I don'y have a problem with espn or si i really don't, but i swear they are the most biased sports journalists i have ever seen.
Lets take espn for example.
Espn has become bnothing but a bunch of self titled "experts" that really only think they know what there talking about when really all they know is how to brag up certain teams and ignore others no matter how good they are. ill take this by sport.
When espn talks about:
NASCAR- all they talk about is jeff gordon and the other top three gus no one else
MLB- all they talk about is new york, boston and barry bonds. there are other baseball teams you know. and nobody cares about a cheating steriod user thats gonna cheat his way to a home run record.
NBA- all they talk about is the west coast, this past years playoffs being the only exception.
NCAA FB/ Mens BB- this is one place that team coverage is actually decent. the problem here is that people like herbstreet think the no every thing and they reall don't.
NFL- same as ncaa its not team coverage thats the probem here, its the so called "experts".
Sports illustrated is the same way. i mean i don't know why they can't seem to give respect and credit where it is due. anymore i only watch espn untill the scores i want to see come on and then i flip the channel, and i only flip through si anymore because i can't stand what some of these guys say. its rediculous
look like i said i don't mind eson and si i really don't but its just not the kind of sports journalism i prefer to watch and read.
ESPN just picks the most hyped teams, story, and atheletes. The same with ESPN magazine and Sports Illustrated. That's why I don't subscribe to them anymore. They are boring.
You're wrong about ESPN and MLB. The also seem to spend a lot of time talking about the Prince and Cecil Fielder relationship. I mean what could possibly be more important than that when it comes to Brewer baseball.
What relationship? Prince Fielder never really had a relationship with his father other than sharing the same last name. Let's just hope he doesn't get as big around the middle as his father.

That's the grease that makes the wheels spin and at some point either has us interested or just plain bored. Then at times there's even frustration and anger.
Banality and a lack of true sport's journalism has been the inherent problem with four letter network as of late. And because they know that they can ultimately get away with it and insult the viewer's intelligence. Then they do it and there's nothing that we can do about it other than switch channels. They've no real competition on the horizon. And the behemoth that they are just keeps on rolling and making money for the house that Mickey built.
Hey morons, sports journalism like ESPN and SI is SUPPOSED to be biased. It's the peoples opinions. Do you really want to hear about the Royals? That's why they right about the hyped teams!
Drama Queens like BubbB and the MTV/Reality fanatics are why ESPN, SI, and even Fox have become more about reporting only negatitive news, idiots opinions, and sensationlized stories on anyone they dig up dirt on. its almost impossible to get real sports news or accurate scores, or up to date info on anyone, but because of these losers, you can always find plenty of overblown drama. Thats what Jerry Springer is for. sports are sports, and the media should prtray them that way instead of trying to make money and ratings off of athletes mistakes or personal issues.
peoples lack of morals and hunger for snesationalis,m are one of the many things that are destroying the morals of this cuntry.
hey i agree... hey im a university of oregon sports fan ok but i was really excited when the oregon state baseball team won the championship, why it sends a message out to the east coast that we do have more than a few teams out west, except USC,UCLA theres oregon and oregon state.. the problem i see is consistancy , oregon beats a ranked team , then the next game gets killed, so the upset wasnt an upset it was a fluke!!!!
but see whats gets me the most is when they show highlights they only show them for like 5 or 6 teams in mlb and nba and nfl. college they're not as bad about it
I like both pro and college football and basketball and i like the mlb. im a die hard cleveland fan but that doesn't mean that my opions are biased and i dont suffer from favortism. if another team does good i admit it (usually). i say what i think and i voice my opinions and if people don't like it well thats just fine.
