drove his players even harder."Coach says he puts you out there to score when you touch it," Brady said. "He doesn't put you out there to punt."Belichick also is driving his stars hard, including Brady and Moss, who he described after the game as "pretty good players.""He put that humble pie on us. Actually, it was a humble pie casserole; it wasn't really a pie," Moss said. "Just being the coach that he is and not letting us get too ahead of ourselves, coming off a bye."Brady said the same.
"It's just the way he coaches," Brady said of Belichick. "There's never anything that's good enough. After a while you just get sick of it. You say, 'Enough, Coach.' We've taken beating after beating. It helps us get in the right frame of mind."

Belichick finally took out Brady and Moss with a little less than 11 minutes left in this game. Perhaps because of the affection he expressed before the game for Buffalo coach #### Jauron, he declined to go for a fourth-and-inches from the Buffalo 30 with 3:56 left, choosing to punt instead."I have no problem with that," Jauron said of the earlier fourth-down tries. "It's our job to stop it."The 56 points were the most by a road team since 1973. And the 46 points was the worst margin of defeat for Buffalo, three points worse than a loss to Baltimore in 1970.It came on a night in which Buffalo fans were encouraged by a taped video on the message board before the game from Kevin Everett, the tight end who suffered a severe spinal injury in the opening game.

"One of the reasons this is a positive is that he's continued to improve," Jauron said of Everett. "He's gotten better. It's been a big plus for us and that he has gotten as far as he has.As with most New England games in 2007, this was no contest from the start after Randall #### intercepted J.P. Losman's pass on the fourth play from scrimmage to set up a 6-yard TD run by Laurence Maroney. By halftime it was 35-7 on TD passes of 43, 16, 6 and 17 yards to Moss. The sixth score came on a 3-yard pass from Brady to Benjamin Watson on a fourth-down play at the start of third quarter. After Rian Lindell's 52-yard field goal made it 42-10, New England scored another touchdown on fourth-string running back Kyle Eckel's 1-yard run after the Patriots once again had gone for it on fourth down, converting on a 3-yard pass from Brady to Moss.

The New England defense finished it off when Ellis Hobbs returned Dwayne Wright's fumble 35 yards for a score. The ball was knocked from Wright's arms by James Sanders and bounced straight to Hobbs.Moss finished with 10 receptions for 128 yards."I'm just in a good situation," said Moss, obtained for a fourth-round pick after two miserable seasons in Oakland. "I'm in a dream. It's too good to be true. I'm with the Patriots. It was left for Losman to define the rout and the way New England has played just about everyone."We felt like we were playing catch-up all day," he said. "But then everyone seems to feel like that against them."Moss broke Stanley Morgan's Patriots record of 13 touchdown catches in a season. He also became the first Patriot to go over 1,000 yards receiving since Troy Brown in 2001. ... Maroney became the 19th member of the Patriots to score a touchdown this season. ... Buffalo's touchdown came on a 47-yard pass from Losman to Roscoe Parrish. Their deepest penetration in the game was to the New England 28 at the end of the game.http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80

Blogger Compition:Pats 16-0 or Phins 0-16
Oct 25, 2007 | 2:18PM | report this

This has not been a normal year so far in the NFL. Two records could be broken in one season. The Patriots could be the first team to have 16-0 regular season record, and the Miami Dolphins could be the first team to go 0-16. So which one will break a record? Will they both?

Can Patriots go 16-0?

That is what almost everyone wants to know. But before you can answer that question, you have to look at the history of the undefeated teams. In the NFL, there has only been one team to win every single regular season game. The Miami Dolphins went 14-0 in 1972 and later on won the Super Bowl. It always occurs to people that maybe if they had played 16 games they could have lost one of them and not be undefeated. Even if they did play 16 regular season games if you look at there total record, 17-0, they still would havehttp://www.onlinesports.com/images/mm-jrsydol535.gif been 16-0. So, what does New England have to do to go 16-0? They have to start running the ball more often. As the snow and the cold weather come along, passing becomes tougher and tougher. They do have a very good rushing attack and are ranked seventh in rushing yards per game. So would it really hurt them to hand it off maybe five more times a game? The answer is no. It is a very important that they start to work on running the ball more in games, especially because they play in the northeast region of the United States where it can be very cold and hard to pass the ball. If you are a Patriots fan, there is good news. Belichick likes to run the ball. Expect to see Brady's numbers go down as the season goes on too. In all the commotion this subject has put up though, Bill Belichick doesn't care. I don't blame him for it. He doesn't want to think of going undefeated, he just wants to his fourth Super Bowl ring. He could care less what his record is just that he is in the playoffs and has a chance to win the Championship. Even if he doesn't care, most everyone else does. The Miami Dolphins had 24 rushing Touchdowns and a pro bowl running back. The Patriots have Tom Brady and Randy Moss, enough said. As far as their schedule goes, they have two games that could knock them off. One of them is the highly anticipated Colts game where both teams could go in undefeated and only one will come out without a loss. The other game, a game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their run defense will be truly be tested against them as the Steelers are ranked second in rush yards per game.

Will the Dolphins go 0-16?

No team has ever been bad enough to not win any games in a season. This years Miami Dolphins are on their way. With a new head coach and many bad offseason decisions, they now find themselves at the bottom in the AFC. So what did they do wrong this offseason? Let go of Wes Welker, not draft a quarterback (Brady Quinn) and during this season Chris Chambers. Injuries are also have been a big problem. Losing Trent Green and Zach Thomas to a concussion were the two major ones as now Cleo Lemon is the quarterback and is struggling. Even though Thomas was back, he looks slower and will be out next week with a neck injury. The defense is aging and slowing down so that the offense has to score more than 30 points if they want to win. That is how you go 0-16, trying to outscore opponents instead of stopping them with your defense and being able to run the ball more because you have a lead. The more Cleo Lemon has to throw the ball, the closer the 2007 0-7 Miami
The image “http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/20060831/cleovert_83556.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Dolphins are to 0-16. The defense has to get get ball to the offense and Ronnie Brown with the lead. Their schedule isn't the easiest either:

Date Opponent

8 Sun. Oct 28 Giants

10 Sun. Nov 11 Bills
11 Sun. Nov 18 @ Eagles
12 Mon. Nov 26 @ Steelers
13 Sun. Dec 2 Jets
14 Sun. Dec 9 @ Bills
15 Sun. Dec 16 Ravens
16 Sun. Dec 23 @ Patriots

17 Sun. Dec 30 Bengals

I do think that there are some wins in this schedule, though. They play the 2-4 Bills two more times. The 1-6 Jets one more time and the 2-4 Bengals once. They could win any of those three games, but, nobody said it would be easy.

Who is more likely to break a record?

It is very hard to go against a good team like Patriots and especially hard to go against Tom Brady http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Tom-Brady---Super-Bowl-XXXIX---Throwing-Photograph-C12188581.jpegbut the question is who is more likely to break a record. I don't think the Miami Dolphins will go 0-16 and I don't think the Patriots will go 16-0. It is more likely that the Patriots will go 16-0 though, because the Dolphins just won't go 0-16. The Miami Dolphins can sneak up on everybody, but the Patriots will always be the number 1 target for every team. They'll all want to knock them off. One more reason that I think the Dolphins are less likely to go 0-16 is they don't have any pressure on them. They can just go out every week and have fun. Sometimes that is the most important part of winning. If you look at the Patriots chances of going 16-0, there higher than the Dolphins going 0-16, but still aren't very high. They have the Colts next week and the Steelers a little later on. If the Pats main focus becomes going 16-0 (which it won't) then they can't look past anybody. They must treat every week like the Super Bowl. In the end, though, it doesn't matter to New England what their record at the end of the season is, just that they have another ring. So, the Patriots are more likely to go 16-0 than the Dolphins to go 0-16.

How good are they? Check it out.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Browns, Patroits preview
Oct 06, 2007 | 6:35AM | report this

The Browns play at Gillette Stadium this week, and it should be interesting. The Browns are HUGE under dogs going into this game, but I think it could be very close. The Browns gave up 418 yards to the Ravens. Statistically, it was not pretty, but they accomplished their goal of not letting the receivers get behind them. Matt Stover attempted four field goals and missed wide right from 46 and 41 yards. Playing the same bend-but-don't-break defense against the Patriots would give the Browns their best chance of winning, but it will not be as easy. Randy Moss is a more difficult challenge for Leigh Bodden, but the mission is the same -- don't let the receivers get behind the safeties. Bodden kept the play in front of him last week and intercepted a pass from Steve McNair. The Browns don't have the balance on offense, or quarterback play, to put together consistent long scoring drives. Last week's win over the Ravens included rushing for just a 3.3-yard average and Derek Anderson completed just 10 passes. One of those passes was a 78-yard touchdown to Braylon Edwards. Tight end Kellen Winslow set up another score with a 25-yard catch and a second-half field goal with a 49-yard reception. Take away the big plays and the Browns had little continuity on offense against the solid Ravens defense. This will the first game for Browns coach Romeo Crennel against New England, where he was defensive line coach from 1993-96 and defensive coordinator under Belichick from 2001-2004.Possibly more surprising than the Patriots' perfect start is Cleveland splitting its first four games. The Browns haven't been above .500 after their first five game since they were 3-2 in 2001.If not for a last-second blocked field goal against Oakland on Sept. 23, Cleveland could be 3-1 and tied for first in the AFC North.Whatever quarterback controversy existed in Cleveland earlier this season has been put to rest by, Derek Anderson who has thrown for 964 yards and ranks fourth in the NFL with nine TD passes.Anderson threw for two touchdowns and Jamal Lewis ran for one against his former team as the Browns surprised visiting Baltimore 27-13 on Sunday.Anderson has a pair of outstanding targets in Braylon Edwards and tight end Kellen Winslow The two combined for seven catches for 193 yards and a touchdown against the Ravens."We're going to turn some heads this year," Winslow said.A high-scoring offense is a rarity for the Browns, who haven't had an offense finish a season ranked in the league's top 15 since 1987.This season, Cleveland is 11th in total offense, 10th in passing and 15th in rushing. The Browns have scored 24 or more points in three straight games for the first time since 1989."This year, offensively speaking, we believe we can bounce back from anything," center Hank Fraley said. "Anything that goes bad, we can overcome it."Cleveland's defense, however, ranks 31st in yards allowed (427.5 per game) and will be facing a versatile and explosive Patriots offense.New England has won three straight and five of the last six meetings against Cleveland. The Browns haven't won a road game against the Patriots since Oct. 25, 1992. Cleveland ends their losing streak against New England on the road. Shootout, Browns 49 Patriots 42.
