Well Round 1 is over and your voice was heard, as Jennifer Garner and Gwen Stefani moved on fairly easily.  And with that, we get ready for the semi finals.  First we have:

As we head into the weekend, we look at the lighter side of sports and match up two high profile individuals whose lives have taken yet another, to them a least, most unexpected turn of events…

Well, a new week is upon us and with that, the next event in the Tale of the Tape 2008 Best of... This week, the very underrated 'Abs' competion where 6 lovely ladies on whose stomach you could grate cheese with will do battle...

#1 seed Kate Hudson and #2 seed Keira Knightley have a bye, so this week we have:

... followed by #4 seed Eva Longoria vs. #5 seed Gwen Stefani

 

So who moves on and who goes on? As always, the answer is up to you...

Well, it is all over but the crying… After withstanding an early challenge, Stacey Kiebler delivers her second KO of the competition and is easily the winner of the 2008 ToTT Best of… Legs competition.

 

Our undercover reporters tells us that Stacey extends her deepest thanks and is sorry she cannot be here to accept the trophy in person.  And so are we... Tune in next week for event #3 in the Best of... competition, when we make a u-turn back up and stop at the very underrated section, Midriff... And stay alert for more posts throughout the week on various important matchups (Simpson vs. Wilkinson, Obama vs. Palin)

With all the votes casted, #2  seed Stacey Kiebler delivered a shutout win over #3 seed Jennifer Aniston, ala Johan Santana’s extraordinary performance for the Mets on Saturday… While #4 seed Katharine McPhee ran off with an early lead, saw it vanish with a later rally by #1 seed Charlize Theron, then eked out a late win with a last minute vote for the upset win, kind of like the agonizing Mets – Marlins game went Sunday…

 

So the Final is now set with #2 seed Stacey Kiebler taking on #4 seed Katharine McPhee…

 

 

 

 

 So who will be the 2008 ToTT Best of… Legs winner?  It is all up to you….And if anyone brings up the Mets in this site (aside from my other post) before the World Series are over, they will be banned for life!

Time to the turn the page.  Baseball is done and once again the Mets came in first place but went out otherwise… (Yes, the only team in MLB to be in first place entering each of the last 3 September s)… So it’s time to turn the page…

 

Goodbye Pedro Martinez, Scott Schoenweiss, Aaron Heilman, Luis Castillo, Marlon Anderson, Orlando Hernandez, Moises Alou (wait, was he on the team?) and Damion Easley … even Carlos Delgado, our MVP.  And I do not say so sarcastically or with bitterness.  The last few years have been fun, but also cruel, so its time to move on and turn the page…  Its finally clear that this team is just one more small tweak or final veteran addition away.

 

Look forward to seeing more of you soon Jon Niese, Dan Murphy, Bobby Parnell, Eddie Kunz and Nick Evans.  Look forward to a new face at first and second and left… And every time the bullpen door opens… Your time is finally here.  See in March.

 

Look forward to your continued presence David Wright, Johan Santana, Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran.  You know what you need to do… See in March as well.

 

And with that, I hope all of us Mets fan can finally turn the page on the last three years.  We may have cheered and yelled, booed and screamed… but hey, we’re fans.  That’s what we do.  And we’ll be back in March and start reading a new page…
