The biggest story in sports today is not Mike Vick, Barry Bonds or Mark mcGuire.  As for steroids, from what I have seen, heard and read the people who use these substances will pay the price later in life. 

As I see it,a person has a right to damage their bodies and accept premature death, if fame and notoriety means this much so be it.  What these people do effects themselves and maybe their team. 

They have crucified Bonds and Vick on a daily basis, seems Mark McGuire has been given a pass for his use of steroids.  Last I heard Bonds and McGuire were both accused of using steriods, how is it we only hear boos for Barry?  This alone tells much. 

There is no conversation on talk radio or TV, i.e. sports center, fox sports, etc. concerning the NBA referee gambling scandal.  This referee brings attention in a negative light  to all sports officials  across the board yet again you don't hear one word in the electronic media.   

This is about the survival of a league who's ratings are dropping yearly.  I call my local sports talk shows to bring this issue to the fore front, seems no one has the stomach to discuss  NBA officials gambling.   They would rather vilify Vick and Bonds. go figure. 

No one is sure that other referees are not involved.  Just because David Stern says this is an isolated case,  how does he know and how can he prove this?  This is probably bigger than they want to admit.  Again, I ask the question, why no discussion on this issue?

If this were pro football would this story be as quiet?  Heck no. Does this mean the NBA is truly in trouble when no one seems to care about a scandal of this magnitude? 

This is not only about the NBA, it concerns all sports officials across the board.  The question will be, can you trust any calls they make from this point on. 

I can only wait for the first questionable call in any sport, that official will be investigated over and over for their call or lack there of.  This won't be pretty in the months to come.
