Scanning the world of sports, one can see many malcontents, miscreants, ingrates, and other bad seeds. As a fan, do you get so pissed off that you just want to VENT? Well here’s your chance to vent. While I gear this column towards the NFL, I welcome fans of all sports to throw the object of your ire Under The Bus (Jerome Bettis Limited Edition, 850 hp). I have some nominees.
NFL
Baltimore Ravens: I’ll laugh at you after I throw you under the bus. This team is PATHETIC. You LOST to a winless team!! You deserve to be called the Baltimore Canaries after that “effort”. AND YOU RUINED MY CHANCE TO SEE A TEAM GO WINLESS!!!! UNDER THE BUS YOU GO!!!
Cincinnati Bengals: it’s OVER for you. Time to blow this team up and start over. As much as I like Chad Johnson, his heart wasn’t in the game against San Francisco. Trade him while he has high trade value and get extra draft picks.
Detroit LLLLLLLLLLLions: you have golfing on the brain. Giving up 51 points to San Diego? That’s the sign of a team that has quit. The Dolphins have a WORSE record than you, yet they haven’t QUIT. So under the Bus you go.
NBA
Golden State Warriors: yes, you beat the Lakers the other night in front of the largest crowd to see a basketball game in California. Good win. But don’t act like you won the NBA championship in mid-December. So Under The Bus you go!
MLB
Sen. George Mitchell (D-Maine): what a colossal waste of money! And for what? To make you look important? While I’m at it, I’ll throw the Commissioner under the bus as well.
Those are my nominees for this week. Come on in with your nominees!!
Thank you for your comments. Kentucky clearly isn't where they used to be. I heard someone commenting on Saturday that they are a middle of the road SEC team. That being said, congrats on the UAB win over the Wildcats.
I would throw George Mitchell under the bus for trying to cover Seligs ####. I would throw Selig under the bus for not having the guts to stand up like a man. I'd throw all the espn analist under the bus for sitting on the fence after the report came out. I'd throw that list under the bus for being to little to late. I'd throw Clemens under the bus for acting like a big man when he threw that bat at Piazza Yeah now we know he was doing roids. I'd throw Pettite under the bus but I'd wait two days. I'd throw the judge who gave that stooly who ratted out Mike Vick under the bus for only giving that fu--stain 2months. I'd drag myself out from under the bus get on tear the mirrors off so I would never have to look back.
Hey MoonDogLeft, T.O. was bumping his gums a bit much, then the Eagles shut him down. As for Romo, it was understandable he was distracted--if you can bag a hottie like Jessica Simpson, you would be distracted, too.
SportsLoverGoddess, the way this is transpiring, Vick won't be in the NFL again. He still has to face state charges in Virginia.
Clintandjan, at this point, I'd throw anyone and everyone involved with the Mitchell Report under the bus. Good point you made about Selig. He should step down.
I nomimate the Ford family:
The car company and team they own share something in common...week after week the result is a poor quality product built with little effort. Please sell the team and the company to save what is left of Detroit.

DTW, good nomination. I hadn't thought of nominating Ford vehicles to be thrown under the bus. Maybe I'll have to reconsider.
dehbashi, I've thrown the Falcons under the bus enough this year. Considering what they've gone through, I wouldn't wish that on any franchise. Okay, the Falcons' special teams can be thrown under the bus.
Dwindy1, any time. Trust me, as a Panthers' fan, I was GLAD to see the Cats beat the Hawks! That's why I didn't include the Seahawks!
I am from Central California. I am passionate about sports, particularly the NFL and NASCAR. My favorite teams are: Panthers (NFL), Lakers (NBA), Flyers (NHL), and Dodgers (MLB). I am also a Kevin Harvick fan in NASCAR. I am a Fresno State honk. (I'll admit it!) And I am also a fan of MMA. Jackie Robinson to this day represents what is right about baseball. I also enjoy discussing the relevant (and sometimes irrelevant) issues of the day pertaining to sports. I will never understand why televised poker is so popular. Who wants to see a bunch of people sitting around a table, muttering to themselves? I do my best to keep politics out of my sports discussions. That is why I recently created a nonsports blog, cencalscribe. blogspot.com. That is where I post my nonsports topics.
