Why the Raiders Al Davis is good for some NFL Fans
Oct 02, 2008 | 12:10AM | report this

IF YOUR A NFL FAN OF SOME OF THE MORE STRUGGLING FRANCHISES RIGHT NOW (i.e. Chiefs, Lions, Rams, Bengals, Cardinals) you can find comfort in the fact that your favorite team is no where near the embarassing debacle of the AL DAVIS led Oakland Raiders

The aforementioned teams all have major ownership, coaching and on the field personnel decision deficiencies but none of it compares to the Old-Decrepit Dictator Al Davis and the once proud franchise that he's now digging in to the ground. He's done a lot for the league but that was 40 years ago, in the last 20 years he's been a nuisance and a 'bitter fool' that is out of touch with todays football game and the business world in general. I actually feel sorry for Raider fans...I thought I would never say that!!!

So CHIEFS, LIONS, RAMS, BENGALS & CARDINAL fans there is a light at the end of that dark NFL regular season tunnel, combined your teams probably won't win more than 20-25 games this season but look at this way, you won't have to rely on an owner like Al Davis next offseason to lead and encourage a positive turn-around. He'll  be out in the Bay area of California holding a press conference about the firing of his latest head coach, the only difference this time--he'll be firing himself
