Kobe Bryant: MVP ?
May 08, 2008 | 12:56PM | report this

Kobe Bryant won his first MVP but did he diserve it?

No. Why?

Because Chris paul took the hornets a team that hasent done anything in how long and made them major contenders and he DID do it singlehandedly.

Dont even get me started on what Lebron james has done for cleveland in just 5 years. In the playoffs four of those five years. won an eastern conference championship last year and made it to the finals in a shorter time than jordan i might add.

lets not forget about Garnett, pierce allen and the celtics.

so concidering all this why Kobe Bryant ?

Well as far as i can tell it is exactly as some people have said a lifetime achivement award.

Lets not forget also thta he is the NBA's biggest cash cow. there were certainly players that had better seasons than he did and because of that the voting should NOT have been so lop sided. but it was. kinda makes you wonder huh ?

THE PATRIOTS LOSE!!!! THE CHEATERS FINALLY GET WHATS COMING TO THEM !!!!
Feb 03, 2008 | 7:48PM | report this

the new england patriots finally got what was coming to them when the giants beat them in what may be THE GREATEST UPSET IN TH HISTORY OF THE NFL (at least in the superbowl era). While the patriots managed to become the first team since the 72' Dolphins ( a REAL perfect team) to have a perfect regular season, none of that matters now as the perfect season that they tried to cheat there way to is OVER!!!! At long last all of us fans of real NFL teams ( you know, the ones that actually play HONESTLY) can rejoice as the DIRTEST team in the history of the nfl has finally got what was coming to them. Now being the fan of a team that got beat buy the partiots (Browns) you may automatically assume that that is why i hate them, but the patriots beating the browns is not the reason for my burning hatred of the patriots, no it is because they were caught in the act of CHEATING one of the few teams in the history of the NFL to be caught, and yet they were allowed to get away with it. the patriots should have been made to forfiet that game against the jets and any other game they taped especially now if it is proven that they ordered that guy to tape the rams during superbowlXXXVI( which all of you know in your mind that they did). but the NFL being as corrupt as it is, decided nah, a little pocket change fine and some probation or whatever else it was ( i don't remember now). Eli manning was great in this game, granted he did have the sacks and he did throw some bad passes, but in the end he and the giants scored when it counted and came out on top. tom brady couldn't get it done, and maybe now finally the world will comeback to reality and realize what a JOKE he really is. All in all this was  one of the greatest NFL football games i have ever seen and im glad i got to watch it. hats off to Eli Manning and the Giants for doing a service to NFL fans every where and knocking the CHEATERS of their high horse so that tom bradys head can finally shrink back to NORMAL size  and we can quit hearing about the BLEEP cheaters once and for all!!!!.

CHEATERS NEVER WIN!!!! BLEEP THE PATRIOTS!!!!

espn and Sports illustrated: the most biased sports journalism out there
Jul 13, 2007 | 8:05AM | report this

I don'y have a problem with espn or si i really don't, but i swear they are the most biased sports journalists i have ever seen.

Lets take espn for example.

Espn has become bnothing but a bunch of self titled "experts" that really only think they know what there talking about when really all they know is how to brag up certain teams and ignore others no matter how good they are. ill take this by sport.

When espn talks about:

NASCAR-  all they talk about is jeff gordon and the other top three gus no one else

MLB- all they talk about is new york, boston and barry bonds. there are other baseball teams you know.  and nobody cares about a cheating steriod user thats gonna cheat his way to a home run record.

NBA- all they talk about is the west coast, this past years playoffs being the only exception.

NCAA FB/ Mens BB- this is one place that team coverage is actually decent. the problem here is that people like herbstreet think the no every thing and they reall don't.

NFL- same as ncaa its not team coverage thats the probem here, its the so called "experts".

Sports illustrated is the same way. i mean i don't know why they can't seem to give respect and credit where it is due. anymore i only watch espn untill the scores i want to see come on and then i flip the channel, and i only flip through si anymore because i can't stand what some of these guys say. its rediculous

look like i said i don't mind eson and si i really don't but its just not the kind of sports journalism i prefer to watch and read.

easy to win when its fixed
Jun 13, 2007 | 1:10PM | report this

let me start by sayin this, while i maybe be a diehard cleveland fan, im MAN enough to admit when another team out plays mine. but so far no ''TEAM" has out played mine. three paid off officiating crews have. look call me bitter or biased or whatever the hell you want. but before yoou do read this, which was taken from wikipedia's article on david stern:

During 2007 playoff series between the Phoenix Suns and the San Antonio Spurs, Spurs guard Bruce Bowen made a blatant attempt to injure Suns Amare Stoudemire and also committed an unnecessary flagrant foul on Steve Nash but received no fines or suspensions. However, David Stern approved a suspension for Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw, two of the Suns best players, for stepping off the bench after an incident on May 15 where Spurs Robert Horry shoved Steve Nash into the scorer’s table. It is clear that the actions taken by David Stern greatly benefited the Spurs, despite the fact that it was Robert Horry who knocked Steve Nash off of the court. David Stern has received criticism for issuing these suspensions that aided in the Spurs' winning the series.

and it don't even mention the fact that in the same game tim duncan stepped off the bench and and was given nothing.  now i haven't reasearched to deeply into the nba's rules yet. but, i believe the nba rules state plainly that, any player who steps off the bench,(meaning crosses the out of bounds line onto the court will be suspended for atleast one game REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES for which the player did so.

so if this is true then why wasent duncan suspended? gee i wonder.

look to all the spurs fans out there, you will of course say that this is all BLEEP. or whatever but think about this:

last night in the final second of the game lebron james was BLANTANTLY and FLEGRANTLY fouled IN THE PROCESS OF SHOOTING a 3 point shot, no whistle blew. everyone else in the entire world including the commentators if you were paying attention, knew it was a foul, but not the refs. no not the refs who have now made it official that this ENTIRE PLAYOFF TOURNAMENT from the beginning of the first round was fixed for spurs to win.

even people out side of the sporting world knows it. the wikipedia article excerpt proves it.

look to all the spur fans: of course like i said before you gonna say this is all bs and your gonna say all kinds of other stuff, but you would the spurs are your favorite team. even if bowen would have walked up and BLEEPer punched lebron james in the jaw last night you STILL would say it was bs cause you're spurs fans( or i the case of some of you, bandwagoners) and your team can do no wrong. at least I can admit that my team played bad basketball for the most part, but it still don't change the fact that the spurs DIDN'T get this by themselves they had help, from both the refs and the nba itself.

say what you want about me and the cavs( and the suns and the jazz too) but atleast our teams play with 5 players like there supposed too, not 7 and a commissioner

Cleveland teams(the cavs especially right now)get no respect
Jun 05, 2007 | 3:32PM | report this

this year things just seem to be going cleveland's way. the indians are in first place ( for the moment anyway) the browns got a few good players in the draft for once. and then there's the cavs. the cavs have done somthing they have never done in 36 years of being the nba; they made it to the finals. they did what no one thought they would do, they beat the pistons and won the eastern conference finals. they became only the third team in nba history to do so.

and no one wnats to give them any credit for it at all.

in the beginning of the playoffs, everyone said the cavs would sweep the wizards and they did. but while detroit breezed buy the magic, the cavs just slipped by  wizards. then came the second round came and at least one person had the nets in 7. the cavs won 4-2. still they played sloppy or they had a horrible performance even though they won.

and then came the estern conference finals against who else but detroit. and no one gave them a chacnce in hell it was all the detroit in four, detroit in five, detroit in six or seven. some one said " the cavs are a scrub team and will get swept". some one else said "the cavs are pathetic".  and at the start of the series it seemed as though it could have been true.

bu then the cavs came back.

they beat detroit four games in a row. quite the acomplishment. as i said before only three teams ( the cavs included have done it).  the cavs beat detroit and became eastern conference champions. a first for the organization. and now they're on their way to the nba finals, also a first for the organzation.

yet still no respect.

charles barkley said after the cavs won game six and clenched the conference championship " they out played detroit every game".

so why is it so hard fpr every one else to admit this, and why would it be so hard to belive that the cavs could, i repeat could, win the nba title?

ill tell you why.

because no one wants to admit that a cleveland team is good. no one wnats to believe that the indians are in first place in the al central. or that the browns had an a grade draft. ( even though you don't really hear about it.) and no one wants to believe that the cavs are going to the nba finals and have a chance to win an nba title.

yes, they do have a chance i dont care what everybody says.

everyone wants to say that the cavs have no chance. but let me let you guys in on a little secret. one that the "unstoppable pistons" already found out:

nobody is unbeatable.

no not even the spurs, the nba's poster team.

come to think of it, dallas learned that lesson the hard way as well.

you people need to understand that the spurs arent unbeatable. that the cavs ARE NOT as much of a one man team as you think and that they DO have just as much chance as anybody, even the spurs, to win the title. now that doesnt mean that they will but they have a chance.

you people are going to have to realize that cleveland sports is on the way back to the top, wether you or the nba, nfl, and mlb like it or not. and guess what? your ging to have to DEAL WITH IT!
