I'm checking out the sports websites, as I always do every morning, and there were quiet a few topics that caught my eye.  So let's go over them, shall we?

Pacers will seek trade for Ron Artest:  Okay, we all know Artest has the talent to be a force in the NBA, but his elevator doesn't neccessarily go to the top floor.  Now all of a sudden, he tells his local newspaper that he wants to be traded.  I really don't get him.  He's the same dude that wanted to quit playing the NBA so he could promote his rap album, right?!  So, who would possibly think that he is 100% focused and worth a trade to begin with?  Not smart on his part, but we're used to that from him anyway.  Can someone tell me what the you-know-what is going on with his haircut?  What does it say?  I hope he didn't want it to say True Warrior.  He needs to fire his barber.

Falcons stay in playoff hunt with win:  Did anyone really expect Vick and Co. to lose to the Saints?  Is this a shocker to anyone, being as though all you kept hearing about was that Vick was 4-0 against them?  By-the-way, I hope #7 is okay.  Too good of a talent to be sitting on the sidelines.

T.O.'s birthday bash guest list includes NFL stars:  Okay, I know we are sick and tired of T.O. , but this article baffles me.  I don't know what's more disturbing.  The fact that he invited Mike Dtika, Ray Lewis and Donovan McNabb, all co-founders of the I Hate T.O. Club, or the fact that he says this quote, "I'm still a Philadelphia Eagle until the end of the year.  I love Philly, I love my teammates........" Okay, I had to cut off the rest of his quote, because I wanna know what he was smoking before he said that.  Question to T.O.:  Did Drew tell you to say that, too, since he #### everything else up?  Nice comeback

Ex- Coach Reeves takes job with Texans as consultant:  This was a good move by the Texans.  Dan Reeves is a highly respected man in the NFL, still today.  We all know about him going to the Super Bowls, but the fact that he coached one of the greatest QB's in John Elway and is the sole reason why Michael Vick is an Atlanta Falcon gets him the job in Houston.  With that said, that obviously does not mean anything good to Dom Capers.  Not that we thought it would, anywaay.  My guess is either Reeves is the next cach, or he is there to figure out who the next coach will be.  Also, since Reeves has had good QB's in the past, what does that say about Carr's status?  The saga continues................

Two to share Red Sox GM job:  Ummm, okay.  Why does it take two men to do a job that one man had done successfully, by himself?  I'm just curious.  And why are you thinking of bringing that same man back as a team advisor?????  Sox fans, please comment and give me insight into your world.  Inquiring minds want to know.

Turner says he knows his future in Oakland in doubt:  Ahhh, Yeah.....I think we all knew this, Norv.  But maybe we know more then you do.  Most of us know that you won't be back.  Everyone knows how Al Davis is, and Norv Turner knows it, too.  So why he took the job, only to get fired 2 seasons later, is beyond me. 

Heats Van Gundy resigns, Riley takes over:  Okay, my buddy and I were having a conversation about this.  Someone put a reeeeeaaaalll good guilt trip on Mr. Van Gundy. This is what we think happened.  Either his 14-year-old started telling people how he doesn't play a big part in her life because he's hardly home and he got wind of it, or someone became interested in boys sooner then expected.  Either way, I'm all for family.  It just would've been much simpler if he would gotten this guilt trip before the season started.
