Who is the best athlete ever??? Jul 07, 2008 \| 1:42PM \| report this I think Deion Sanders is because he was a great track star, football and baseball player. He won superbowls and a world series. Her made either 8 or 9 probowls. What do you think???

Best Football Player Ever

There are so many greats... Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Chuck Bednarik, Otto Graham etc.

I think the best player ever in the NFL was Sammy Baugh. I think this for a number of reasons...

1.) He played offense, defense and special teams.

2.) He led the league in passing, punting and interceptions all in one year!

3.)He changed how the quarterback played the game. He was on one of the first teams who consistently passed the ball.

Need I say more?... It's not for sure but I think he was and will always be the best ever. Please tell me what you think... and why.
