It's less than three weeks until the (presumably) epic showdown between Ohio State and Michigan. USC's 33-31 loss at Oregon State makes it even more likely that, in the event of a close game, the two Big Ten powers could face off twice this season-on Nov. 18 in Columbus, and again on Jan. 8 in Tempe for the naitonal title.
I know this is A dumb question...But do u think LSU is gonna have a chance to play in the SEC championship?...They have 4 games left and they r all conference games...If they win all of those..then i say they have a chance...But idk..lol..
Well, anything's possible, I guess. The Tigers are 2-2 in the SEC west with games left at Tennessee, at home against Alabama and Ole Miss and at Arkansas in their last regular season game. LSU would need some help. They'd have to win out and have Arkansas lose two games. Auburn would have to lose two games, as well, since they sit at 5-1 in conference and have the head-to-head win over LSU. Arkansas has three toughies left (at S. Carolina Saturday, at Tennessee Nov. 11 and against LSU on Nov. 25), so it's possible they could drop those games, I see the Hogs going 1-2, which would help the Tigers out somewhat. The Auburn part of the problem is difficult. Auburn plays Arkansas State, Georgia and Alabama the rest of the way. That's my pick to come out of that division and get to the SEC title game to play against Florida.

Ain't no thang. USC lower than nine? I know they should have won, but they would be lower if not for the comeback they put on. And forget the ND game, the Cal game will tell how good, and how tough, SC is.
Jaycarmel, the Tennesee game with Arkansas is in Fayetteville.
The West tiebreaker is really complicated, because Auburn holds the tiebreaker over LSU, Arkansas holds the tiebreaker over Auburn, and if LSU wins out, they hold the tiebreaker over Arkansas. In a three way tie with all in-division records even, the first non-division tie breaker is common opponents in the East, starting with the highest finish, presumably Florida. So, Auburn would eliminate LSU because they beat Florida and LSU lost to Florida. With two teams left, it goes to head to head, which would be Arkansas because they beat Auburn.
Not confused, Hog. I did get a little headache, though. Haha!!! How are you feeling going into the home stretch? You see McFadden and the rest of those guys winning the division?
Man I hope so. Some tough ones left. The great thing about Arkansas is everyone gets so keyed up to stop McFadden, they forget all about Felix Jones. 67 carries, 661 yards. 9.9 ypc, wow.
You really think Louisville is No. 3 caliber? I've gotten a few chances to watch them recently and haven't been impressed. I'd have them more in the 7 to 8 range. Also, I'd jump Arkansas up to No. 11. Other than that, I think your list is pretty solid.
I'd also question Louisville at 3. They're missing two star players, a qb and an rb. Putting them at three is like saying, if they had their stars they'd be 1 or 2. I'm not sure I can say that about Louisville. Other than that, I like your list. Nice work!
That;s why i have Louisville at three. They've been without their best offensive players for an extended period of time, yet they're still rolling along. What about West Virginia? At least Louisville played a squad (Miami, Fl.) that was supposed to be good this year. The Mountaineers can't really hold their head high on any wins, unless you consider Maryland a good win. The game this Thursday will say a lot about both teams and the Big East as a whole.
Roll Tide!!! ummm..... we're rebuilding this year yeah thats it.
Anyways your top 5 are right on the money, but after that the whole picture gets misconstrewed. Yeah you could argue that auburn is the 2nd best one loss team, and they did beat florida. They also lost to the Hogs. Not that that is a bad thing because, despite being a Tide fan till death even if they go winless for 5 seasons straight, believe that arkansas is highly underrated. and they will win out the rest of the season. the s.c. game should be close but ark will win by 30. Tennessee is the most overated 1 loss team and i dont see them being even close to able to stop ark's running the ball. Lsu is good but also overated. The hogs will play the gators in the sec championship, and will win the sec.
If auburn is supposed to be so good then why did the lose to Ark so badly when the hogs only beat the tide by 1. The tide would have won that game if they had a halfway decent head coach who would relize jimmy johns is running wild on the feild but still insist on playing an overworked darby. Then auburn almost lost to ole miss.
As far as usc goes, it was just a matter of time, they proved this weekend that they are overated, and will finish the season with 2 more losses.
Why does WV keep getting crapped on. georgia was good last year and the mountaineers put a woopin on them. I say give them boys a chance agianst Texas Michigan or Ohio state and let them prove that they are a team to be reckoned with, they are just in a lousy confrence.
Finally, wheres the love for rutgers

Auburn bear LSU and Florida, although the UF game was kind of flooky. That's why they're there.
I don't have the schedule in front of me, but I don't remember the Hogs beating anybody significant until they beat Auburn, and they went from unranked to mid-teens in all the major polls-including mine ;-).
I say SC loses to Cal and MAYBE Oregon and beats UCLA and the Irish, which means they won't go to a BCS game. Too many solid teams.
West Virginia is third in the BCS. I doubt they're being ####ed on. That game Thursday is huge for both the Mountaineers and Louisville. I know you said you'd like to see them against UM or Texas. I wanna see West Virginia and Florida. Slaton/White v. Tebow/Harvin. How sweet would that be.
If Rutgers beats either West Virginia or Louisville, or BOTH of them, they'll get some love.
I like Rutgers, i,ve watched 3 or 4 of there games this year and they are really good. Do all of you guys think Clemson should be 19th after 1 bad game this year. 3 games in 14 days is rough for anyone. And if you go by stats they beat BC, the scoreboard just didn't show it. What do ya'll think?
That was a bad loss to an unranked, albeit tough, Va. Tech squad. Look at it this way, running backs James Davis and C.J. Spiller had 71 yards on 22 carries a week after they combined for 332 yards on 37 carries in a win over a (then) top 15 Georgia Tech squad.
No way WVU vs Florida would be near as good a game as OSU. Tebow is a big joke. hes a big qb who can run. but if you watch any florida games you'll understand that he's not starting, not because chris leak is good, but because thats all he is, is a big qb with a little speed. He throws the ball with less accuracy than brodie croyle did. and thats horrible. Tebow was the biggest joke of this seasons freshmen. I personally am glad florida got him and i would take J.P. Wilson over him and leak anyday

I'm almost positive I had an SI with me in the womb, checking out Ralph Wiley. He's the main reason I ever decided to pursue a career in sportswriting .
I even remember the first highlight I ever saw on SportsCenter. I don't remember who was reading it, but it was Michael Jordan's 63-point game against the Celtics in the Garden in the 86 Playoffs. I've been hooked ever since.
