the new england patriots finally got what was coming to them when the giants beat them in what may be THE GREATEST UPSET IN TH HISTORY OF THE NFL (at least in the superbowl era). While the patriots managed to become the first team since the 72' Dolphins ( a REAL perfect team) to have a perfect regular season, none of that matters now as the perfect season that they tried to cheat there way to is OVER!!!! At long last all of us fans of real NFL teams ( you know, the ones that actually play HONESTLY) can rejoice as the DIRTEST team in the history of the nfl has finally got what was coming to them. Now being the fan of a team that got beat buy the partiots (Browns) you may automatically assume that that is why i hate them, but the patriots beating the browns is not the reason for my burning hatred of the patriots, no it is because they were caught in the act of CHEATING one of the few teams in the history of the NFL to be caught, and yet they were allowed to get away with it. the patriots should have been made to forfiet that game against the jets and any other game they taped especially now if it is proven that they ordered that guy to tape the rams during superbowlXXXVI( which all of you know in your mind that they did). but the NFL being as corrupt as it is, decided nah, a little pocket change fine and some probation or whatever else it was ( i don't remember now). Eli manning was great in this game, granted he did have the sacks and he did throw some bad passes, but in the end he and the giants scored when it counted and came out on top. tom brady couldn't get it done, and maybe now finally the world will comeback to reality and realize what a JOKE he really is. All in all this was one of the greatest NFL football games i have ever seen and im glad i got to watch it. hats off to Eli Manning and the Giants for doing a service to NFL fans every where and knocking the CHEATERS of their high horse so that tom bradys head can finally shrink back to NORMAL size and we can quit hearing about the #### cheaters once and for all!!!!.

I hope to God that after this evening, Fox networks never gets to host another super bowl game for the rest of their miserable lives! If you are living in eastern North Carolina, and maybe other places as well, you have had to deal with Fox network screwing up your favorite shows for the past year; sudden freezes, lost parts of television shows, dead air, etc.
Tonight, Fox topped it off by losing signal right after the coin toss, until after the opening kick! I never watch but one ball game per year and that's the Super Bowl and tonight it was almost completely ruined by Fox's poor broadcast quality. I had friends calling me throughout the night from various network providers (Direct TV, Suddenlink Cable, Dish Network, and over the air antennas) asking me if we could watch the super bowl where we were because their signal was completely out for sometimes as long as three to four minutes! We missed the commercials (which is why we watch it in the first place), missed important parts of the game, and the overall experience was one that pretty much made the broadcast be VERY memorable.
Thank you FOX for ensuring that this year's superbowl will be talked about for years as the worst broadcast ever in the history of television programming!

Their 3 SBs are great, but they still live in the shadow of the Packers of the 60's, Steeler's of the 70's and the 49er's of the 80's. Until they can win a 4th SB, they are not in the discussion of greatest dynasty.

The fact of the matter is that it is very hypocritical to say that fans that don't have a direct interest in the teams playing are on the "bandwagon". Many people rooted for John Elway, Jerome Bettis and Peyton Manning to win a Super Bowl that weren't fans of the Broncos, Steelers or Colts at the time.
The Giants were simply the better team yesterday, in every facet of the game. By the way, the Pats were fined and lost a 1st round pick for Spygate (but in a sad statement, they took the Pats' original 1st rounder, the 32nd pick, and not the 7th pick they got in a trade. What a sham).

If the Cardinals were in the SB against the Pats it would have been the same. Most everyone was rooting for the Cowboys or Packers to go to the SB. That is an interesting take. I guess my definition of a bandwagoner; is one who joins the ranks of rooting for a team when they are doing well and not participating when a team is not. There are many people who always cheer for the underdog of a major sporting event, as long as their team is not involved. Maybe that is "jumping on a wagon". And there certainly are those who root against the favorites like the Yankees, Red Sox and this years' Patriots. If they take delight specifically in a team losing, I suppose that is a form of being on the bandwagon - never really thought of it that way. I am a Steeler's fan and always root for my team. But according to your theory, since I do not favor the Ravens, Browns and Bengals (and I root against them regardless of who they play), I am a bandwagon fan for their opponents. In the end, for all sports fans, it's all about self-interest.
