Before I start with this, I have to check again. Can OSU have it that easy?
Ok I'm sure of it now. Missouri lost. The "#1 team" in the country lost. They lost to #9 Oklahoma. The most overrated team in the country beat Missouri. The score was Oklahoma 38, Missouri 17. Blowout. Before the game, when asked how he feels about getting another win Missouri's defensive tackle Lorenzo Williams said "It's not that hard really. It's what we've been doing all year,As captains, we don't have a problem with it. It's the younger guys who
are saying, 'We're No. 1 ranked, we have a chance to do this, a chance
to do that,' those are the guys you've got to get to quick. I think we
kind of snubbed it ... right after the (Kansas) game. As much as we put
into the KU game, we've got to put more into OU." Well they failed to put more into OU. When you score 36 against Kansas and 17 against OU, that isn't really putting more in. Last time I checked, when you score 19 fewer points than only a week before, I think that is just giving up. It's one thing when you lose to Oklahoma once. But as a number one ranked team, You can't lose twice. When you lose to a team twice in a season, forget about BCS, you have to cross your fingers to get in a bowl period. Now I'm not saying Missouri doesn't have a good offense. When your ranked 10 in points per game, out of over 200 College Football Division 1 schools that's pretty good. And when your fifth in total yards per game, that ain't bad either. There D stunk. I am going to bring out the stats. 96th in points per game, 134th in yards given up per game. 214 in passing yards given up per game.So if Missouri wants another chance at the BCS Title, better get recruiting Defensive Backs. Coming into this season all you heard about was "can USC go undefeated?" Well, since their loss to Stanford, they have gone downhill. Way downhill. After USC lost their hope of going undefeated, then it was all about LSU, and how great their defense is. Now, since their recent loss to Kentucky, the number one team has been Ohio State. Many people think that Ohio State doesn't deserve to be #1. All they have had to play were a couple of small schools and some "weak" teams from the Big Ten. Well, I'm here to tell yo today that Ohio State does deserve to be at the top of the polls.
Is Ohio State here by default?
The Buckeyes were not in the top five to start the season. So what? This team is having a great year so far. They have arguably the best Defense in the league. They are first in points allowed per game and yards given up per game. Sixth in rushing Defense and fifth in passing defense. They are averaging more than 34 points per game and on average are out scoring their opponents by about 25 points per game. Now, I'm not as stupid to say that if USC and LSU were still undefeated Ohio State would be at the top of the BCS polls, but what are you going to do about those other teams losing. All Ohio State and its players can do is win the games that they are scheduled to play.
Will they close out another undefeated season?
Yes. They do still have Wisconsin and Michigan to play but this teams defense is to good. OSU is going to the BCS Championship and will play "surprise!" Oregon. I have watched this team all year and like the team they have.

ONES: Stanford baby. Great game by the Cardinals. If you haven't heard, The Stanford Cardinals upset #2 USC. The final was 24-23. USC turned the ball over 5 times, and gave up 17 fourth quarter points. Stanford got a lead on a fourth and goal ten-yard touchdown pass to Mark Bradford. It happened after John David Booty interception. The upset gives LSU a big lead in the polls. NEXT GAME: vs Arizona State.
TWOS: The Rockies swept the Phillies after a 2-1 battle at Coors Field. Colorado had 9 hits of the Philadelphia pitching staff, but only scored two runs? Still if your the Rockies,congratulations on winning your first ever playoff series. This team better be ready, or Arizona could bite them, and poison them fast. Yorvit Torrealba beware, these Diamondbacks steal a lot.
THREES: Cubs who? What a bad series played by the Cubs. Yes Yes. The Diamondbacks are for real. But come on! The Cubs handed Arizona the series on a golden platter. They didn't score as many runs in the entire series as the Arizona Diamondbacks scored last night. Its either the Diamondbacks are the best in the National League, or the Cubbies just stink so bad they made this pitching staff look like Hall of Famers. (A place where only Brandon Webb may be at the end of his career.) Lou Piniella, get your team to play together, and get them to stop with those ugly shallow fly ball swings.
TO'S:LSU may have won, but they made some risky calls along the way. Inside their twenty, they went for the first on fourth down three times. One of those times it was to win the game. They were down 3 points, and instead of kicking a field goal they went for it. Yes, they got it, but what would have happened if they lost because of that decision. How smart would they have looked then? Thats why they get the stupid award. A risky call that they got lucky on. Boo LSU!
TOO'S: Wisconsin? Are you there? Anybody home? No? Illinois beat Wisconsin in Champagne yesterday by a total of 31-26. Illinois ran all over the Badgers for over 280 yards. This is Illinois biggest upset since 1991, when they beat #5 USC. They deserved this win because they outplayed the Badgers. Illinois 5-1? wow great job coach Ron Zook. National Championship? Yes? No?
