Kobe Bryant: MVP ?
May 08, 2008 | 12:56PM | report this

Kobe Bryant won his first MVP but did he diserve it?

No. Why?

Because Chris paul took the hornets a team that hasent done anything in how long and made them major contenders and he DID do it singlehandedly.

Dont even get me started on what Lebron james has done for cleveland in just 5 years. In the playoffs four of those five years. won an eastern conference championship last year and made it to the finals in a shorter time than jordan i might add.

lets not forget about Garnett, pierce allen and the celtics.

so concidering all this why Kobe Bryant ?

Well as far as i can tell it is exactly as some people have said a lifetime achivement award.

Lets not forget also thta he is the NBA's biggest cash cow. there were certainly players that had better seasons than he did and because of that the voting should NOT have been so lop sided. but it was. kinda makes you wonder huh ?

THE PATRIOTS LOSE!!!! THE CHEATERS FINALLY GET WHATS COMING TO THEM !!!!
Feb 03, 2008 | 7:48PM | report this

the new england patriots finally got what was coming to them when the giants beat them in what may be THE GREATEST UPSET IN TH HISTORY OF THE NFL (at least in the superbowl era). While the patriots managed to become the first team since the 72' Dolphins ( a REAL perfect team) to have a perfect regular season, none of that matters now as the perfect season that they tried to cheat there way to is OVER!!!! At long last all of us fans of real NFL teams ( you know, the ones that actually play HONESTLY) can rejoice as the DIRTEST team in the history of the nfl has finally got what was coming to them. Now being the fan of a team that got beat buy the partiots (Browns) you may automatically assume that that is why i hate them, but the patriots beating the browns is not the reason for my burning hatred of the patriots, no it is because they were caught in the act of CHEATING one of the few teams in the history of the NFL to be caught, and yet they were allowed to get away with it. the patriots should have been made to forfiet that game against the jets and any other game they taped especially now if it is proven that they ordered that guy to tape the rams during superbowlXXXVI( which all of you know in your mind that they did). but the NFL being as corrupt as it is, decided nah, a little pocket change fine and some probation or whatever else it was ( i don't remember now). Eli manning was great in this game, granted he did have the sacks and he did throw some bad passes, but in the end he and the giants scored when it counted and came out on top. tom brady couldn't get it done, and maybe now finally the world will comeback to reality and realize what a JOKE he really is. All in all this was  one of the greatest NFL football games i have ever seen and im glad i got to watch it. hats off to Eli Manning and the Giants for doing a service to NFL fans every where and knocking the CHEATERS of their high horse so that tom bradys head can finally shrink back to NORMAL size  and we can quit hearing about the #### cheaters once and for all!!!!.

CHEATERS NEVER WIN!!!! #### THE PATRIOTS!!!!

espn and Sports illustrated: the most biased sports journalism out there
Jul 13, 2007 | 8:05AM | report this

I don'y have a problem with espn or si i really don't, but i swear they are the most biased sports journalists i have ever seen.

Lets take espn for example.

Espn has become bnothing but a bunch of self titled "experts" that really only think they know what there talking about when really all they know is how to brag up certain teams and ignore others no matter how good they are. ill take this by sport.

When espn talks about:

NASCAR-  all they talk about is jeff gordon and the other top three gus no one else

MLB- all they talk about is new york, boston and barry bonds. there are other baseball teams you know.  and nobody cares about a cheating steriod user thats gonna cheat his way to a home run record.

NBA- all they talk about is the west coast, this past years playoffs being the only exception.

NCAA FB/ Mens BB- this is one place that team coverage is actually decent. the problem here is that people like herbstreet think the no every thing and they reall don't.

NFL- same as ncaa its not team coverage thats the probem here, its the so called "experts".

Sports illustrated is the same way. i mean i don't know why they can't seem to give respect and credit where it is due. anymore i only watch espn untill the scores i want to see come on and then i flip the channel, and i only flip through si anymore because i can't stand what some of these guys say. its rediculous

look like i said i don't mind eson and si i really don't but its just not the kind of sports journalism i prefer to watch and read.

MLB: Monthly Predictions-AL East
Jun 08, 2007 | 4:46PM | report this

With a little over two months in the books i figure its time to start making mmy monthly predictions. in my monthly predictions i try to determine which teams will see october as well show each division's highlight teams. I'll with the AL East. lets get started shall we.

American League East.

The AL East has really suprised me over these first two months. But no in the way you might think. The dvision is to, put it lightly, bad. thers only one good team in the division, and thats Boston.(yes yankees fans, your team ISN'T the power house team everyone thought they would be. sorry.) The number two team Toronto is 10 games behind. 10. Thats not good at all. In fact, thats pretty bad. if toronto wants to even have a chance of seeing october, they need make some changes, fast. It isnt just the number two either. the number 3,4,and 5 teams, Balitmore, New York, and Tampa Bay respectively, all are behind either 10 games or more. Now it may still be early in the season, but when you think about it, that's still pretty bad.

Balitmore, New york, And Tampa bay all need to make big changes if they want to have a shot at october. There batting isnt as good as it could be and they are making mistakes in the field that need to be accessed so they dont keep making them. There pitching is also a problem especially with new york  and balitmore. They both need more consistent pitchers. They're allowing too many runs too early in the game, and its cosing them. They need to either find some more good pitchers to fill their bullpins, or they need to find a way to get there best pitchers in more often.

By far the Biggest story in the AL East other than Boston's success so far, is New York. the yankees started with high expectations but then they started getting beat by boston and then everyone else and started to fall little by little. They havent Done anything good lately(although they are on a 3 game winning streak). Regardless of how many games they have on over the past week, they going to have to do more if they want to overcome the 10.5 game deficit between them and boston.

Over all, a lot of changes need to happen if any one in the AL East wants to catch up with Boston and have a shot at october.

Teams That have a shot a October: Boston. Toronto might have a shot if they can make some changes quick, but Boston should make it to october with little problem. Allthough its still too ealry to tell for sure, they should the skip over the wild card and start ocotber in the ALDS, but only time will tell for sure.

This is the first in a series. Look for the next part, the AL Central in a few days.
