What in the world of sports has gotten you so upset that you want to call _____________ out on it? The object of your ire can be a player, coach, team, owner, league, fans, or idea. Here in this forum, you can throw so-and-so under the Bus. (The young lady has the week off tonight) I have a few.
NFL
Washington Redskins: they allowed one of the worst teams in the league to win their FIRST game of the season. And the RAMS were the ROAD team. If you're a playoff team, you don't allow a team like the Rams to come in and do you in your own crib. Totally inexcusable. And the Redskins committed their first turnovers of the season. The Redskins get thrown under the Bus.
Minnesota Vikings: yes, they won, but they had to beat the WORST TEAM in the NFL in the Detroit Lions in the last few seconds of the game! You let a sorry team like the Lions hang around for the whole game and NEARLY WIN? And at home, no less? You should have beat them 34-7 at least. Under the Bus you go!
Oakland Raiders: so much for opening the Tom Cable Era with a ####. More like a whimper. I think the Raiders quit from the time they landed in New Orleans. At least under Kiffin, they played hard. They will NEVER be good until Al Davis passes from the scene. (Even then, he'll be ruling the Raiders from the grave) Al, how do you like your team now? Under the Bus they go!
Adam "Pacman" Jones: the Cowboys' CB gave the team another black eye to deal with when he and his bodyguard got in a fight. Dude, stay down. You're fortunate that the bodyguard is going to fall on the sword for you. But here, you get thrown Under The Bus.
NASCAR
Carl Edwards: even though he and Kevin Harvick made nice after the drivers' meeting prior to the Cup race last night, he gets thrown under the Bus for barging into Harvick's garage stall and spoiling for a fight. A brief scuffle ensued before it was broken up by members of Harvick's Nationwide pit crew.
MLB
Philadelphia Phillies: they've been throwing at Dodgers' hitters with impunity throughout the NLCS. Finally, Hiroki Kuroda took matters into his own hands when he threw a foot above Shane Victorino's head. Obviously, it was in retaliation. After Victorino grounded out, he nearly caused a bench-clearing brawl when he glared and gestured to Kuroda. ManRam wanted a piece of Victorino, but was held back by four Dodgers. Victorino gets thrown Under The Bus for not taking it like a man and nearly causing a brawl. Brett Myers gets thrown under the Bus for throwing behind ManRam in Game 2.
Those are my nominees for the week! Feel free to come in with yours!
I like the way Victorino handled the situation. You could see the way he was gesturing when it all happened that he KNEW why he was being thrown at. He was holding his hands out towards the catcher as if to say "I understand this is a man's game, so let's be men about it". Had the situation resulted in a brawl, it would have been a different story, but I interpreted the situation as "I don't want to fight, but if you're going to hit me, don't jepordize my career for it".
is it possible to throw my girlfriend under the bus for asking me to visit her family Saturday night for thanksgiving dinner (Canada remember), thus making me miss the second biggest motorsport weeked of the year?
I'm going to get payback when she visits me next though....got some races all lined that she's going to watch with me, lol
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. gets thrown under the bus for his cheap shot on Scott Speed. Of course, Scott gets to drive the bus because he already has a Cup ride lined up for next year.
Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa get thrown under the bus for "driving unbecoming of a potential WDC," and the stewards for the Japanese GP can go with them for their bogus penalty on Sebastian Bourdais.

Jon - Throw the Viqueens under the bus a second time for not only winning in the last seconds, but only getting in field goal range because of a bogus pass interference call on Leigh Bodden. Would have been 3rd and 20 in their own territory have it not been called.
Stevo, you're right! Dude has some serious intelligence issues; namely he's not smart.
John6th, everyone but Kevin Williams. Williams had four sacks and eight tackles and he'll probably get NFC defensive player of the week.
Plutonium, I think Victorino seeking out the home plate umpire was okay, but when he glared and gestured to Kuroda, the Dodgers took it as a sign to fight. And they were ready to go. Had he complained to the first base umpire instead, the benches don't clear.
Raiderslong, I feel ya there. Perhaps Al's son Mark is the total opposite of his father. But as Al said recently, his mother lived to be 103 and he intends to live longer than her. (She passed away a few years ago)
Tez, yes it is. I won't tell her! When Homestead comes around, don't answer your phone, email, carrier pigeon, etc. There ya go, have her watch racing with ya!
RA6AN and Jumping Pig, I think this is a first for this blog: having each of the two combatants being thrown under the Bus simultaneously! I'll settle this: they BOTH get thrown under, and ARCA champion Justin Allmaier gets to drive the bus! Hamilton, Massa, and the stewards of the Japanese GP all get thrown under, and Sebastian Bourdais drives the Bus.
Empty, I'd throw the officials under the Bus for that bogus PI call that set up the GWFG. The Vikes got thrown under for not blowing out the Lions at home--they should have won by at least 2 TDs.
Pliladelphia Fans should be banned from every sporting venue throughout the nation. I for one will treat every philly fan in kind anytime I am so unfortunate to see one!!! With thier front office acting as if it is no big deal for thier fans to behave in such a manner!!! They should all be drug into the streets and treated in exactly the same manner as the fans in thew stands.....you are all scum and for those who read this and take offense you are just as bad for witnessing such events and doing nothing to stop it so you are all truly scum!!!!!
I am from Central California. I am passionate about sports, particularly the NFL and NASCAR. My favorite teams are: Panthers (NFL), Lakers (NBA), Flyers (NHL), and Dodgers (MLB). I am also a Kevin Harvick fan in NASCAR. I am a Fresno State honk. (I'll admit it!) And I am also a fan of MMA. Jackie Robinson to this day represents what is right about baseball. I also enjoy discussing the relevant (and sometimes irrelevant) issues of the day pertaining to sports. I will never understand why televised poker is so popular. Who wants to see a bunch of people sitting around a table, muttering to themselves? I do my best to keep politics out of my sports discussions. That is why I recently created a nonsports blog, cencalscribe. blogspot.com. That is where I post my nonsports topics.
